My husband entrusted this shop with extensive high performance work on his 1965 Mustang and I couldn't be more impressed with the result. From start to finish, Chris and his team were professional, communicative, and clearly passionate about what they do. They took the time to explain the process, set realistic expectations, and delivered phenomenal results. My husband was thrilled and I have Life's Good Racing to thank! read more

I took a very long time deciding on Side Rockers for my Camaro 2SS1LE, and even longer about who I wanted to install them. So many shops were a "no" until I found Life's Good Racing. Despite a minor set back due to shipping, Chris assured me that when the ACS composite skirts arrived that he would take care of them. I left a message after closing Friday night and imagine my surprise at getting a call first thing Monday morning, saying he could do it today! A couple hours later I got a call saying they were done. I couldn't be happier with the level of service that I got from Life Is Good Racing,The care they took with my car, and the price that came in underestimate. They did an awesome job on my side rockers. I am extremely picky and careful when it comes to what I do with the car and they took the same level of care and attention not only having it but working on it. I couldn't be more pleased and from now on will reach out to them for not only mods but routine service work on the car, thanks again guys, I really appreciate you. Chip read more

Life's Good Racing is the best automotive shop around! Their expertise, experience, and creativity are top notch. They've handled many projects for me and I continue to recommend them with confidence. read more

Absolute Pro's! Very refreshing to find a shop that knows what they are doing, do what they say they are going to do on time, are easy to work with, friendly, and don't gouge you - Highly recommend! read more

Beware..... Nothing but issues after they built my car. Original quote was $10K and they ended up charging me $35,782. Had to pay or I couldn't get my car back. All I asked for was for them to fix the issues but they let ego get in the way and blamed me for everything. I ended up having to take the car to Billy Built in San Ramon to get a bunch of things fixed on it. I'd highly recommend them over LGR. My brake lines were straight up zip tied!.... read more

I found my forever shop. After a bad experience with a dealership I went to life good racing. Not only are they fair on pricing they provide a service like no other. The communication and advice was fantastic. I had multiple long phone calls with their techs on what route to take with the car. They also always took their time explaining concepts and helped my confidence moving forward. Life good racing not only cares about your car but they care about you as a person. Money well spent. read more

These guys are the best. Its getting harder to find shops that work on classics. I have taken my resto mod a couple times. They are upfront on the costs, try to find ways to keep the costs down, and their work is top notch. They treat your car like its one of their own, no cutting corners. Couldn't be happier with the results. I definitely recommend Life's Good Racing. read more

After some really bad experiences with numerous other car shops in the area - just taking my car and deposit, keeping the car for months and doing no work on it, losing parts etc - my experience with LGR is the opposite. Really great work and diagnoses, great communication, and they were willing to take on an unfamiliar car (older, complicated Mercedes) and they knocked it out of the park. read more

Excellent customer service, excellent workmanship and communication... great pricing. Highly recommend for all your automotive needs!!

I needed to replace my OE struts/springs on my MKIV Supra. KW listed several dealers in the Bay Area. Life's Good Racing gave me a fair price and, more importantly, Chris' presale communications convinced me they are experts in aftermarket upgrades for both American & JDMs. Making the one hour drive from the peninsula to Livermore was worth the journey. Here are some notable bullet points from my experience. * Chris located one set of coilovers (KW V3) in NV and two others in the east coast. To expedite and save on shipping, he asked me pay a nominal deposit to secure the coilovers from NV, which I did via an emailed invoice by bank ACH. Credit card was not an option, probably due to fees. UPS tracking number was provided to me. * Appointment date was very flexible. Easy location to find. Available waiting room, but no wifi, unless you have an xfinity account. Starbucks and restaurants within (safe) walking distance. * I opted to wait on location. It's a good thing I stayed as the technician (I forgot his name; nice guy) was very meticulous with the installation. He came to me several times to address issues that pertained to my Supra. * When the installation and alignment was completed, the tech took her out for a quick test drive. There was no abnormal noise or knocks. He also showed me where I can make rebound/compression adjustments. Overall, I am very satisfied with Life's Good Racing. I even received a follow up call a week later. read more

