Life Line Screening in my opinion is a scam I waited over three weeks for results for tests that I had done half of my tests didn't come with my results I called them they couldn't find my results and said that I could reschedule and they would do them over because they could not find them. well that's an inconvenience since I waited over 3 1/2 hours for the first test. my appointment was for 1 PM they called me and left me a message and said that they had to move my appointment up to 4 PM OK that was nothing I could control. I went for my appointment I watched everybody come in behind me and were called in. I sat there and I waited while everyone else got called and I didn't. I was the last person to leave they were folding down all of their partitions and everything by the time I exited the final test. Then I wait for my results ,half of my results were missing. I called and spoke To an extremely rude customer service person that told me what do you want me to do about it it's not my fault, now that's some good customer service. If she worked in our company she would've been fired. This is a scam. I hope one day they get caught scamming people in this way. They were extremely Unprofessional and pathetically on organized. I lost my health coverage due to a divorce. I used Life Line Screening until I was able to get my own insurance. They led me to believe I had blockage with my arteries going back 9 years urging me to get tested by them again that I could be in danger! I recently had an ultrasound done ordered by my doctor for my carotid arteries and both sides were clear, no plaque!! They put a lot of undue stress on me which I think is terrible. I scheduled an appointment for this morning, arrived on time and fasted as instructed. I was told that due to the fact that they were short-staffed the process would take 2 hours! I told him I didn't have 2 hours. That's ridiculous and they bill you before the actual appointment! An older woman was waiting and said that today was her rescheduled appointment from a previous one at another location where she was told a 3 hour wait since their help was stuck in traffic. Seriously? Do you think our time is not valuable? I think you need to hire more staff. read more

I was horrified to notice that Lifeline's ultrasound and tools being used on everyone's skin was not cleaned between people. I watched as they scanned my husbands legs, after listening to the blood flow, they just wiped the tool with a towel that was being used over and over again. The neck ultrasound was the same. Very unsanitary and nasty. I will NEVER do lifeline again. I wanted to do it for myself, but my immune system is compromised from auto immune and will NEVER let Lifeline touch me. I will deter anyone I know from doing these tests. What if someone has a skin disease? This is disgusting. Definitely not worth the money or the fear of contracting something contagious. read more

I was very disappointed in the time delay. They were running over two hours behind. They had no trouble making calls to confirm the appt. but couldn't take the time to call you and tell you they were understaffed and that you would have that kind of wait. I had scheduled the tests for my adult son after much convincing. He missed several hours work, not to mention the income. He was told to fast so he hadn't eaten all day. I got suspicious when my wife and I received identical requests in the mail. My wife's last "personalized" scan was in 2007 and the illustrated artery blockage said "you were here in 2007" indicating mild to moderate blockage. Next to it was an illustration showing significant blockage with the leading question "Are you HERE ?" (in caps) My illustration was exactly the same and done in 2015. I'll bet all solicitations show the same blockage. Then I read all the reviews and shredded the invitations. read more

Just got a call at work, they were calling because my boss had a screening done a year ago. They wanted him to come to their next clinic in our area. The girl on the phone was a real dingbat. She kept telling me that he had several red flags on his last screening that indicated he was at risk for heart attack or stroke. (isn't that a HIPPA violation?) Then she proceeded to tell me that they needed to ask some questions to sign him up for the clinic, and told me that she couldn't discuss anything in his record with me. I told her that I didn't ask her for information, and she seemed bothered by that. She kept pushing when I said I would give him a message to call back, like I was going to magically produce him for her to talk to. She must be very new on the job because she found it necessary to explain to me why she couldn't pronounce one of the words in the clinic location, and then didn't even leave a number for him to call back and register. He wasn't going to call anyway, but she's not going to get ANYONE to call back if she's not giving out the number! read more

My appointment was at 3:05. When I got there the parking lot was full. Inside the church basement was also full of people sitting with masks on. I went up to the table to check in and the person checking me in took her mask off, said whew I need to take this off. Checked me in without the mask on. She said it shouldn't be too long just wait in your car and I'll call you. After 1/2 hour I decided to leave because nobody was coming out or going in and the parking lot was still full. Tried to call to cancel and was kept on terminal hold. Finally was called about an hour and 15 minutes after my appointment. My take: very unprofessional, not Covid safe, just trying to pack as many people in as possible. Called the next day for my money back and was again kept on hold for quite awhile. She said someone would call me back in three days. Will be waiting to see if I actually am refunded. Never again. Wish I had done more research before getting involved in this. read more

FALSE TEST RESULTS.....The screening of my Carotid Artery Plaque not only showed "abnormal" but "SIGNIGICANT BUILD UP" wow did that ever scare me and my doctor. I was sent to the hospital for further test which came back NORMAL. The difference between the antiquated equipment of Life Line and the sophisticated up to date equipment of the hospital was AMAIZING. Lifeline has no reliable certificates for their employees as you see in medical institutions. Hmmm I wonder why! I found it impossible to communicate or receive a response from Life Line. read more

