Fabulous! Tammie was fun & informative. My granddaughter & I were lucky enough to be the only 2 at our workshop. We had so much fun & made heavenly scented candles. Would love to go again!

The class was $60 and each person made two large candles. Normal candles from the shop are $32 each so this is a great deal to get a custom scented candle. The candles were ready for pickup next day and I've enjoyed burning them at home. They also have a great collection of premade candles with even more scents. I'm partial to #76 which had a watery floral scent

We had their last time slot of the day and it was a full class. Before the class started we were able to explore the shop a bit and there were so many candles and accessories. It's so cute inside! Our instructor Mossi was amazing and very knowledgeable about the different types of scents and combinations. It was so much fun figuring out which scents I resonated the most with. We also got to smell everyone's scent combinations which was cool knowing that scents smell different to every person. After the class, we got a small discount on any additional items we wanted to purchase that day. I got this really cool dirty martini candle and a wick dipper. Heads up that candle pick up is the next day so the wax can settle. They will hold your candles for two weeks but after that they will burn them in the store. During the workshop, the store ran out of one of the scents my friend wanted to use. We made it work and found a substitute but the during pickup we found a note, a slip for another workshop and a small candle to make up for the inconvenience. That was so nice of them! As for my candle, I don't think I can recreate it anywhere else. It's only been two weeks and I've already burned through most of one of them because it smells so good. The scents actually last and linger in any space you put them in. I 100% recommend this place whether you want to try a workshop, give this experience as a gift or just stop by to smell the candles. Heads up it's BYOB. You don't have to drink but you're able to bring something if you want.

This day, I found myself curious of the shops around & entered Brookline Booksmith w/ an optimistic mind! Okay, so I was totally not expecting this store to be so big. It has two sides, one with little Knick knacks, stationery items, + gifts & the other side was mostly books! They had a great selection of books, basically most things you could find at your local Barnes & Noble, just with a better gift selection hahaha. The gift side reminded me of the paper store almost BUT BETTER. Anyways, yeah so I will be back soon & I'd say it's worth the visit if you haven't explored this gem yet ;) Great place for book lovers, gift givers, & even just if you like finding cute things that you typically wouldn't see at other stores around.

They've got all the vibes and have a lot of hidden gems to be found. Some things can be a bit pricey especially on the gift side, but I would say otherwise on average for the type of items. I love that they always have bargain books and the whole used book section downstairs (that's where you can definitely find deals)! Worth exploring if you're checking out the area or a local who loves books and/or cute things!

The space was cozy and from the moment we walked in Steysy made us feel right at home. The workshop was hands on activities and allowed for us to express ourself artistically. We were able to craft our own candles with our selected scent. The collaboration with Flower and Vibe was top notch. It added an extra layer of creativity and working closely with your loved one to create a flower arrangement. The flower arrangement was the perfect touch to go with our candles. The cost of the workshop was $180 for both so I'm assuming it's $90/ pp. It's a bit costly, but for the experience it was worth it.

She guided my group and I through each step of the candle making process and was so clear, easy to follow and informative! She has a background in education and as a fellow educator, she really broke candle making all the way down and even the chemistry behind it! There are many oils to choose from, and you can even mix a few so long as the combination is roughly 30 grams. You also get to choose whatever jar you like. Lucky for me, there was one chrome jar left on the shelf so I was able to grab that one to use! There was also refreshments, wine, and light snacks served during the workshop which was a great addition with the ticket purchase. Now, this is a newer black owned business and women owed business, so I'm happy to support! The shop itself is very quaint, but has a lot of items for purchase, like other candles, perfumes, jewelry, and scents. It's located in the Speedway in Brookline which has a small lot beside it, but there's street parking if you are lucky or a Community Center parking lot a couple minutes away to park at. Apparently, the owner also does soap making classes which sounds very interesting. I'm already thinking of coming back again sometime in the spring with some more friends! Please go! You won't be disappointed!!

These are really good quality natural/raw fragrances that are beginner and sensitive friendly. As a person sensitive to smells and who doesn't really wear fragrances for fear of them being too powerful or causing migraine, I was skeptical of trying perfume. I was recommended to try BYREDO by my friends roommate who is into perfume because this business uses natural/raw ingredients to formulate their fragrances. I walked in and it was empty so I got some great service and tried almost all of the perfumes, and I realized what I liked/didn't like. It's hard to commit to just one fragrance so I opted to get a smaller perfume. Well the salesperson recommended I actually get 3 small ones for only $40 more. This is a great deal for a beginner like me who wants quality products and to explore what I like. And on top of that I was given the option of 3 free samples. And then they threw in a couple samples of body wash as well. I feel so pampered and am excited to wear my new perfumes. They didn't overwhelm me and since they are natural they won't trigger a migraine.