I just wanted to update this review to note that there were issues with a product that was out of our control. Life's Good Racing followed up with the vendor and brought in parts needed to repair the issue. I tried to call and coordinate this work with the vendor myself - but it would have been weeks of going back and forth with their sales team. Life's Good Racing not only provides support and skills needed for the work, but they also have the connections to make it right. I'll drive over 75 minutes to have LGR do it right. read more

Chris is really good at sending updates at a timely manner as well as giving options to what can be done when problems occur. It's hard to find a place who can work on special custom projects let alone a place you can trust to do it right the first time. They worked on my 72 Dodge Demon installing a full aftermarket front suspension even though they've never worked on this specific car and/or the vendor for the parts. We hit a few bumps into getting it installed for which raised the approximate finish time as well as the estimated price of install. Neither would be their fault as the aftermarket vendor sent wrong parts, etc. But after the install, the car felt completely like a different car and handled much better. Thank you! read more

I went to get girodiscs and ebc brake pads installed on my ct4-v blackwing. The team provided excellent communication and service, with knowledgeable and responsible staff who are happy to share their advice on racing setups and products to make sure I knew what I was getting into, both during the pre-appointment call and on-site. All of this was provided at reasonable price, and a quick turnaround, pretty much flawless service overall. Drove from the peninsula to get there and would do it again. read more

I've been coming to Life's Good Racing for the past 3 years for various work on my WRX. The main point of contact, Chris, has always been extremely responsive, personable, and knowledgeable when it came to answering my questions. LGR has not only met my expectations but exceeded them with their thorough work, competitive pricing, and clear communication. I could not recommend this shop more for any and all your vehicle needs! Despite moving to Walnut Creek, I plan to bring all my vehicles to Livermore for any work/maintenance required. read more

Best shop i've ever taken my car to. When my new intercooler pump was not installed correctly in my '04 Cobra, Life's Good Racing got my car into their shop without hesitation, reinstalled the pump and hoses, and had my car ready to run and charged a very reasonable price. Super nice and knowledgeable guys with a lot of trophy's and stories to show for their experience. Definitely will be the only shop that will work on my car. Thanks fellas read more

Chris and the guys over at Life's Good Racing are blessed by the automotive gods. For reference I'm difficult to impress and it's even harder to gain my trust. These guys have blown me away time and time again with their honesty, knowledge, wisdom, and skill. This shop is not out to make as much profit as they can out of their clients. Their pricing is fair, they won't upsell you, and will steer you away from extras you don't need. In other words it's not all about the money. Just by talking to them it is evident that they have a passion for cars. They treat your vehicle like it's their own. If something doesn't fit or isn't available to work with your car they have the skills to fabricate it. They have fabricated several parts for me and they aren't something just slapped together. I recently had them do a transmission swap for me. I'm beyond impressed with how it turned out, the fabricated parts looked like art pieces even though they are parts that the average person would never see. The level of detail is incredible. I've been going to this shop for over 3 years now and I look forward to future projects in the years to come. Thanks boys!!! read more

So glad I brought my car here, Chris and his crew are absolute professionals. I had some coilovers installed, and we kept running into issues (no fault of theirs) and they went above and beyond to make sure everything went together properly. It's really rare to come across shops like this today, these guys really care about their work. I can't recommend them enough. read more

I've been a regular customer of Life's Good Racing since my original review. They've maintained and updated all my HPDE cars over the years. As I mentioned in my original review, they have real racing experience and expertise, they support race teams and support two race cars in-house. Now they've been updating my 2022 4Runner with 540xx miles on it. They've installed a CSF radiator and Bilstein 6112 front and 5160 rear suspension. Today, they've just installed Superpro lower control arms and a East Coast Gear Supply clamshell bushing. I'm writing this review because I can't believe the difference the lower control arms and bushing makes. I had felt some shake in my front left wheel, and these control arms and bushing seem to completely eliminate it. The whole front end feels more solid. As usual service was excellent and fast. I think of Life's Good Racing as almost a boutique custom shop. They work on a variety of cars, e.g. Vipers, Corvettes, Evo's, BMWs, Pontiac GTO, and their hallmark is excellence. They will help you repair or enhance your car just the way you want it, and give you solid advice on how best to get the results you want, including rebuilding a car from the frame up. They are a go-to shop for any kind of sophisticated or complex work. Check out their Instagram feed to see the different kinds of cars they've worked on. read more

