I will begin this review by stating that I was not in any rush to get my item back. Ordered my son a case for his Nintendo 3DS XL and of course.........HE DROPS AND BREAKS IT the day before the case arrives!!!!!!! Found ER4 on Google search and did read mixed reviews, most seemed to be complaining of the time it took to fix. I watched videos on YouTube and decided that would be better to have a "pro" fix the 3DS. Dropped it off and was told they would have to order part from China.....that's fine, took about a week and got a call it was fixed. Went and picked up and looks and plays good as new. I will state however in regards to complaints by others---- as I was waiting my turn there was a guy at counter complaining about them fixing his iPhone. Apparently ER4 had it for 2 weeks and was saying it would be 1 more week to fix.....guy said he was told 1 week in first place and he was pissed. Last week I came in to get my 2DSXL repaired and I was recommended to come to this repair shop by my sister since we both agreed none of the ones near our house were reliable. The guy who checked it was quick to respond to me and confident in saying he would get the top screen (which was the issue) fixed within 3-5 business days. Recently I bought a iPhone from them, told me it was in excellent working condition. Turns out when I got home the iPhone was in horrible condition. Overheated I could cook an egg on there. The phone would crash for simple task such as FaceTime, iMessage, camera. I ended up getting a refund for the phone. But you shouldn't advertise the phone as being in excellent condition. Outright cheaters. Took my iPhone for screen repairs. Was told that they are putting in OLed screen, original Apple product. The colors were very different after the repair. They told us it comes with warranty and to come back in a week if it still persists. A week later, they refused to refund the money saying there is a scratch in the screen. A NIGHTMARE. I had brought a laptop to this shop and had good service in 2018. Not any longer, last week I brought in my MacBook in, initially, I was told the tech would run diagnostics, and they would call me before starting any work and let me know costs. 3 days later, still no call, so I contacted them, front desk guy said the tech was working on it and it would be $130, which I didn't debate even though at the time they hadn't found the problem. 2 more days, no call, again, contact them, same story. 2 days later, I call numerous times and no answer until I call from another number, on every call the front desk guy tells me a story and when I request to speak with the tech ( to get a clear answer on progress) I get the runaround. Day 10, I go to pick up my Mac since nothing has been achieved in communication or resolving the issue with the Mac. The front desk guy repeatedly states they had the " same problems" and couldn't figure it out , and that the hard dive is in tact. I immediately took the Mac to another shop that opened it to find gravel and dust throughout the unit. Within minutes they stated the hard drive had been wiped , and the ram had been destroyed. In contacting ER4GADGETS, the front desk guy was extremely defensive, denied ( lied ) about the handling, and damage, as expected. Neutrally this is the nightmare no one wants to experience with a tech shop, along with the possibility they have access to everything on the hard drive, and for that possibility , we filed a report with HPD. I have seen this place for awhile now because I eat next door from time to time and from the outside it looks like a respectable place so I decided to give it a shot when it came time to have my electronics repaired. I happened to bring in a MacBook Pro as well as an iMac for diagnosis. The MBP they said was beyond repair which I had figured so there was no surprise there but the iMac they claimed was repairable so I asked for a quote. They said they would need to order a part and should be able to repair the iMac with a couple of weeks. I asked that they call me when it was ready and let things be for about two weeks. The first time it happened I didn't think much of it but I had to call them to check on the progress. Nothing had been done yet as they were still waiting on the part but said it would be in next week. I had to call and check on it again and they still did not have an answer for me. This goes on for almost 3 months. I missed my wife's birthday, I missed xmas, I missed V-day...what was supposed to be a quick gift dragged out to months of me calling them to find out when it would be ready and being told the parts they tried were not working. In the end, the iMac was eventually fixed and has been working great. They were able to deliver as promised but their lack of communication and expected completion dates really pissed me off. If it is something simple that you need fixed or you have PLENTY of time to wait for them to repair your item then these are your guys because it seems that eventually it'll get done. Disclaimer: I did not have my phone serviced at this location. I cam to ER4GADGETS after reading the positive Yelp reviews. I dropped my Iphone 6+ on the concrete of a parking garage and shattered my screen pretty badly. First, there are no prices listed online, but I assumed (my fault) that they would be comparable to Apple or at least try to be a little cheaper. When I walked in at 10:00 am, I