I took a very long time deciding on Side Rockers for my Camaro 2SS1LE, and even longer about who I wanted to install them. So many shops were a "no" until I found Life's Good Racing. Despite a minor set back due to shipping, Chris assured me that when the ACS composite skirts arrived that he would take care of them. Beware..... Nothing but issues after they built my car. Original quote was $10K and they ended up charging me $35,782. Had to pay or I couldn't get my car back. All I asked for was for them to fix the issues but they let ego get in the way and blamed me for everything. I needed to replace my OE struts/springs on my MKIV Supra. KW listed several dealers in the Bay Area. Life's Good Racing gave me a fair price and, more importantly, Chris' presale communications convinced me they are experts in aftermarket upgrades for both American & JDMs. Making the one hour drive from the peninsula to Livermore was worth the journey. Here are some notable bullet points from my experience. * Chris located one set of coilovers (KW V3) in NV and two others in the east coast. To expedite and save on shipping, he asked me pay a nominal deposit to secure the coilovers from NV, which I did via an emailed invoice by bank ACH. Credit card was not an option, probably due to fees. UPS tracking number was provided to me. * Appointment date was very flexible. Easy location to find. Available waiting room, but no wifi, unless you have an xfinity account. Starbucks and restaurants within (safe) walking distance. * I opted to wait on location. It's a good thing I stayed as the technician (I forgot his name; nice guy) was very meticulous with the installation. He came to me several times to address issues that pertained to my Supra. * When the installation and alignment was completed, the tech took her out for a quick test drive. There was no abnormal noise or knocks. He also showed me where I can make rebound/compression adjustments. Overall, I am very satisfied with Life's Good Racing. The team provided excellent communication and service, with knowledgeable and responsible staff who are happy to share their advice on racing setups and products to make sure I knew what I was getting into, both during the pre-appointment call and on-site. Chris is really good at sending updates at a timely manner as well as giving options to what can be done when problems occur. It's hard to find a place who can work on special custom projects let alone a place you can trust to do it right the first time. They worked on my 72 Dodge Demon installing a full aftermarket front suspension even though they've never worked on this specific car and/or the vendor for the parts. We hit a few bumps into getting it installed for which raised the approximate finish time as well as the estimated price of install. Neither would be their fault as the aftermarket vendor sent wrong parts, etc. But after the install, the car felt completely like a different car and handled much better. Thank you! read more

I've been a regular customer of Life's Good Racing since my original review. They've maintained and updated all my HPDE cars over the years. As I mentioned in my original review, they have real racing experience and expertise, they support race teams and support two race cars in-house. Now they've been updating my 2022 4Runner with 540xx miles on it. They've installed a CSF radiator and Bilstein 6112 front and 5160 rear suspension. Today, they've just installed Superpro lower control arms and a East Coast Gear Supply clamshell bushing. I'm writing this review because I can't believe the difference the lower control arms and bushing makes. I had felt some shake in my front left wheel, and these control arms and bushing seem to completely eliminate it. The whole front end feels more solid. As usual service was excellent and fast. I think of Life's Good Racing as almost a boutique custom shop. They work on a variety of cars, e.g. Vipers, Corvettes, Evo's, BMWs, Pontiac GTO, and their hallmark is excellence. They will help you repair or enhance your car just the way you want it, and give you solid advice on how best to get the results you want, including rebuilding a car from the frame up. These guys are awesome! I could not be happier with the hospitality and service. I have a 2017 Civic with some performance modifications to the suspension. I started experiencing some noise in the rear suspension and I couldn't find it. Chris and Chris at this shop were fantastic!! I called LGF for some quotes for install on parts I purchased. I spoke with Chris and he was very friendly and accommodating in regards to the questions I had. Set up an appt. and I came in around noon time for install on a set of BMR springs, some Powerstop brakes and some Diode Dynamics side markers. Once I got in, they took care of me and took my car to the garage to get started. LGR has a nice waiting area...I thought it was comfortable vs some others I have been too. Took my 65 mustang to LGR some months back since i was having power steering issues. They did diagnose a return line routed incorrectly and made a new line so that was fixed. There was also a leak at the apaptors on the power steering box that i pointed out but when i got it back home it was still leaking through the threads. Just paid a lot of money to only be left issues unresolved. Seems like i paid a lot in labor for "Diagnosing". Seem like knowledgeable guys but when i asked for a estimate to redo the power steering box and pump and essentially redo the job, i was told that it would be a lot of money and never given an option to fix there. I took that as they didn't want my business. Went to Driven Garage in Oakland/Hayward and they helped me out for a fraction of the cost and resolved my issues. They are nice guys but this shop just didn't work out for me. read more

I have a 2019 mustang that sees a lot of time on the road courses around the Bay Area. Chris and the team were able to squeeze my car in between my track days. I had them install an oil cooler in the lower grill of the car and braided steel brake lines. The oil cooler was modified to fit in the lower grill. I dropped the car off on Monday and it was done by Thursday. Chris kept me posted the whole time. If your car sees track time these people understand you.
