She also has the patience of a saint because we were a needy bunch! She had two options for our painting - an abstract piece or a framed piece where you could write a saying in the middle. We were split down the middle, half the class choosing each option. Of the saying painters, no one wrote the same thing or her suggested saying. Bless her heart, she had to answer 500 questions and provide 18,000 suggestions for us! She did it all with a smile and lots of enthusiasm. You're allowed to BYOB and snacks, which of course we did. An instructor led us from beginning to end making a bowl. They were very thorough, patient, and welcoming. We sat down on the wheel forming our clay within minutes, I'd say we had our fully formed bowls within 30-45 minutes. They pulled them for us and began drying them for us to glaze at the tables with the turntables. The place was pretty empty so they let us take our time with glaze. Overall a great experience! Would definitely recommend for a date, family outing, or any other event. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's worth a visit and there are memberships available as well!

As we walked in the store, my eyes wandered from wall to wall. There are displays, paintings, glassware and other items that grabs your attention. We were greeted and spoke with the owner of the store for a while. I ordered The Raven specialty slushie. It is made from mango, strawberry, lemon, rum and triple sec. It was delicious. I had to keep reminding myself to pace myself and not to drink too fast. It was that good. It was not too strong and tasted great. Calliope Street offers painting classes. You only need 4 people minimum for a private party. They not only provide slushies but also offer other alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for purchase. Now is the time to visit and enjoy everything Calliope has to offer. Calliope Street will be closing after December as the owner is retiring.