should have known to walk away after the two people in front of me did. The first person in line was told that it would take 3 weeks to fix his laptop, the second guy was quoted an out of this world price, and then it was my turn... I was quoted $180 prior to taxes in order to fix the screen which is more expensive than taking your phone to the Apple store. When I asked him why it was so expensive he informed me that because it was a big screen it is a bigger price. Um, no. That doesn't answer the question of why you charge more than Apple. It would have taken about 3 days to fix my phone so I just walked out. The dude also seemed like he didn't want to be at work. I know that working isn't necessarily fun, but you're making money...maybe. I took my phone to a competitor, whose Yelp review is on my profile. They charged me $150, were much nicer, and offered me a discount on future repairs and screen protection. Stay away from this place unless you like to pay more for sub par service. read more

I needed repairs on two iPhones. Both needed new screens and one needed additional work on the volume button. The gentleman told me to come back at 3:00 (3.5 hours later) and quoted me a price for both phones. There is no written information in the store about pricing--he literally just pulled these numbers out of the air. The quote was signigicantly higher than other quotes I had received and the other places said they could make the repairs in an hour, but the location was more convenient so I gave it a shot. When I returned more than 3 hours later, the second phone was not finished. Forty-five minutes later, he resurfaces and tells me that they couldn't complete the repair on the button. The screens look fine and I hope they will work, etc. However, if you quote someone a time, then it seems like a good business practice to give the customer a courtesy call if you are running significantly behind schedule. He wasn't apologetic about the delay--and he could not give any real explanation about why they couldn't repair the volume button on the phone. He just said they weren't sure what was going on with the button. There are so many places that repair phones--particurlarly screens--in less time for a lot less money. Completely worthless and incompetent. I dropped of a dell laptop that would not boot. They had it for three weeks and never made a single phone call to me for an update. I called several times and was told each time that the technician would look at my computer soon. After 3 weeks I stopped in the location and asked about the status and I was told that my hard drive was probably fine, but that the problem was with the interface on the motherboard and that my PC could not be repaired. I took my laptop after paying 25 dollars for their worthless diagnostic and went to The Geek Squad at Best Buy. The next day I picked up my laptop with a new hard drive and it was working perfectly. I called the store at 9am and asked how long it would take to fix a cracked iPad screen. The guy said one hour. I dropped it off at 10a, came back at 11a, and the guy said it would be ready at 3pm- the tech got in a wreck. Called at 2:30pm and the guy said it world be ready at 5pm. I told him I'm going to come get my iPad and go elsewhere. He put me on hold and then said 3:30, it would be ready. Went back to store- third time now, and waited in the lobby for five or so mins without anyone coming out. Finally yelled "hello" and the guy came out and said it'll be done in a few mins. For the price- you can get the same done elsewhere but quicker. read more

My wife cracked her iPhone 6 screen and needed it repaired fast before she had to get to work. I pulled up yelp and went to the first phone fixing place that showed up. I'm VERY glad that this was where I went because they were fast and very helpful! The screen replacement took around 15 minutes. The waiting room was very clean and they had some great tv/magazines to help me bide my time. When he was done, he showed me that he also added a screen protector film on the new glass at no charge. I dropped and shattered my iPad 2 Screen, I called around to shop prices and repair time the prices are comparable to everyone else but the repair time was a lot less. I was quoted $99.00-$100 everywhere but anywhere from 2 hours to 2 days repair time. I paid $108.24 after taxes for my screen to be repaired with a wait time of no more than 45 minutes (I left to take care of a few things), they also gave me a free screen protector. Highly disappointed in the diagnosis I received on my laptop. I brought my laptop in Tuesday to get a diagnosis on why it wasn't working. I told them that it wasn't holding a charge unless I wiggled the charging cord and may be the charging port but not sure. The guy said that it looks like the charging port and he would have to order the part and it would take 5 days to fix come in and one day to fix, and at a cost of $125. However, a transformer had went out and they lost power so he wasn't able to do anything until the next day. I said I would come back the following day after noon, but decided to go down the street to get a 2nd opinion. The 2nd repair shop told me it wasn't my charging port, but the actual charger itself and I just needed to purchase a new one from an electronic store. I only had to pay for a new charger at $55 at Micro Center and using my laptop as we speak!!! read more
