Okay not sure how I didn't know about this place for 6 years... but such a good hour massage for less than $60 AND it's on classpass for 28 credits. My hair was a tangled mess but this is the best scalp massage I've ever gotten. Definitely a no frills kind of place but probably the best massage in town. read more

Despite living in Hoboken for nearly two decades, this was my first visit to Moonlight Spa. I've gotten massages at several other places in the square mile, but none were ever quite this affordable. Moonlight is a no-frills establishment. They don't have you fill out a health questionnaire when you arrive. There's no choice of scented oils or aromatherapy in the room. It's not fancy or especially inviting inside. The sheets and blankets on the massage tables are worn. They move very fast to get you in and out. That being said, my $55 hour massage was great , much better than the $200 massage I got at SoJo last year. I was able to make an appointment for myself and my husband a day prior - it was a weekday, so I figured they'd have availability. I wasn't expecting them to have a room for couples, but when we arrived, they brought us right to a room with dual massage tables. We were a little early, so they got started with us early - very efficient. The hot stones felt great on my back. The reason I'm knocking them a star is the noise level. We heard a lot of background noise: the spa's phone ringing, employees talking and moving about. They did have relaxing music playing in the room, but it didn't completely tune out the noise outside the curtain. It didn't take away from my massage experience, though. My expectations for this establishment were met. If you just want to feel good without breaking the bank and are OK without all the pomp and circumstance, this is your place. read more

The goal is to feel great after and this is the place that achieves it. There are times where a high end place doesn't give you results. Feeling sore the next day from deep tissue massage gave me better range of movement. read more

Very professional business that has a decent quality massage, but could definitely use improvement! I would recommend more targeted massages or asking the client what she wants to focus on. read more

I've heard so much about Moonlight Spa while living in Hoboken and Jersey City Heights, and wow I get it. $50 for one of the most relaxing hour-long massages ever. Truly so so memorable and so good, I can't wait to be back. This place is very no frills - the facility is very barebones and simple, it's not an overly decorated or renovated place, but I don't mind it since the massage is so good for a solid price. Highly recommend if you're in it for the quality of massage, not necessarily the environment you're in. read more

Mia was amazing! I will definitely be coming back :) bring cash for your massage. I came with my friend and it was a fun girl's day

I loved that they took me last minute. I was at work and had a break and needed a quick massage ...I work out a lot so I had someone who did a great job price is affordable for the time. Only thing I can know is it was a little offputting that they are forceful with how much to tip I'll probably be back if it was an urgent need, but otherwise I'll just stick to my normal place by my house read more

I've been coming to this massage parlor regularly, and to be fair, the massages themselves are excellent. The therapists are skilled and professional -- I've never had a single complaint about the actual service. I usually tip well, about 20% -- so for a $50 massage, I typically give a $10 tip, out of appreciation. However, my most recent visit left me genuinely upset. I was short on cash and only had $8 for the tip, so I gave that to the masseuse and let her know I was $2 short but would make it up on my next visit. She was understanding and said okay. But when I went to the front desk to pay and asked for a stamp on my loyalty card (they have a system where after 10 massages, you get one free), the man at the counter spoke to the masseuse in a language I didn't understand. Then he told me they only stamp the card for customers who tip 20%. I explained the situation and reminded him that I always tip properly, and this was just a one-time thing. Eventually, he did stamp the card -- but he made his disappointment very clear with head shakes, sighs, and dismissive body language. It was uncomfortable and, frankly, embarrassing in front of other clients. I was very close to refusing the stamp just to maintain my dignity, but I didn't want to create a scene -- unlike him. What could have been handled with simple professionalism and empathy instead left me feeling disrespected and unappreciated as a loyal customer. Based on the massage alone, I would have gladly given five stars. But customer service matters too -- and this experience was a letdown I can't ignore. read more

I asked for an hour they said ok and then 20 min into my massage they said that they can only do 30 min and I have 5 minutes left?? I needed a massage so bad the lady was nice and they apologized but my back is all messed up so it sucked read more

