I finally decided on a date . I then sent her my design and it was approved to use. My class was at 12pm on Sunday the 17th and it took about 2 &1/2 hrs to get finish my design . I will say it started off ruff for me trying to grasp the instructions but, once I did I was able to navigate the design . The advise they give is to " Trust the Process" & I can't stress that enough ! After you're done she'll email you once the rug is ready to be picked up . It still has to be trimmed etc. This was an Amazing activity to do solo , for a date night or even as a group . You can also do this family style with the kids. I'll def be back . I def feel like you get your value you paid . The shop is very cute and I look forward to trying some other designs. They will be offering new services this summer like creating a stool design etc so def keep your eye out for updates.

Reluctantly rating Bowes Candles as "Not good" on the basis that I have not received the item I…read morepaid for, and I have been given no solution but to pay more money in order to receive it. I visited the lovely shop in-person to purchase three scent oils. When I got home to the UK, I discovered that they had given me an incorrect product with the wrong label. I emailed Bowes my $19.17 receipt and asked if I could return the oil for an exchange (as long as shipping and import fees were covered). Bowes offered to send a replacement, or for me to have online store credit. However, Bowes declined to cover the import fees I would be charged for either solution, because they could not determine what they would cost. This was understandable, so I asked for a simple refund to save us all the hassle. Bowes also declined to provide a refund. We went back and forth for over 2 weeks, with 13 emails. I kept trying to suggest workarounds that they might be happy with and wouldn't mean I had to spend more money, but these were not acknowledged. Bowes' tone was friendly, but it soon felt robotic, and they showed zero expression of understanding towards the fact that they were giving me no option but to pay towards the process of fixing their mistake. It is my understanding that, according to business standards, when a business does not fulfil their end of the sale, the resolution for their failure should not leave the customer financially disadvantaged. In the end, I politely told them that I would withdraw and leave a review, but I wanted to give them one last chance. I said "are you able to offer a solution to Bowes' mistake that will not leave me financially disadvantaged (i.e. spending money on the import fee)? As mentioned, I would be glad to engage to figure out something that works for us both." It has now been a week, and I have received no response. All this could have been resolved for both parties if Bowes had just sent a refund, but they did not even acknowledge the predicament they had put me in, and now I am $19.17 short. I would be willing to remove this review if Bowes gets back in touch to resolve the issue accordingly.

I said The Grand Floridian so she brings us to a candle section that has the same scent as the hotel. Under Disney guidelines, they can't call the candle The Grand Floridian Candle but she gives us a nudge saying this is the same scent. I bought three items, one for my son who loves The Boardwalk Hotel. I have my purchase, The Grand Floridian Car Scent. I'm on the plane doin' a happy dance: My car is gonna smell like Disney. Woo hoo! Yeah.. For a day. The scent was so weak! When I came back to Disney during Christmas, I went back to the store and said there's no scent in these items. The counter woman apologized and gave us a small bottle to add more scent. I went home, I added a bunch of liquid to this thing. I'm still not getting anything that smells like a Disney hotel.

There is quite a bit to remember, so pay attention so you can explain it to your littles as you go. They had a great selection of pottery to choose from with a good mix of prices. There is a $10 studio charge in addition to the cost of the pottery to cover the materials and studio time, but there's no limit to how long you can spend painting, which I appreciated! When you're done, you leave the pottery there so they can fire it. They said it takes about 3-5 days to complete it. I'm excited to see how ours turn out! We had a great time, and my niece is dying to go paint more pottery!

