I went in last night for a iPhone 6s Plus screen to be replaced that was cracked and a fifth of the bottom screen was not working. I paid $130, which I thought was steep, as I had previously paid for the same thing at the price of $65 somewhere twenty minutes away - but it was convenience. When I walked out last night, I had a working and uncracked phone screen, but my Touch ID was not working. So I called and was told that I can come back the next day for them to fix it. The next day, I walked in to the manager (who then went back to the back of the office to talk to the person who originally fixed my screen - I know this because I could hear them). In the back, after I explained the issue, I did hear the manager say "Oh this is why it's not working, because you put this on first instead of this." So twenty minutes later he comes out saying that he can't get it to work, my battery died on him (so of course, he recommends a battery change), and that he can give me a refund and I can go to Apple. This is all fine, but then I decided that an un-cracked screen is better than nothing, so I try multiple times to say "pardon me" and "excuse me" loudly to get their attention since they're in the back room, while placing myself in front of the security cameras with the door to the back cracked. Yet no one comes out for 10 minutes until they bring my phone and my original cracked screen. When the manager comes out, I confronted him, but he couldn't hear me because of music (even though there was a cracked door and I could hear them talking faintly when they weren't raising their voice like I was). Overall, I'm very unhappy with this experience, the way I was treated by the manager, and the process in general. The person who came in the night before with me returned his phone to be fixed too... Started acting up after he got it back. My personal recommendation is to go somewhere else that is half the price and the people are nicer. read more

I've come here on two occasions. The first one for my iPhone 6 battery, which was draining extremely fast. The employee was very friendly and did the diagnostics test. He confirmed that the battery was the issue and told me it would take about an hour or so to install the new battery. Once I received my phone back it started functioning normally again. My most recent visit was for an iPhone 6 screen replacement. The price was about the same compared to other "fix it" shops in the area. Again, I was told the replacement would take about an hour. Once I picked up the iPhone, everything seemed great, however, I soon noticed that the screen had a "blue tint" compared to my other iPhone with the stock Apple screen. I went in and asked the manager why it was different and he let me know that Apple doesn't offer their screens out to the public, so LifeLine Repairs purchases the highest quality ones they can. Unfortunately, this new screen causes more eye strain compared to the one that originally comes with the phone. It's still good quality, just not the same. Additionally, I should note that the replacement screen did cause the home button to become "loose," as it began wobbling a little if you pushed on one side or the other. I came back in the next day to ask about this issue and the manager let me know that's what happens once a screen is replaced. He offered to try and apply some adhesive to the button to keep it more steady. 5 minutes later, he brought the phone out and it seemed steadier than before. I guess it won't ever be the same as the original, but it's not bad. Overall, I'm happy. The manager and employees are very friendly and offered solutions without me having to ask. I'll be back here for battery replacements or anything that doesn't deal with the screen. read more

My iPhone 6 battery was going bust, having only about a 5 hour charge. Found LifeLine, made an appointment, and got my phone battery changed within a half hour. Reasonable charge, and it would've cost me a lot more to send it to Apple and have to wait two weeks for it to return. The only small gripe I have is the power ports are far away from the sitting area, and there isn't free wifi for customers who are waiting with their laptops or tablets. However, there are a few restaurants around the area if you want to grab a quick bite to eat while you wait for your repair. Staff is very courteous and professional, and is willing to help you out. I'd been going around with a cracked screen on my iPhone 6S for over six months. That's when I spilled bubble tea on it. The phone was completely dead, and, jackass that I am, I hadn't backed any of the data up for 16 months. Not knowing where else to go, I went to the Apple Store in Highland Village. To make a long story short, after waiting two hours and forty five minutes, the "genius" I spoke to told me that I would need to mail my phone off to a place in San Francisco, where it would take up to four weeks and minimum $1000 to recover the data. And after all that they still might not be able to get my data back. Thankfully I reached out to one of my techie friends who recommended I go to LifeLine on Holcombe. I got there 10 minutes before they were closing. The manager, Nico, greeted me warmly, assured me it was no problem to fix, and that they'd have it ready in 24 hours. He was funny, friendly and nice, and he basically talked me off the cliff after my experience at the Apple Store. He was professional and honest, gave me a written quote, and refused payment until my phone had been fixed. 24 hours later my phone was working perfectly with all the data recovered, at a fraction of the price I thought I'd have to pay. I'm unbelievably grateful to the team at LifeLine. I'm giving out their business cards and recommending them to all my friends. We are so lucky to have them in Houston. read more

