At first I felt excited and nervous, just because it's a new experience for me.However, Nicole, Blake, Megan & even Ms. Ivann made me feel so welcome! I joined in on a culinary class based on sauces, stocks and soups and the guests did an amazing job. The concept of the volunteer is to guide the guests & just be a kind person in their culinary journey This venue is breathtaking, the kitchen is awesome and the knowledge you gain is so worth the experience. I will definitely be back to volunteer again! The guests made: mac and cheese, green bean casserole, kale soup & an awesome salad with the veggies sourced from their own garden Please take a class! After the tour of her garden we got into and deep conversation about the proper way to stock your panty and the advantages of using organic herbs in your meals. I only had knowledge of the appetizer and was pleasantly surprised with the other three courses. Lynn's courses are great fun from beginner to advanced students. When we started preparing the meal everything was set up for us and the instructions were very prominent. Lynn is an excellent instructor and really helped my partner with her confidence in the kitchen. After we were done cooking Lynn had the table set to enjoy this wonderful and easy meal. We had more conversations about life and how she came about to start the class as well as a few more tips on making quick and healthy meals during the week. Overall I give Lynn top marks on her skills, presentation, & hospitality. From the moment we stepped foot in her home, to the time we left I felt the true warmth that you usually only receive from family. I can't wait for our next class with Lynn, which I believe will be very soon and to learn more about coking healthy meal options.

I attended a work event where we were fortunate to have Chef Keith Simpkins. It's evident that Chef Keith is passionate about his work, and his enthusiasm is contagious. Chef Keith taught us how to make tiramisu, pasta, and pesto, which are all among my favorite dishes. I'm pleased to say that I left the dinner with improved cooking skills.
