All I can say is wow talk about some relief from Back Pain!! I was a little apprehensive to go since I've been going to a place across the street which just wasn't doing it for me. I basically walked in and was fortunate enough to have Sophia as my massage therapist I did one hour foot and one hour back and I told her not to hold back on pressure. Well she's amazing absolutely knew what she was doing and how to relieve back pain and she gives one heck of a foot massage as well. This is THE BEST massage spot in the area. It's $35 for a 1hr full body massage. Besides the great price, they were able to accommodate myself and a friend on really short notice! I called and was given a walk-in time that was just 30 minutes later. The massages are extremely thorough and relaxing. They focus on the areas you ask for, and even include hot stones and towels! The oil and lotion is great, but nobody wants to be a slippery mess after a massage. The location is on the 2nd floor (not the most visible from the street), so make sure to use Yelp for the exact location and street park! It's quiet, noticeably clean, and the employees were very professional. Their prices have increased to $30/hr for foot and $35/hr for body but seriously still a steal and SO worth it. The massage is one of the best I've ever received, my knots are literally all out and the vibe is super relaxing (not like the hole in the walls you find in Chinatown). This is not the first time Ive been to massages, Ive been to several ones around this area including Shanti etc. but, THIS PLACE is it!! I finally found my go-to place. My friend and I called and made reservation at 4 for two people on Saturday. The atmosphere is so warm and relaxing, the owner was very friendly and accommodating. The masseuses knew exactly what they were doing, instead of just putting pressure, they knew where to push and massage. When they massage your head and neck ( limp area), its heavenly and something we all need to relieve stress! They stretched me and I felt like a new person. My friend Loved it as well. I got the full massage for $50. The body massage was good but foot massage was ok. In overall, decent. When I gave a tip for my masseuse, she didn't seem happy and said something to the manager. And the manager said that I was supposed to tip her at least $20. I was not just happy for the fact that the amount of tip is demanded. Also, if I was very happy with her, I surely could give $20 but it was not. I understand their price is reasonable and relatively lower than NY area but nevertheless, they should not push the clients for the certain amount of tip. read more

I'd a couple of hours to kill today in Palisades Park and called this place on an impulse. It's not much to look at and felt a little musty and I was thinking of making a graceful exit when a smiling young woman welcomed me. I couldn't say that I'd changed my mind and asked for an hour long massage. 5 minutes later, I was in the room undressing. Sophia came in promptly, had me lie down and started after asking me a simple "Soft or hard?" Another 5 minutes later, I realized that she knew what she was doing and told her that I would actually like a 90 minute massage. I get muscle aches, particularly in the neck and back and this really helped. The fact that there's a bit of a language barrier didn't stand in the way of her knowing instinctively when to let up on the pressure. Highly recommend it! read more

