Sometimes you see a ton of 5 star reviews and wonder if a place is actually great or just really on top of PR. Happy to say Life Stage is solidly in the "earned it" category. The owner Mollie was very responsive and helpful with the booking process. She also proactively followed up via text to check on my experience as a first-timer, and to fix a small payment miscommunication before I even made it all the way back home. As for the massage and facility itself I enjoyed the small touches like slippers and water/tea. The aromas are really pleasant, and my massage therapist Kim was fantastic. He found my usual tension very quickly but also uncovered some gnarly other spots I didn't know were there. I know they're doing serious good work when I feel relaxed yet walk out a teeny bit nauseous and sniffly! It's not the cheapest prenatal massage option but I'm glad to have chosen here anyway, given the excellent service and experience this team seems to have with pregnant clients. Already looking forward to a future visit. read more

Life stage is the best of the best. I have been seeing Julie since mid pregnancy (now 4 months postpartum!!) and I am an absolute superfan. The supportive pillows that allow you to lay belly down while pregnant combined with actual expertise when it comes to pregnant bodies made me confident that my baby and body was so safe during every massage. In addition to Julie being wonderful, Mollie who runs the studio is an absolute sweetheart and truly has made Life Stage a warm place for all those who enter! read more

Lori is fantastic, very happy with knowledge and expertise in lymphatic drainage massage.

I Olympic train, so I need my body to perform at a high level. For the last five or six months, I haven't been able to train pain-free, and I really didn't think it was possible to get back to where I needed to be. Mollie changed everything. From the second you walk in, you'll understand exactly what I'm talking about. She is one of the most incredible humans I've met, with a very special, elite gift and a beautiful energy. She healed my issue when I truly didn't think it could be done. I want the world to know how incredible Mollie is. I'm so thankful for you, Mollie--thank you for truly healing me. All the love, AJ read more

Love this place! Great lymphatic massage in downtown Hoboken. Definitely referring friends!

Life Stage was very welcoming & immediately put me at ease. Alexa is the absolute best!! She was patient, attentive and helped me relax. I highly recommend her... and I rarely leave reviews. read more

Went during my first pregnancy and now again for my second. The new location is beautiful and the service is outstanding!

I just left my most recent massage at Lifestage with Catherine (who is the best btw) and had to leave a review because their new space is next level! The location is great and easily accessible. But the best part is the stunning and thoughtful interior! They've create a new space that is super modern yet comfortable with luxury self-love vibes. I've always loved my massages at Lifestage for their technical expertise, but the old space was lacking that real "sanctuary" R&R feeling that this new space now delivers in spades! Kudos and congrats to Mollie and her entire team...it's been a long time coming but wow, truly worth the wait! Can't wait to get back in for another treatment soon! (Next time I'll grab more photos too) read more

Julie is an absolute rockstar at targeting the areas of pain that this pregnant mama has been feeling. She was the highlight of my first pregnancy and now with my second, there was no way I wasn't going to come back to her! Absolutely recommend splurging on yourself or someone you love because it is worth every minute! read more

I had a very nice prenatal massage at 24 weeks pregnant. I was very comfortable and the massage therapist had all appropriate cushions for my best positioning. They are using a pop up venue right now as their place is under construction, but it was still a nice experience. I do think it is costly and I would go regularly if the price was lower. I also think there should be a discount for not being at the main location. Both those thoughts aside, I would still recommend it if those points don't bother you as I wasn't too bothered by it. read more

Wonderful first experience at Life Stage Massage! From booking my appointment, to my 75 minute treatment, I was treated like gold. My therapist Mollie was amazing! I booked online for my boyfriend and I to have a peppermint foot scrub treatment w/reflexology each for same day with Adia Watts. It was an add-on only though I was told when I called to make sure it was ok. Not sure why their website allowed me to schedule just that without a massage? They didn't have any massage time open for same day so I cancelled. I got a call a few hours later and the receptionist said they had an opening for two now due to a cancellation. I appreciate her calling me to let me know. I told her we will take the appointment. We arrived early but no one was at the front desk or anywhere to be found. We sat on the couch in waiting area for about 15min before we were acknowledged by anyone (or seen anyone). A couple ladies checked out while we sat waiting. They were all given the complimentary bath salts they had nearby. There was complimentary tea and water next to us too. I appreciate that. Yelp check in gets you a complimentary satin lavender eye pillow. I appreciate that too. I like the quality of the pillow. The receptionist showed up about 20min after we arrived. She checked us in and had us fill out forms on a tablet while we waited for the rooms to be ready. They both apologized for our wait and that we weren't checked-in or acknowledged. They don't offer couples massages. On the phone she said we could do the foot soak together though. (Which we didn't end up doing?). There seemed to be a lot of confusion since we were added short-notice. Their confusion made me confused. $95 for a 30min massage is a bit steep. The foot scrub w/reflexology is $30 and it's only 10min she said. They have you take your shoes off and wear their shoes. They then took us back to two separate rooms. My boyfriends massage therapist checked in with him to make sure the temp of bed (they are warmed) and room were comfortable and she told him after he had a lot of tension in his legs. My massage therapist gave no feedback. She didn't ask if I was comfortable either (I was, but it's nice to ask). The rooms were nice and clean. Come check out time, they didn't offer us any of bath salts or tell us about tge. :( He said a lot of time was spent prepping that he was comfortable and he would've liked more massage time. He thinks it was cut a little short from that. My therapist asked a few questions about tension/pain anywhere and where i would like the massage prior to starting. I did back, shoulders, and legs. Overall, the massages were good; short for the cost. We won't be returning. We like couples massages/services. read more

Catherine has a TRUE gift and is incredibly skilled at what she does. A massage with her is honestly like experiencing ART: which may sound ridiculous, but you'll understand when you get one! I've had a LOT of massages and am always looking for someone great. I no longer go anywhere else (or have anyone else) give me massages except for her! Do not hesitate to book with her and have an incredibly relaxing, and stress-relieving experience. Thank you, Catherine! So grateful for your amazingness! read more

I first found this place when searching for prenatal specialized massages for my wife. Since then she has gone back several times to include post natal and regular massages. She has loved the place has has left feeling refreshed every single time. Even Formerly known as women's health, I grew envious of her renewed energy so I booked an appointment my self. The masseuses are truly amazing and patient. Of the 5-6 times I've personally returned, they have been thorough with their work, not rushing any massages. My last masseuse Lauren did an amazing sports massage, getting rid of probably 6 knots. The establishment itself is cozy, with around 3 rooms. It is very clean and coffee, tea, and snacks are available. Honestly I believe this is the best massage place within Hoboken / JC. I only come here now when I want a great massage. read more

Love this massage place - great prenatal massages! Always feel so amazing after getting massages here. Catherine works magic!

I'll definitely be back and look forward to more package specials to buy multiple massages. read more

This place has been my safe place to feel relaxed during this pandemic with my first pregnancy. I became pregnant without any knowledge and the discomfort I experienced was something I wasn't ready for. I've always been to massage places before pregnancy. Their expertise in propping a preggo belly and their knowledge of pregnant bodies made me feel safe. Plus you can actually lie down on your belly!! I am due in 4 weeks and I hoping to go there every week until I pop! read more