After the screening, I and everyone else, had an exit interview. The nurse practitioner asked if I had a Wellness visit scheduled, and I said I had one next week with my PCP and wanted to share the results with him. She said they may not be available that early, and did I want one today; it was free, she said. I was tired after the screening and she didn't tell me that Medicare would only pay for one, but that today's was free. I agreed and signed consent. Since I said I had one scheduled and she didn't tell me to cancel it because I would have to pay for that one, I felt as if I didn't receive informed consent. I went to the Wellness appointment next week and later received a bill for $300 plus dollars. I have appealed to Medicare after being turned down by Lifeline Screening to settle this issue with them. In a hotel breakout room they set up rudimentary plastic screens where patients being screened were visible to people walking through. I was solicited through an organization I respect to have this screening. I signed up for bone density and heart screenings. This was the traveling screening. The lines were so long that my husband left - said forget it even though we had had to prepay. I waited, but when I finally, after waiting for hours, got my turn, the bone density scanning machine was broken. They did not offer a refund - I could either wait until they returned to town or forget it. I wasted my money. It was horrible, horrible. Sad situation, took my mother for screening 11/8/18 at a cost of $209 plus travel, $18 in parking fees. She is 79 on fixed income so this is costly tests. We were told she get results in 2 weeks. She has now cancelled 3 doctor appointments as she wanted to take results to him. We've made at least 5 calls requesting what she paid for, results. It's always in the mail yet never comes. However they can bombard email and snail mail with advertising trying to get more business and cash for the very thing we paid for and never received. Guess it's just another scam. I have had this test every other year for the past couple years. I would come in wait 10 to 15 minutes go through a complete testing cycle in one shot took an hour. Here in mchenry the tests are being done individually. Wait for your test. The couple next to me are at almost 3 hours and the tests are not yet done. The person at the door who did the registration name was Ahmet. He was very rude to some of the older people who could not use the tablet. I also felt that handing out tablets to senior citizens may save you money but was not a good idea. Half of the people who were using the tablets were having a difficult time doing so. one man who was sitting by me took at least 45 min to complete the form. He walked to the front to tell Ahmet that he was having a problem working the tablet. Ahmet yelled at him and told him that it was user error and not the tablet. Just to give you an idea of his tone I was in the back of the room and heard this. There also was a room full of people waiting to use the tablets and only three were available. One man who was finished and on his way out noticed an older woman waiting. He asked her if she had been taken care of because he stated that she was there before him. She replied not yet so he started to walk toward the back to find someone to help her. Ahmet came running after him stating that he could not go back there and that he would handle the situation. His manner was very rude toward this man who was only trying to help. The rooms in the back were wide open and not private. When I walked back I was surprised to see how open and unprofessional it was. I left work early to make it there on time only to wait over an hour before I was called. I found the whole experience to be totally unprofessional. I would have walked out but then I would have lost my time and money. read more

I went to and paid for my Life Line Screening. At the end I was whisked over to a desk by some woman who asked me to sign some papers allowing her to bill Medicare for a wellness visit. I said I didn't want to because I had just had my annual wellness visit the week before and I didn't want it to be interfered with with Medicare. SHE ASSURED ME IT WOULDN'T!!! Well, when my medicare statement came, Life Line was reimbursed for my Annual Wellness examine (WHICH I DIDN'T HAVE), and my Real Doctor was denied payment! I will never trust this company again. I was pleased with the actual tests that I had already paid for, but again, Very Displeased with this outcome!!!! read more

Total Scam!!I was told we could pay the 149.00 in cash, or monthly no interest payments of 19.95. We discovered that they said we signed up for a membership that charges monthly until you cancel. I did have terrible wait at first location. Left and rescheduled at a later date at another local location and was treated and out within the hr. Our friend went last year and They did in fact find a problem with his heart. He will be having bypass surgery within the year. I ended up cancelling my appointment after getting the feeling that things did not seem right about this company. First, when you call to make an appointment, they try to sell you a BUNCH of extra tests and services. Then they tell you that you can make payments, but if you agree to that, they end up enrolling you in a "gold" program for $19.95 per month that DOESN'T STOP after you have paid for your services, unless you call to cancel. (They don't tell you that on the phone though). After reading the "fine print" and feeling like I was misled, I decided to cancel my appointment and walk away from this company! read more

This is about the process and failure to have the tests, not the results. Scheduled my appointment 2 weeks ahead and paid ahead. Showed up at the correct site to find a sign that it was moved 15 minutes away. Drove there, was told 1 hour wait (even though I had my appointment and was still on time) AND they didn't have one of the tests I'd paid for available that day. Called Customer Service (very long wait) and was told can't refund for several days due to systems, so have to call back. Instead called my credit card company to have them get the refund for me. Very frustrating. Realize not earth shattering, just irritating and poor business practices. I look upon Life Line Screening as an inexpensive place to get a ultrasound for aneurysm. I been using this service every other year. Some of the test you receive at screening I believe are useless, but the aneurysm test did indicate a potential abdominal aneurysm which I am now pursuing with my doctor. read more