Husband came in for back massage and I got 1 hour foot reflexology. Owners are Korean-Chinese and seem to be super sweet and nice. We frequently come up to fort lee area for a quick massage and dinner and this place seems to be the cleanest that we've been to. We've really liked Shanti Reflexology, but the quality of massage and the atmosphere was far better here. I really like deep pressure and my masseuse was fantastic! They are also cheaper by $5-$10 compared to their competitors. Maybe a Grand Opening thing. Please be sure to tip well since the cost is super affordable. Would definitely be coming back soon! I got a 60 min full body massage and a 30 minute foot massage. This massage was quite different from ones I've had before (mostly Chinese tuina places or super high end Swedish types). I haven't had a massage in a year or so. I gave no direction or background. Jin (male masseuse) hurt me bad--every knot was obliterated until I called uncle. It was brisk, efficient and almost every muscle of my body was covered. Minus my upper legs--a stark difference from other places that went ALL the way up there. I would have actually appreciated more leg work as I've been at the gym quite often recently and my hamstrings are tight. There was lots of lower back, buttock and hip work which is a place I hold tension. My shoulders and neck were totally knotty and although I couldn't handle a lot of it this time I expect the next time I will be able to take more. I was covered nearly the entire time and the knots seemed to be priority over the oil or the feel-good aspect of the massage. They used hot stones which was a surprise and very welcome. They even gave me a stomach massage which was new and kinda hurt but very much appreciated. Maybe I will digest a bit better today. I was happy I hadn't eaten beforehand. I felt like a piece of meat that had been tenderized especially after the arm massage. If you're looking for loosen stiff or achy muscles, or possibly target painful areas, this place covered muscles that had never been touched before. Every space between my spine, every part of my finger. Truly a very thorough massage. I'm sure you can give more direction. If you're looking for zen, possibly a nap and no pain, choose another place, or perhaps tell them beforehand. 100% worth the $50 plus tip. I love this place. I highly recommend. The foot massage prices are one of the cheapest in town and they give you a mini shoulder rub at the end, which is a nice touch. I got a full body once and absolutely loved that too. I told the woman (her name was Sophia) where my trouble spots were and she specifically focused on those spots. I liked that better than her massaging places that don't really hurt for me. The owner is super nice too and his foot massages are great. My mom also comes here frequently and she likes them too. It is a smaller place, so they might not be always available, so make sure you call. But, they are pretty accomodating. read more

Just finished getting my first massage at Relaxing Zone Spa. This was my first time having a full body massage and I was very excited. I chose the 1 hour Body and 30 min foot massage for $50. The full body massage was lovely and my masseuse was very attentive and kind . The foot massage was just ok. I work on my feet all day and was looking for something a little more in depth. Regardless, I had a great time until I went to pay. The price was $50 for the massage and I gave my masseuse $15 While I was paying, my masseuse walked over, yelled something in Korean to the owner, threw my tip on counter, and walked away. This all happened in the main area in front of the other customers, in the main entryway. I was immediately uncomfortable and put off from this place. The manager basically said, for the 90 min massage, I was expected to tip her $20. I did not know this. $15 on $50 is 20 percent tip, which is standard everywhere and I genuinely didn't realize things were different a massage parlor. However, I've never been to a place where tip is not just expected but rudely demanded. Was planning on bringing a few friends on Monday for my best friends birthday but honestly, I don't even know if I want to come back. This was a very awkward and upsetting end to otherwise pleasant massage. read more

Came here yesterday for the first time to treat myself to a massage for my birthday. It sucked. Some of the highlights: cold, wet towel used to wipe off the oil/lotion. Workers talking too loud, opposite of a "relaxing zone". My masseuse's breath stank despite the fact that he was loudly chewing gum. Also, his technique was amateur at best, the whole time I was thinking "is this a joke"? Honestly thought someone was playing a trick on me & was going to pop out & explain I was on a hidden camera show or something & just wanted to see my reaction, it was that bad. Worst massage I've ever received & that's no shade, just a simple fact. But, despite all of that, I was still going to tip, say nothing, go about my day & just never come back. Well, I'm going to do all of those things except something happened that has caused me to say something. I pay the guy and add a 20% tip. Mind you, I was even thoughtful enough to ask if they preferred cash or card. He said cash. He looks at my money like it's got bugs crawling all over it. I'm confused so I ask if I didn't give enough. Maybe I handed him the wrong amount, it happens. He said "people usually give $20 tip". That is NOT what I was expecting to come out of his mouth. That should never come out of anyone's mouth. I said "I gave you 20%, that's not enough?" I guess I made him feel uncomfortable (ironic, right?) because he just ignored me & waved his hand like "nevermind". Like an idiot, I reached in my bag & have him the last $5 I had. Like I said, it was my birthday & I don't want problems. He was suddenly all smiles & thanking me. I ignored him & headed out the door. He actually tried to give me a punch card & a coupon for my next visit. I looked at both of those just like he had looked at my money & told him no thanks, I will NEVER be back.