I found this place on Yelp as I needed my iPhone screen repaired. I hardly write reviews but my experiences here were all top notch customer service! They fixed my phone in about 10-15 minutes and I also purchased some accessories which the guy gave me a small discount on which was nice :) They have a nice warranty which came in handy; there was an issue with my screen a week later, but I brought it back and they gladly replaced it! Illegitimate establishment. They sure look good on the exterior though. They tried to steal a screw from my phone that was near the charging port, but they sneakily put it back once I started complaining about other things. The metal near the charging port was bent upwards. The LCD screen on my phone is bulging out on the right side. Certain screen functions like 3D touch don't work sometimes. I came in to get my Droid DNA repaired; I had cracked the screen and the LCD was shot. The main positive here is that everyone was very friendly, making sure I knew exactly what I was getting, both when I spoke to representatives on the phone and in person in the store. Every single employee I encountered was nothing but courteous, so that's a big plus. The Droid DNA is a little rare these days, so it took a few days to initially order my replacement screen. That's fine, that's just how it goes with technology. However, when I was notified that my phone was repaired and I went in to pick it up, the earpiece was no longer working, as well as the replacement screen having a dead strip right in the middle that was unresponsive to touch. The odd part was that the touchscreen worked the very first time I swiped my password in, and the refused to work from then on out. We both assumed it was a problem with the replacement screen they got, so when they offered to order a new screen and put it on, I was completely fine with that. Fast forward to the second time I pick my phone up... The employee tells me that the person who repaired my phone tested the screen and made sure that it was working fully. I get my phone back and run into the same issue as last time: dead strip in the middle of the screen. The employe at the counter takes my phone back and successfully swipes in my passcode. Once. And then the screen becomes completely unresponsive again. They did give me a free tempered glass iPhone screen protector, so that was nice. So they go ahead and order me a replacement phone at no charge to me. This is the second plus. They could have easily just refunded me and sent me on my way, but they didn't. Although due to all the frustrations I experienced with the replacement process, I would almost be okay with them having done that. The employee told me that they would order a phone from corporate and that it would get overnighted to the store. Awesome. Except that was not the case. I called a few days later asking about the status of my phone and they told me that it would arrive anywhere from the following Monday to Wednesday. I call on Wednesday and the phone still has not arrived; when I looked up the tracking number, it was scheduled to arrive on Thursday. Apparently, corporate did not offer one-day shipping. Thanks to USPS, the phone finally arrived in the store. On Friday. I went ot go pick up my phone and the first thing I noticed was that the screen worked. Yay. But there were huge dings in the body of the phone. I understand that they probably ordered me a refurbished phone, but I wasn't expecting one in such bad condition. However, they told me that there was really nothing they could do to compensate me for my time or the condition of the phone since they didn't have any cases in the store. All in all, from the time I first dropped my phone off in the store to the time I finally picked it up, 34 days. To fix a broken LCD. I left feeling pretty bummed. read more

