You never know until you try. I suffer from TMJ and migraines. After 4 visits at Acuworx, I feel like a whole new person. I had some congestion, and acupuncture cleared that up. I hadn't had a full night of sleep in over a week because of congestion, and I was as able to get a full night of rest. Normally I am a light sleeper, I slept through my downstairs neighbors smoke alarm (steam from their shower set it off). My running and recovery has also improved. Best part is, on a rainy day where I normally expect a migraine attack, I was perfectly fine. They also take my insurance. So grateful I gave acupuncture a shot at Acuworx. The devorative rose quartz crystals that are placed around are said to have emotional as well as physical healing powers. Rooms are exremely clean and spacious with large windows that are draped to provide privacy but also letting enough nature's light for that peaceful relaxation. The owner, Panos is a charming, experienced and passionate healer. His unbridled desire to educate and empower his clients is exceptional. Located in Downtown Jersey City inside the newly renovated Vito A. Lofts. From the entrance to the building is a long corridor displaying local artist work to the elevator next to a large mirror. I have found success using acupuncture to treat a complex of stomach conditions. Having moved to Jersey City about a year ago, I didn't know where to find a new practitioner so I put it off. After a flare-up of my stomach problems started a couple of months ago, my spouse made me an appointment with Dr. Chang here at Acuworx. I was blown away with how effective that treatment was and have returned for additional treatments both to relieve my digestive symptoms and muscle tension, as well as pre- and post- surgery support. In particular, the treatment I had after a recent surgery was transcendent. I felt days further on in my recovery after just an hour on the table. The facility is clean, spacious, and convenient. After months of physical therapy on my shoulder, I decided to look for additional treatment. All my sessions have been with Panos, who has been extremely helpful and informative. He gave me great insight on the process and walked me through each and every step along the way. He uses small needles which you barely feel and depending on which area you are treating the locations may change. In addition to acupuncture they also offer other treatment such as cupping and muscle stim. Safe to say I've felt an improvement after each visit. Came here for a book reading event after hours by Elizabeth Barry. Great experience overall. Nice space, super relaxing, very clean. 5 treatment rooms. Convenient because the owner/lead practitioner was there, and he did ear seeds for us all! They're looking to do more events in the space related to overall wellness. This particular one fo used on Elizabeth's book, we did a mediation and breathing exercise as a group, and learned a little bit more about acupuncture as well as some anecdotes about Chinese medicine.
