I'm reluctant to let the masses know how much I treasure this find of a venue. The scheduling is easy, the pricing is awesome, the people are polite and punctual, and the massages are great. I am a deep-tissue massage person - I do not like a massage that doesn't work out the knots and make a change worthy of the time and money invested in getting a massage. I actually do not get the point of most other types of massages. This place has, twice in a row, with two separate masseuses, offered great deep-tissue massages. From the street, the first time you approach, you wonder what you're headed into. It's a store-front location without decent lighting, a bit dingy-looking, without customary store signage, and advising twice on the door that it's a "legitimate" massage parlor, which it is. Sometimes signage like that freaks me out because I start thinking they .."doth protest too much", but it's all on the up and up and the place is clean inside. I've been here 2 other times and it went so well! However this time, I got a practitioner who I can assume was not as knowledgeable in cupping as the prior people I've had. I ended up having to go to urgent care for one of the cupping marks. I'm used to soreness and redness, but what ended up happening was punctured blistering. I had multiple blisters on a cup mark that were oozing and Urgent care told me what I had was not normal and actually a result of misuse of the cups as it caused a first to second degree burn ): While I understand accidents happen, this wasn't acceptable and very negligent. My massage experiences here prior to that were wonderful, but I would recommend being weary of the cupping services here. read more

This is a neighborhood gem. Lucy the owner is the sweetest woman and her place always is clean and has fresh sheets and covers on the beds and pillows. The prices cannot be beat and I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. read more

I had a stiff neck for four days, nothing helped. I called Massage Zen and made a 30 minute appointment for a neck, shoulder and back massage. I thought it would only be a chair massage. It was a full upper body massage with oil, hot rocks and a heated towel. I loved it! My neck is so much better. I can't wait to return! No frills type of massage business. Easy to make an appointment and staff is polite. Got a couples massage and they worked on the knots where they needed to. We got More of a deep tissue rather than Swedish but no complaints here. Definitely would recommend and revisit soon. read more

I have such a bad back & picked this place for a back massage when I found them online. The massage was AMAZING!! How that tiny woman did what she did is beyond me but I LOVED it.. The ONLY negative thing is the smell inside the place; it smelled like fish or food instead of Lavender or other soothing smells inside spas. If they improved the odor of the air in there I would go once a week. read more

My gf and I went on a Monday for a massage here after trying to go to Sojo. For some reason everywhere was packed and most places were fully booked. Let's just say we are glad that we missed out on the commercial spas and was able to come here and book a 90 mins full body massage. It was amazing, maybe the best massage I've ever received. I had a few massages here and they were great. However, the last one was done by a different lady from the ones usually there and she seemed angry to be doing the massage. She did painful things the other ladies did not do and was so rough I was swollen and hurt afterwards. I will not return as this person made me feel very uncomfortable. I went for a 30 minute back and 30 minute foot massage. The back massage was wonderful - she knew exactly where to find the knots and used just the right amount of pressure. Like, truly wonderful, intuitive massage. The foot massage was relaxing, but too soft. I should have spoken up, however, so I'm not taking away stars for that. She still worked some interesting points that aren't often part of most foot massages, so I still enjoyed it. Highly recommend! read more

I came in for a one hour foot massage. The lady was busy with another client and got a bucket of water to soak my feet and turned on the 1 hour timer. She came back after 20 minutes to check on my when the client she was with left. I ended up getting a soft 40 minute foot massage that felt like a massage at a nail salon with no special strength. I wish I had a better experience because I love foot massages due to standing on my feet all the time for work. read more