Was in NYC and Jersey for a family celebration. We flew in from various states and countries and needed to get a good massage -- a quick one during our busy schedule. Found this gem and they took all five of us with ease. We ubered from our hotel and it is located in a beautiful spot where you can walk afterwards and get some coffee, a meal, or just hangout. The ladies did an amazing job and we wished we had time for 2 hour massages. Hopefully next time...highly recommend--especially for those who've travelled from afar, or simply some relax time! read more

The older lady at the front desk is incredibly rude, and the massages vary wildly in quality. The massages were good the first few times I went, then I was given someone who was rough, frequently touched my spine when I asked them not to, and kept trying to talk to me. A lot of the masseuses will also try to talk to you if you speak Chinese, which is not relaxing. Anyway, the last time I went, I arrived two minutes late. After confirming I spoke Chinese, the lady at the front desk started yelling and cursing at me in Chinese for not coming exactly on time and not answering my phone two minutes earlier. Her exact words were "you wouldn't even pick up the phone if you were beaten to death."It was my bad for not hearing my phone vibrate, but I had already confirmed via phone thirty minutes prior, when she called me to confirm (why do we need to confirm so many times anyway?). She proceeded to yell at me in front of customers, the person I came with, and the workers. She yelled at me for not realizing it was the busiest time of the day, so she no longer had spots. It's fine that she gave away my spot since I waslate, but it was shocking for her to be that upset when I was only two minutes late. She then made us wait around for a few minutes before we just awkwardly left. This same lady also previously took $5 from me, either purposefully or by mistake. I wanted to tip $15 on a $50 massage and gave $80, expecting $15 back. I told her I wanted to tip $15, she confirmed that the tip was $15, and then only gave me back $10. I didn't make a big deal, since I thought it was an honest mistake. Now I am seeing it in a new light. read more

As soon as you walk in you feel welcome. She Asked if I had an appt and they said no worries, I waited 10 minutes. She took me in a little room for one person and it was very sanitary. I didn't get the name of the masseuse but she asked if I wanted medium or hard. I felt like she was targeting the spots in my shoulders and neck just as I requested. Great atmosphere and glad they didn't talk during my massage. $50 cash for 60 minutes $53 card for 60 minutes read more

I had a wonderful experience with my massage, for which I had a gift card. After presenting it at the front desk I scanned the QR code to provide a tip as I was walking out. The front desk manager literally stopped me and said she had to see me give the tip. I was so confused. She wouldn't let me leave until I made the Venmo payment and was watching over my shoulder as I did it. It made me really uncomfortable even though obviously I was happy to do that especially since it was a gift card payment. It really took away from the relaxing vibe I had just had. Has anyone else experienced this? read more

Another great experience, I called early morning on a Sunday and was able to get a same day evening appointment. The massage was great and I always feel like they do a great job consistently. My usual girl Maggie left but Ivy has been just as great. The hot stones feel great as is the hot towel. No frills, just a solid massage. I also love that they have a a punch card, my massage was 1hr for free since I have been 10x. Huge win! Highly recommend. read more

The mix of full body & reflexology is the absolute best! Your legs feel so relaxed and lighter after!

Not lying I visit this place weekly!!! The massage price can literally not be beat and it's always easy to make an appt (or even walk in if they're not busy). All masseuses are talented but K is my absolute favorite (sorry I can't share her full name, I need her to be available LOL). All massages come with hot stones and a warm towel. When you gather 10 massages, you get one free! Highly recommend moonlight! read more

I had a great experience here! I called on a Monday morning before they were open and they gave me a call back right when they opened. I was able to make an appointment for that evening. Found this place on TikTok and was not disappointed! Called a few days in advance to make a reservation and it was quick and easy. When I arrived I was taken care of right away. So, my spouse and I had a great massage, I have been going here for some time now, but, the front desk is saying that the tip have to be 20% for a two person massage. He said that next time if we could make it right? I did at the same Now, my issue is, when did tipping become something that people have to do? Hence, I already tipped the girls 15% each. It seems as thought these workers are being paid based on tips? The company is responsible for payment of their employees and not the customers. I hope that other customers do not experience this. read more

