1.) The masseuse automatically gives you a deep tissue massage, painful for some, you have to speak up during the massage, as the masseuse never asks the type of massage you want. 2.) Make sure you stand to the side or the door will hit you. I told the attendant that my wife and I would like a 30 minute foot massage. Of we go. The rooms are separated by a thin curtain or bed sheet. You certainly hear everything. While the place had some soft background music to make you feel comfortable. I was very tense. Did not know what to expect. I have had many massages, but these low price places; never. As I am lying there, the overhead light fixture in the space to my left just fell down with a BOOM. One of the ladies was adjusting the light cover when this happen. OK, what next. The tech did a good job. The foot massage was very firm to very hard in pressure to the point of pain, but I knew the drill. Just tell the tech. I did feel good and relax afterwords. They take CC, but add 3% to bill. I have had mixed experiences here. I came once after a conference and got an excellent massage focussing on my legs and feet and recently came here hoping to replicate. I had requested when I booked that I wanted focus on legs and feet but perhaps I should have been clearer to the masseuse as she never actually touched my feet and barely touched my legs during my 30 minute massage. What concerned me and is the reason for my low star rating though was a gentleman next to me who was having a long massage and alternating snoring/taking on his phone (not the spas fault). I hear the clink of the hot stones then all of a sudden I hear him exclaim "OW! You've burnt me!". His masseuse then comes into my booth says something in Chinese and her and my masseuse switch places and I hear a flurry of apologies to man next door. Linda was my masseuse, and I must say she was amazing. As many mentioned, it's not a luxury spa, but it is clean and well maintained. The workers don't speak much English, but they know enough to book you for an appointment. They are very sweet. I still tipped $10 on what was supposed to be. 100 minute massage for $70 but was less time bc I needed to leave for an emergency at home. When the massage therapist saw I was ripping $10 she picked up the "tips are greatly appreciated" handwritten card and started furiously tapping it in my face. When I told her, yes, I was tipping her $10 she threw a tantrum that was fit for a toddler. I've already called my back to dispute the tip. They were very accommodating of a two person massage appointment made for the same day which was nice. BUT the massage experience was way too deep tissue for my taste. I mentioned it was too rough and she apologized. For about 3 mins she was not as intense...but went back at it in full force. I like my massages medium pressure. She apologized twice. Two days later and my upper back still has lingering pain. My bf said the same thing about it being too intense but not as in pain as I am.
