They couldn't even fit the back cover on correctly. This is the gold back cover they fit to match the front cover they accidentally gave me.
Yovan C.

I'm not one to write negative reviews of businesses online. In fact, I've never written one. However, the mediocrity of Kitablet's work and their poor customer service was enough to compel me to join Yelp and write this. If that's not enough to tell you something, keep reading. Also, please don't be fooled by the other 18 positive comments, as this business offers discounts for reviews. My advice to you is to do yourself a favor and thoroughly weigh all other options before even considering this store. This is my experience at Kitablet: I cracked the screen on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The glass was cracked, but the screen was completely working. On Samsung Edge phones, replacing a cracked screen means replacing both the LCD and the glass cover together. I understand that since this phone is new, parts are expensive and hard to find. However, this store assured me that they would be able to fix the phone and offered a competitive price of ($253 + tax). Since most of the 18 reviews on Yelp were positive, I thought I would give them a try. This was my first mistake. When I arrived to pick up my phone, they handed me my phone with a new GOLD screen. My phone is silver. Next, when I turned on the screen, I found a black spot at the top of the display where a section of pixels was dead. They gave me a defective screen of the wrong color and hoped I would not notice. They later told me that their vendor only had black and gold screens in stock. Kitablet did not bother to notify me about this. THEN, I touched the home button (which was still silver) and found that it had somehow been loosened to the point where I could remove it by pulling on it. I pointed out the issues to the technician, Julian, who claimed that he hadn't noticed that the display was flawed and the wrong color. That's interesting, considering that he has been doing this job for 8 years. The next day I returned to ask that they honor their 90-day warranty. They promised that they could solve the problems and do the original repair by the end of the business day. I trusted them again and gave them my phone. This was my second mistake. Three hours later, the receptionist called me and told me that "there was a hiccup with the repair." She proceeded to tell me that all of the screens they had were similarly defective, and the best they could do was replace my original silver back-cover with a gold one to match the gold front screen they accidentally gave me the day before. They declined to tell me where they were buying their parts from (because it's not from Samsung), and the receptionist put me on hold 9 times in 2 minutes while they scrambled to get their story straight. I asked that they give me back my old broken screen and refund me, but they refused. Mike, the store owner, was nowhere to be found the entire day. On the third day, I just wanted my phone back. They told me it would be ready at noon. I arrived at 12:30 but had to wait until 1:15 to receive my phone because Julian was on his break. (It's worth adding that during the 45 minutes I was waiting, I watched them anger another customer to the point where she threatened to leave). I asked James, the only other employee present, if it was possible for him to just give me my phone. He responded to me with a poor attitude and told me to sit down and be patient. I asked him if he was aware of the situation that their company had put me in, and he confirmed. Again, he told me to be patient. At this point, I was angry. I explained to him that their company has turned a promised 4-hour repair into a 3-day disaster. Furthermore, they've managed to give me the wrong color screen, a defective LCD, and a broken home key. Kitablet offered me a free tempered glass protector for my troubles (approx. $20 value). As James applied the protector, I noticed that he hadn't wiped my screen before applying it and I asked that he do so. He responded by asking me, "Well would you like to do it yourself?" He then proceeded to wipe my screen with the bottom of his shirt and stick the protector on. It fell off 30 minutes later. I am now typing this review on a gold phone with a defective screen and a broken silver home key. None of these are things I wanted. But thanks to Kitablet, I have them. TL; DR: I came into this store with a cosmetic phone issue. They took my one problem and turned it into three problems, one of which concerns the phone's performance. They've returned my phone to me more damaged than it was when I first brought it to them. The people at Kitablet have managed to singlehandedly reduced the value of my phone and swindle $273.86 from me. I feel lucky to even have gotten my phone back at all. I cannot stress this enough: Avoid this store. They are dishonest and incompetent. P.S. Like any respectable establishment, they claim that their card machine is broken. They only accept cash. Luckily there is a conveniently placed ATM right next to the receptionist.

Getting my $8 off by posting this across my social media pages and platforms! :)

What: Kitablet is a phone repair llc that is tucked away in an office building off of Harwin. Where: The office building has a parking garage right next to it with many visitor spots. Park and then use the elevator to go down to the first floor where you have to walk across to the office building and the their suite is on the second floor. Service: I walked in at 11 a.m. on a Thursday and told woman working the front desk my issue: cracked iphone 6 screen and assisted me right away by making sure the phone was still functional (pressing the home button and making sure the touch screen was responsive) and then handed it to the tech guy to work his magic on my cracked screen. After 15-20 minutes, they handed my iphone back and TA-DA it looked brand new. Why I'm giving them 5 stars ... - efficiently fast - 90 day warranty - affordable price for cracked screen = They have GREAT discounts across living social, yelp ^^ and groupon; you don't even need to purchase the discounts through these sites; they will honor the price just by word of mouth or showing a screen shot. On top of that, they will inform you about their social media promotion where you can take up to $8 off of your current total by following/liking/posting a photo of their flyer across your social media pages as well as leaving a review (yelp/groupon/google+). With this being said, they honored the groupon discount which was $59 to fix an iphone 6 cracked screen then they deducted $8 from the subtotal; therefore, the grand total ended up being $55 (incl tax)=MADE ME FORGET HOW MUCH OF A CLUTZ I WAS FOR DROPPING MY PHONE BECAUSE I FOUND AN AWESOME DEAL. I recommend KITABLET for your iphone repair needs!

Kitablet did a great job on our phones for a reasonable price in less than 4 hours. Go visit Mark and Mike! Great guys!

Mark and Mike at Kitablet were awesome. I bought 2 Groupon deals to repair my kids IPhone 6S phones. They got the repair done on both in about 3.5 hours. They called me like they said they would and the phones both work and look great. Thank you guys!

I had my phone LCD and frame fixed and it looks like new. Very professional. The building is named as a bank on google maps. You go inside and if the door is locked, just call them to open it. If not, they are located on the 2nd floor. Once you get there Mike should be able to help you.

Very fair prices. This was taken in April 2016.

Got my phone fixed inexpensively yesterday at Kitablet, avoiding other shady, poorly-rated cell phone repair shops (and a closer-to-me, popular Sugar Land shop that irreparably damaged my phone when replacing the screen, while denying negligence). Kitablet has a 5-star rating by all its reviewers, for good reason. They were kind, thorough, and explained everything to me during the process while I waited. Definitely worth the few extra minutes it took to get there.

The absurdly high rating for this biz had me calling them immediately, in which a young man named Eid promptly quoted $250 to fix it. This was at least $50-75 cheaper than most of their competition. I agreed to it. It's a tiny shop that's next to a gas station. It looks completely run down and if it weren't for the reviews, I'd have a hard time seeing myself here. I was told that I'd be able to come pick it up in roughly 3 hours. Kudos for allowing same-day service. By the time it was ready for pickup, I came in to inspect the phone. I noticed just there are some gaps on the screen but it was responsive. Right as it became time to pay I learned they were unwilling to accept the Yelp check in offer of 10% off and would charge an additional $20 fee when deciding to use a credit card. I went out to get cash and eventually paid. When asking for a receipt, he gave me a piece of paper with some scribbles and largely illegible penmanship. Overall the repair was successful, the price was right, but the inconvenience and shoddy customer service might mean I will reconsider my business if this ever happens again.