Ok if you slept wrong and need a quick fix but not for people with actual muscular issues or pain. Could tell my masseuse was not properly trained and didn't listen to what I was asking her to do. I was also choking on the tissue paper in the headrest. Giving 2 stars because the foot massage at the end was decent. read more

Best massage in Hoboken - hands down. It's a proper authentic massage . I visit monthly

came here after my friend recommended it to me after she had gotten a massage here the week before. for 60 minutes you get a full body for $50, i said "sign me up!" parking was easy to find (weirdly) on a sunday evening but i can see that it can definitely be difficult. when you come in, they take you to the room where they leave for you to get undressed (it's up to you if you want to be completely naked or leave your undergarments on). once you've taken your clothes off, they come back in and start the time from there. they really dig deep which is good and ask you if it's the right amount of pressure or not. they go head to toe, rub you with hot rocks and towel too which was nice. definitely a 10/10 experience ! they even have a punch card which is a great incentive to come back for more hahah (if you pay cash it's exactly $50 but if you use card, know that you'll be paying a fee!) read more

Amazing massage ! Loved it! I will be back for sure! The one place that I asked to make sure to massage my toes with my foot massage and they actually listened! I go for foot massage all the time they do more rubbing the skin on calves than massaging feet and they never touch the toes! She did it and I almost fell asleep! I enjoyed it so much I added a body massage and boy did that delight! read more

Nice except for a bit of bad breath. Worth what I paid. Good thing to do on a rainy day and relieved my neck and shoulder pain.

I got the two hour special with Mina I believe her name was? It was great and I enjoyed every minute of it. The massage technician kept asking me if the pressure was good or not. I appreciated that a lot. Will be coming back in a few days. Thank you! read more

This place is such a hidden gem. We made a same day appointment for a full body massage. It was incredible. $50 for a 60 min full body massage is unheard of around here.. & for it to be a really good one is amazing! The place is really clean and sanitary. The beds are comfortable and they constantly checked in to make sure I was okay and comfortable. They used hot stones which was included. The women who work here are so thorough and great. I will definitely be back to this place. read more

Dropped in on a Sunday before noon to make an appointment for later that day for two people and luckily, they had availability. Our appointment was at 3:30. We arrived about 10 minutes early, and the receptionist (same person who took our appointment) didn't even address us. He was too busy scheduling other appointments, or calling other people who had appointments that day - telling them they were running 15 minutes behind. At that point, it was safe to assume that our appointment would also be behind, even though he never told us. A one hour massage will be $45 (this is the cash price. Credit card is about $48). The massage includes hot stones, which they don't warn you when they're about to put them on your back, so it was a bit of a shock. After adjusting, it felt nice. There were a few times where my masseuse (I think it was Coco) was going HAM on my spine. I had to tell her to lighten up, which she did. But then she went way too light when she was doing my neck and shoulders -so much so that it just felt like she was lightly brushing them. After I told her to apply more pressure, it was fine from then on. Because it's a pretty good deal and conveniently located, I would give them another try, but I would probably request a different masseuse next time. Tip - they have a stamp card where you visit 10 times and get the 11th for free. read more

Well this spa came out as a pleasant surprise! Of course, the prices were elusive and the major reason for the visit. Located in the prime Washington Street, it's a small facility. We had an appointment, reached 10mins early and we're in for the massage in 5mins. The massage was an invigorating one. I was amazed at the number of locks and nerves the masseuse was able to locate and open up. The hot stone treatment was short but an amazing addition to the usual swedish part. All stars for the clean and quiet setting, great prices, great massages and a pleasant and accommodating experience. Would definitely be back again soon! read more

I'm not gonna waste too much time writing in detail because it's just not worth it! Just got a foot massage and it was pretty good. However giving the business a one star as they were arguing with me about the their tip policy. They tried to enforce a $10 tip policy or more on their $35 service stating that their people can't take anyone else within that hour. Well no duh, why would they massage multiple people at the same time within the hour. I have been to multiple asian massages in the city and never heard or been harassed about a ridiculous tip policy that tries to rip you off! To the owner of this establishment, this is unlawful business practice and just plain greedy! Ans because of this, you just lost a potential regular customer. read more

Great massages for an affordable price (~$60 for an hour massage + tip).