Today, we brought our Mom to Crafted Scent Bar in Mt Dora for a Candle making experience to…read morecelebrate her birthday. This business has great reviews on other sights and we really really loved this. We decided to do this while we were at lunch and we booked the 3pm session. All 5 of us got to pick from a huge selection of scents and we were allowed to combine as many scents as we wanted to use. There are several selections we could choose from to make at different price points and we all chose the middle price point option to create 10 Oz candles (1 each). The owners were present to help guide us in choosing what scents may complement each other. We were given the glass jars that we chose along with a wick to stick into the jar. After smelling the different scent samples that we were interested in and made our selections, we wrote them down on a card. The owner then brought us each of the scents we chose in individual bottles. We were also given beakers and small scales. We were then instructed how much total weight in scent that we needed to blend. For example, I chose 3 scents to blend, so I started out adding a few drops of each scent into the beaker and judged how much more of each scent to add based upon the smell. The more I added, the better it smelled. I blended Orange Blossom, Plumeria and Gardenia together. Once we had the proper weight in scent mixed, we were each given a pitcher of melted wax and a stick. We were directed to pour all of or beaker of blended scents into the melted wax and stir. Once we had thoroughly mixed our scents into the wax, it was then time to pour the now scented wax into the selected candle jars. The owner then gave each of us a tool to help keep the wick straight in the candle jar while our candles solidified. While they were solidifying, we walked down the street into some of the other shops. We returned a little more than an hour later to pick up our mostly solidified candles to take home with us. You are welcome to bring your own drinks with you. The shop sells already made candles and scents, tshirts, candle and tart accessories etc. the owner and staff (her Mom) are wonderful and enjoyable to work with. Our family really enjoyed this whole experience and recommend this for your family, your work team, friend group, church group, etc. we will most likely do this again and will bring friends to experience this with. All 5 of us chose the same price level making a 10 Oz candle in a beautiful colored glass container with wood lids at ($42 each). Yes you can buy candles fir less money, yes you can choose a less expensive price point....we really enjoyed the experience and the end products we created in their beautiful colored glass jars...and most importantly Mom enjoyed this as a Happy Birthday activity with her two adult kids and our husbands. Our instructor Sid was great, they were very helpful and attentive. We were able to make two small bowls and paint them after they dried. I had been looking forward to attending this class for over a year and chose to celebrate my birthday here with friends and family. We were all very excited, which made the experience even more disappointing. The class started an hour later than scheduled, despite the website stating that participants cannot join if they are more than five minutes late. There was little to no explanation for the delay. Once the class began, it felt rushed, likely due to the late start. When I asked for help, staff often stepped in and fixed things themselves rather than showing me how to do it, which defeated the purpose of creating my own pottery. I also asked questions about air bubbles in the clay and the firing process but was not acknowledged. This was especially concerning, as I later discovered that my bowl cracked during firing--something I was specifically worried about. Additionally, the glazing and firing processes were not explained at all. When we moved on to painting, we were left to figure things out on our own without guidance. The class is advertised as making a bowl, but the final product was much closer to a small trinket dish, which was another letdown. On top of everything else, they lost my pottery when I called to check up on it and it had to be found. Given that we spent several hundred dollars, I expected a much higher level of instruction, organization, and communication. The overall experience, combined with the complete lack of response to my attempts to address these concerns, has left me deeply disappointed and regretful that I chose this studio.

Since we chose 3 different things to make, we got to see different processes and learn more about how you can make the glass do various things, use the tools, etc. We chose a drinking glass, a wavy bowl, and a thick bowl. Each of us was able to choose whatever color or color combo we wanted as well, so there was a lot of opportunity for customization. The staff member who worked with us was informative but also funny and kept the whole session interesting even during the times when someone else was making their item and the rest of us were just watching. He told us which items were a little more hands on so we could do more parts of the process as well. The items need to be held for a few days before pick up, but the pick up process was also simple. We truly had a great time and would love to come back.

They also have a tea bar in the back where you can make your own tea mix and they will fill up sachets for you. They also sell tea you can drink while you walk around. They have gifts like journals, books, dried flowers, crystals, sage, zero waste gifts like bamboo toothbrushes and reusable paper towels and more. My favorite part of this store is the plant section. They have a huge selection of baby plants as well as medium sized plants. They are small, so they are affordable. My entire living room wall started out with baby plants from this shop. Now, they've grown into a beautiful indoor garden. If you're unsure about which plants to get, they have signs explaining what each plant is and what light and how much water it needs. Just went to the Resin Flower Jewlery Workshop with Sonja. It was really fun: great girls night or…read moredate or go on your own. I went on my own. Sonja explained the process simply in the way only an expert could. I needed advice on my earrings, and she helped me add a pop of green. Sonja was very informative, friendly, and encouraging. She managed people working on different steps or different speeds well. I never felt rushed during the process. Some people were back at class for a second time, and there were a lot of new people. There were eight people in this class. You got to make two necklaces, two pairs of earrings, or one of each. I made one of each. She had gold and silver colors. I only looked at silver, but she had teardrop earrings and pendants and circle earrings and pendants, some small and some large. For the decoration, she had a lot of different flowers, leaves, gems, and glitter, what looked like stickers but were probably not, and other items. She let us take pictures of the products she used in the workshop (ex. the brand of resin she used). It's a lovely shop with a lot of lovely products to buy but also no pressure to buy. I did end up buying some coin dishes for my desk though and a book. You can bring food, and I did. Autumn and Ro is located between Florida Wax House and Glass Orlando, and there is free parking in the back. They're right across from Santiago's Bodega. 10/10 would recommend. I could tell she cared about the artists because she talked a bit about them and their work. There was some paintings of motions of water on canvas and necklace pendants. The store newly opened just about 4 months ago, so I am glad I walked by this store on accident.
