You can tell they really enjoy what they do. They made the experience interactive and personal. You spend the time to customize a fragrance from clean non toxic products that is truly you. The value was also very reasonable for what you get in. There offer other services outside of their fragrance making class.

We were able to test out the guns before starting on our own rugs. They provided great feedback on how to improve your process which was super helpful. Overall I had a great experience and i definitely would go back. I just have couple small suggestions that could make the experience perfect. I think the instructors could have been more clear about the safety training. We also spent a lot of time setting up so some people in my group only had 1hr vs 2 hrs to actually work on their rug. It is nice that you can come back and finish your rug if you're not done!!

I attended their candle making workshop which was so much fun. Jax walked us through scent…read morecombinations so we could each make a custom scent. The class was $60 and each person made two large candles. Normal candles from the shop are $32 each so this is a great deal to get a custom scented candle. I'm partial to #76 which had a watery floral scent

We had their last time slot of the day and it was a full class. Before the class started we were able to explore the shop a bit and there were so many candles and accessories. It's so cute inside! Our instructor Mossi was amazing and very knowledgeable about the different types of scents and combinations. It was so much fun figuring out which scents I resonated the most with. We also got to smell everyone's scent combinations which was cool knowing that scents smell different to every person. After the class, we got a small discount on any additional items we wanted to purchase that day. I got this really cool dirty martini candle and a wick dipper. Heads up that candle pick up is the next day so the wax can settle. They will hold your candles for two weeks but after that they will burn them in the store. During the workshop, the store ran out of one of the scents my friend wanted to use. We made it work and found a substitute but the during pickup we found a note, a slip for another workshop and a small candle to make up for the inconvenience. That was so nice of them! As for my candle, I don't think I can recreate it anywhere else. It's only been two weeks and I've already burned through most of one of them because it smells so good. The scents actually last and linger in any space you put them in. I 100% recommend this place whether you want to try a workshop, give this experience as a gift or just stop by to smell the candles. Heads up it's BYOB. You don't have to drink but you're able to bring something if you want.

Clean, well lit and non-sketchy Botanicas seem to be a rare commodity. If so, then Botanica San…read moreMiguel, and the wonderfully kind and helpful woman who runs it, have struck gold! I'm a big fan of this place and the people working there. I'm white and don't speak spanish, but every time I enter I'm greeted with "Welcome, this is your house" and a smile. The prices are good ( unusually, as most botanicas either charge wayyy too much or give me their 'white-boy' prices), they have a great selection of religious statues (Saints, folk Saints, Orichas etc...), different Colognes, the herb selection is great and well priced, a good deal of beads and saint necklaces, keychans and medalions, and they even have flowers. Also, slightly more difficult to find items, such as tiny thunderstones, pyrite etc... Also a good deal of spiritual and magical books, though these are for the most part in spanish and relatd to the spiritual practices of spanish speaking peoples in the US ( so no Wicca books, no western and english-language new age crystal books, and unfortunatley no legit grimoires either). While I haven't been to every single botanica in Boston, I really don't feel a need to go exploring if I'm in Boston and in need spiritual supplies. Best way to get there is to take either the 37 from Copley, or to get off at the Forrest Hills stop on the orange line and to walk up centre street towards downtown Boston (it'll be maybe 2 or 3 or 4 short blocks on the right hand side. Even if you aren't a believer, I recomend stopping in for a quick and colorful and multiple candle-lit vacation to the other side of beliefe.
