Last night I attended a 30th birthday for my friend and we had an incredible time at AJ's Kitchen Drawer. We had 8 people in our group and all got to cook 3 delicious courses. We all had various experience levels with cooking and were able to be relaxed while cooking a restaurant quality menu. The birthday girl was able to choose from many recipes for her menu. Here was the courses: Course One: Butternut Squash crostini with kale pesto and ricotta Course Two: Creamy garlic lemon chicken with Haricot vert Course Three: Bananas Foster (with flambé) The food was delicious and I could not have chosen a better menu. We even got to flambé the banana foster with spiced rum (supervises of course). We felt so taken care of and made some new friends as well. I highly recommend this for team building, birthdays, and even the pizza class for kids I heard was a huge hit. Also, there is a gift shop with all handmade wood crafts from wine caddy's to cutting boards all customizable with laser cutting to customize the pieces included in the price. AJ is a farm boy from Wisconsin where the wood is sourced from. We will definitely be back for another occasion or just a friends night out. For $40 a person many places you would pay the same for a 3 course meal. Thank you AJ again for making Jen's 30th Birthday so special!

What an amazing place! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the class was a lot of fun and the recipes easy to recreate at home. I can't wait to go back.

just had our daughters 5th birthday party and let me tell you, to say they go above and beyond to accommodate your needs is an understatement. They were amazing from the moment I contacted them. Natalia was extremely helpful w all the before party logistics, she answered all of my questions and made sure everything was perfectly aligned for the day of the event. Chef Keith... I mean, what a wonderful person, he met me the day before the event so I could start w the decorations and also bring most of the items in so I wasn't rushing the next day. He was kind, helpful, accommodating and so so very good w the kids. My daughter and her friends had an absolute blast and my husband and I couldn't be more grateful and appreciative of all AJ Kitchen staff did for us. Was magical, sweet, well planned, and very profesional. Thank you for an amazing experience, thank you for your kindness and for helping us create beautiful moments w our daughter.

Absolutely perfect planning and execution. AJ and his team were so good with the group of 6 year old girls! The space is spotless, the food was amazing and the atmosphere is just fun! Such a fun and different birthday party idea! Thank you, AJ!

We took a party of 6 this week for my wife's surprise birthday party. We can't stop group texting about how much fun it was. We went for the Absolutely Apple class and really enjoyed doing new things with apples and ingredients we had never tried before. The crustinis might have been the best app we've ever had. Bring your own wine, they clean the dishes, you cook gourmet meals...it's the perfect group dinner. AJ went above and beyond to research a vegetarian dish for the birthday girl that was comparable to the main dish, and called me the day before to see if that would work for us. Even brought out our desert with a birthday candle. Will 100% be back.

Ever since Publix Aprons Cooking School closed, I've been looking for a cooking school that has fun adult classes. The Kitchen House has just started a monthly "book club" called Plot to Plate where they feature a book that relates to or includes recipes. This month was Lessons in Chemistry so my friends and I decided to attend. We bought our tickets in advance as classes can sell out. The classes are different prices depending on what the class is. The house is in a residential neighborhood in College Park and does not have a dedicated parking lot so I would suggest getting there early as you have to find a spot along the street. When we arrived, we were greeted and given a welcome drink, in this case Cardamom Decaf Coffee because it was cold out. One of the instructors said that normally we would walk the garden at the beginning of class and also eat outdoors but since it was cold, we were going to skip the garden and eat inside. Once everyone arrived (cooking classes can have up to 20 people), we met in the lobby to start talking about different themes of the book. Then it was time to wash up and go to the kitchen. All the ingredients were set out for us and we picked the Veggie Pot Pie table with other attendees. The instructor gave us some knife skills lessons and then we all started cooking, using the recipes at our station. Each station makes one recipe so you don't get to make everything. And, the instructors and volunteers don't show you how to make everything first (like Publix Aprons used to do). But, if you just dig in and start going, it is a lot of fun. We had some questions along the way, like is there a spatula we can use? Or, is this the flour or the cornstarch? The volunteers were great and answered everything in a friendly way. As it said you could do in the welcome email we received before the class, some folks brought their own wine and the Kitchen House provided glasses and would pour for you. I think if we go back, we would definitely bring our own wine. My friends and I made the drop biscuits for the Veggie Pot Pie, which were surprisingly easy to make. We were finished early so we also make the Brownies for dessert that used olive oil and maple syrup instead of butter and sugar. When everyone was done cooking, we gathered in the lobby again while the volunteers cleaned and set up the table for dinner. Then, it was time to eat! Dinner was served buffet style and the Kitchen House split our food for people who had different dietary restrictions. For example, some of the recipes used non-dairy alternatives as some people in the class were lactose intolerant and one person had a mushroom allergy so they got a small spinach gallette instead of the mushroom Gallette for everyone else. As we sat down to eat, we discussed the book more in depth. Everything tasted great and we had a wonderful time. We received all the recipes in an email after the class so we could make the foods at home. I will definitely be looking at other adult classes here.

I went with my classmates for medical school and we made 2 different types of spaghetti- one had meat (very good, picture 1) and the other was vegetarian (wasn't terrible, picture 2). The food was fabulous, the presentation was beautiful, and everything he prepared was absolutely delicious. From the very beginning, Chef Bruno made the entire process effortless. During the planning stages, he asked thoughtful questions about our family -- their likes, dislikes, and what we were in the mood for -- and then crafted a fresh, perfectly balanced menu. His selection of appetizers, salads, mains, and desserts satisfied everyone at the table. He visited Walt's Seafood that morning to pick up the freshest fish for our entrée and ceviche, both of which were huge hits. Every side dish and every sauce complemented the meal beautifully, making each course feel complete and memorable. To top it all off, the kitchen was cleaner when he left than when he arrived.