This is where you go when geniuses at Apple tell you that you're S.O.L. I made the mistake of not wanting to backup my phone through iCloud and sticking to backing it up on my laptop every couple of months. I have Apple care so trading in my iPhone 6s that turned into a brick during Harvey for a new phone would've been free. I hadn't backed up my phone since November(-ish?) since backing it up always took too long and I never cared for iCloud. During Harvey my phone turned into a brick and just wouldn't turn on after DIYs, diagnostics, aaand reading so many articles. Turning it on and off wasn't going to get it to work either. The laptop I had backed my phone on didn't have much but my laptop was already good as dead. I was told by geniuses at Apple that nothing was going to make my phone turn on so the 13,000 pictures and videos were a thing of the past. Trading in my old phone for a new one without any fees would've been the simple solution but I would've been fine having an iPhone 2 as long as I was able to keep the data of my 6s. Actual review: Nico knew what the issue was after just a quick inspection and said he could get it working with the right tools. My phone had to be shipped out so the whole process took about a week. Lifeline let me know what the overall price would be (definitely affordable compared to Apple or any repair place) as well as when my phone would be shipped and arrive. Yes, there are plenty of places that repair screens and swap batteries but if your phone issue is beyond that then LIFELINE. Somehow during Harvey my phone just shut off and wouldn't turn back on. No battery or display issue; just turned into a brick. Nico was sure he could get my phone working again and had said he seen a similar issue after geniuses at Apple said they had never seen an issue like mine. My phone works just as it always did. No issues. If you don't have Apple Care (which might not always be helpful) then skip comparing prices between local phone repair places and go straight to Lifeline! Worst experience. Went for screen repair, and the store 'fixed' my screen on my iPhone 8plus and broke absolutely EVERYTHING INSIDE my phone including the buttons, charging port, capabilities of my phone. They made me come back 2-3x every week for 6weeks trying to fix it, but never were able to give me a fixed phone. Then they sent my phone off to corporate to be fixed and gave me a crappy loaner phone that didn't even work, and caused me to be out of a a working phone for greater than 3months. Not only are they unprofessional and incompetent, they didn't even reimburse me for anything, maybe even just the screen costs would've been appreciated. But for alll the trouble they gave me to just have a working phone, they did not even think to refund me just that. Horrible place. If you have a newer phone, they are inexperienced in fixing them and you're much better off taking it straight to apple. Wish i could've given them 0stars read more

Absolutely outstanding service at this repair store! My laptop wasn't functioning well to the point where I couldn't get it to run continuously for more than 5 minutes at a time before it crashing or freezing on me. After spending a considerable time struggling to fix it on my own, I found this place on Google and decided to give it a visit based on all the raving reviews. Let me tell you: it didn't disappoint, far from it! I showed up at the store at 3pm on a weekend, and I got it back working perfectly that same day! Nico was superb in all aspects: very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Amazingly, I wasn't even charged for anything because apparently, it was an easy enough fix for Nico. James, the manager, responded to me on Yelp very quickly. He broke down exactly what the cost would be, as well as tell me about the Yelp discounts they offered (turned out to be the best deal, even before the discounts). I brought the phone in and 10 minutes later it was good as new along with a 4-month warranty. They also had a nice check-in deal for a free charging cable. I was in Houston on holiday when the screen on my phone died; I had just had it replaced at home and was unwilling to spend the money to install yet another one, but they opened it up and re-seated it free of charge, to see if that would resolve the issue (it didn't, sadly). Prices were very reasonable (he even came down a bit on what a screen replacement would cost; it's quite pricey for the Nexus 5) and service was fantastic (friendly and very quick). Great, fast, and friendly repair. Came twice to fix my screen, unfortunately the warranty on the first screen did not cover the damage that I accrued on the second go around. They explained everything patiently and reasonably and offered a discount and upgrade on the screen. Irregardless of my disappointment re the warranty, the service was great. Came in at 5:45 and left at 6:15pm with a fully functional phone. Goof option if you do not have Apple Care, are out of warranty, or just don't want to travel all the way to an Apple store and wait forever. If you do have Apple Care or are in warranty this may not be the most price conscious option, but then again time is money too. read more

This place goes above and beyond! I had previously repaired my phone at another place and after a month or so I dropped it just a little bit and the screen went out. I called LifeLine and got a very proffessional conversation about prices from worst case to best case scenario. They were very easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable with their service. So I make my way into the store to drop off my phone. They take a look at it for about 5 minutes and find out that the previous repair shop simply hadn't finished the repair properly and a cable had come lose. My fiancee dropped her iPhone and the screen stopped working. We brought it to Verizon and they told us a replacement phone would cost $550 since she wasn't eligible for an update on her phone plan.
