This was quite different from any school I've dealt with before but because of what they teach it's actually an excellent venue. They have multiple parts to their building, including a small theater where they put on performances. We were here for a couple of hours while the one cofounder talked us through everything the school does. We got a full tour and quite the education on how things will work. We also got to introduce to several of the existing students who came to help answer questions from the potential students and their guests. I can definitely see where pretty much anyone could benefit from going to school here.

I didn't expect it to change my entire thinking on humans, emotions and life in general- and all for the better! I had been acting for years, but always felt a little wobbly in my process and authenticity- Marco and Robb helped me transform my ways and I feel like I can deliver more substantive performances now. Plus, I have started booking roles other than just commercials! The curriculum is well-structured, thoughtful and challenging. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, offering clear explanations and helpful strategies to approaching roles using the Meisner technique. One of the most valuable aspects of the course of course is meeting the other students and finding a safe inclusive environment. Encouragement to be ourselves, commitment to being present helps even the shyest among us shine. Positive immediate feedback helps us progress while homework and serious study leads to success. This is not a passive education- this is a hands on, what you put in is what you get out type conservatory, In addition to Meisner acting, the school provides useful resources and information like job boards, how to audition, write a resume, headshots, find an agent and more. Marco and Robb and Sam are the most gracious and open people so no question is denied. I am looking forward to continuing my studies with Truthful as the courses are always progressing with changes in the industry. Do yourself a favor and attend an open house at least and feel the welcome. I bet you will meet alumni and current student who show up just to hang out- because Truthful is their home away from home- where we feel our true selves.

As a fan of deals and fun experiences, this was totally in my element. We paid $25 a person with the discount and an additional $5 for paint balloons and $5 for two squirt guns filled with paint. We also got two canvases and we're able to pick our colors and got the room to ourselves. We had fun throwing the paint on our canvases as well as each other. They do provide bunny suits and visors to make sure that you don't get dirty. They also gave me a Ziploc bag that I could put my phone in and a lanyard so I could easily access it. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend checking this place out and doing the splatter Quest!

From 3D printing to laser cutting they have a little bit of everything if you are a crafter. The instructors are there to help you and guide you through understanding all the library has to offer. Everyone there has been so incredibly nice and helpful I always learn so much when I visit. Definitely grateful to have something like this offer to Orange county residents. It does take a little bit of time to take all of the orientations and then take the assessments to use the machines but it's well worth it. They do have time limits on the machines but You're able to get quite a few projects done in a day. (Granted I've done 3D prints that have taken over 5 hours) So be prepared to potentially spend a lot of time here depending on what you're doing. If you're an Orange county resident I do recommend checking this place out. Even if you're not that crafty They offer other services that can help build your business or add to your hobbies.

Wow- This is seriously one of the coolest places in town!…read more For what? Well, the Melrose Center (MC) houses audio, visual, photo, simulation, 3D printing, tech work spaces, and so much more. I took a tour today of the center after having heard tons of buzz (and being a bit embarrassed to say that I hadn't visited it yet. I looked online and realized that they hold orientations and tours daily- and today they were at 2pm. I was right on time (parked right across the street in the lot on Central) and met Ben at the desk. We started with one of the classroom spaces that has some great simulation gear, but he then led me to the Simulation Lab, a room with crazy-cool driving, flight, and construction vehicle simulators! We're talking multi-screen seating with all of the controls you'd use in those real machines. VERY good start! We walked over to a section of the MC, called Tech Central, which was set up with presentation seating. They have a drop down screen and projector connected to an iPad for this area and they don't charge you to use it and hold meetings (you have to schedule it ahead of time though). I was geeking out hard core when we went by the various workspaces around the center. It's mostly open-plan with movable desks and spaces that you can adjust as your group needs. They had brand new MacPros with dual screens that anyone can use (with all of the Adobe and creative suites you can think of). Then came the real crazy stuff. An audio production studio; video production studio; sound boxes for recording podcasts, voice overs, your pretty voice, etc; photo studio with light boxes for photographing products; editing bays; conference room; etc. HOLY FREAKING MOLEY. The photo studio and Sound Booths can be reserved for FREE for 2 hours a day, any 3 days a week and the audio and video studios can be booked for 4 hours a day, 3 days a week. That means that we all have full access to professional studios and equipment for between 6 and 12 hours a week for free. I'm kind of freaking out right now, guys. If you have some time, take a walk over to the Melrose Center and check out the space. You will likely see me as I will be working from there at least twice a week from now on! ~sigh~ Places like this remind me why I love this city!!

His arrival and set up were flawless as was his cleanup. We did an individual paining but he also guided us through a team collaboration painting ensuring that each person had a role in the team creation. We are NOT a group of painters but he made everyone feel comfortable and confident in their creations! He was also just a pleasant and fun guy to hang out with for the evening. The convenience of having this fun activity in your own home or preferred location is the icing on the cake! My team was already asking about when we could do it again! Will be booking him for many more events in the future, including my son's birthday party. Thank you, Christian!

You can have hour-and-a-half (that's the minimum time you can have) classes or longer. It is not cheap (I pay about $30/hour) however the class is geared to my learning style, speed of learning, and what I want to learn (work-related terminology and sentences that I can use right away). The best part about taking these classes is that Aaron teaches me familiar/less formal (in addition to formal) words and phrases, and we can digress on interesting topics that come up. Oh, and books are included with your tuition.