These guys are awesome! I could not be happier with the hospitality and service. I have a 2017 Civic with some performance modifications to the suspension. I started experiencing some noise in the rear suspension and I couldn't find it. Chris and Chris at this shop were fantastic!! They found the noise and then went through the rear suspension found some other little things that somehow worked loose. I am so stoked. The drive back to work was quiet and felt so good now. I will absolutely be coming back to LGR for further projects. This is a quality shop and quality people read more

Can't say enough positive things about my experience. While LGR worked on my vehicle, Chris always provided updates. I can appreciate a shop that communicates and I was never left in the dark about the next steps. The first thing you will notice about LGR is the pride they take in their work. They will treat your vehicle as if it were their own! LGR surpassed my expectations! read more

I brought my car to the shop to have the motor pulled and later reinstalled in a 1969 Camaro. Chris and the crew did an amazing job. I called LGF for some quotes for install on parts I purchased. I spoke with Chris and he was very friendly and accommodating in regards to the questions I had. Set up an appt. and I came in around noon time for install on a set of BMR springs, some Powerstop brakes and some Diode Dynamics side markers. Once I got in, they took care of me and took my car to the garage to get started. LGR has a nice waiting area...I thought it was comfortable vs some others I have been too. The garage looks great...very clean and professional. Chris got two techs on my ZL1 and I was in and out in about 3hrs. They bedded and bled my brakes as well. I really enjoyed the service and the professionalism from LGR. I will definitely be back for more upgrades in the future. read more

I wanted my new, larger, non-German SUV to handle like my old, smaller and nimbler X1. And Chris came up with a solution that exceeded expectations. The car handles better than I imagined it would. It's sportier than factory without sacrificing ride comfort. The aesthetic is great. The pricing was reasonable and service outstanding. So much so that a week later I had him install a steering wheel on the same vehicle. Again the same story of good service, knowledge and execution. read more

The team at Life's Good Racing does amazing work on many different makes of vehicles- I've seen older European cars, a lot of American muscle, and Japanese tuners all at their shop with varying levels of performance/investment. Finding a performance shop you can trust with your beloved automobile that won't cut corners is hard- LGR has a very polite and extremely knowledgeable crew that can tackle a wide range of tasks. They've personally helped me with my 1990 miata, and now my 1994 miata and I've been ecstatic with the work and care they treat me and my cars with. If you are looking for quality aftermarket work to your vehicle, look no further. read more

Called Life's Good Racing on a short notice to see if they could install a long tube cold air intake on my Infiniti G37, they were happy enough to make time in such a short notice for the installation. Took my 65 mustang to LGR some months back since i was having power steering issues. They did diagnose a return line routed incorrectly and made a new line so that was fixed. There was also a leak at the apaptors on the power steering box that i pointed out but when i got it back home it was still leaking through the threads. Just paid a lot of money to only be left issues unresolved. Seems like i paid a lot in labor for "Diagnosing". Seem like knowledgeable guys but when i asked for a estimate to redo the power steering box and pump and essentially redo the job, i was told that it would be a lot of money and never given an option to fix there. I took that as they didn't want my business. Went to Driven Garage in Oakland/Hayward and they helped me out for a fraction of the cost and resolved my issues. They are nice guys but this shop just didn't work out for me. read more

Very helpful in helping me choose brake pads for my needs and answering questions I had about other things. Cost was very close to estimate and was constantly updated throughout the process. Great customer service read more

I have a 2019 mustang that sees a lot of time on the road courses around the Bay Area. Chris and the team were able to squeeze my car in between my track days. I had them install an oil cooler in the lower grill of the car and braided steel brake lines. The oil cooler was modified to fit in the lower grill. I dropped the car off on Monday and it was done by Thursday. Chris kept me posted the whole time. If your car sees track time these people understand you. I have nothing to say other than great words about Chris and his team at Life's Good Racing. They worked on my RCF for multiple mods, fixed bad installed mid pipe, identified issues with new parts (correctly!), help to hop in to a call to the vendor and kept professionalism and objectivity even vendor rep was acting like spoiled toddler. They are fair in their pricing, and try to give you best advice rather than adding your bill things that you do not need. Chris takes things to next level by doing prework, research and giving you good advice even before you become a customer. Everything these guys worked on, is top notch and zero issues.
