    My wife signed up for this service and I went a long to keep marital bliss. She told me that we will be going to get medical screening to make sure we are healthy. Again, even thought i get an annual physical i wanted to keep wifey happy and went along. When I looked up the directions it showed that we were going to a Hotel????Ok I played along. Sure enough we go to a mid level hotel and follow the signs to the "waiting room" which was hotel chairs lined up in the hotel conference room with the administrator (very unpleasant) taking your name and asking medical questions in front of everyone. When your name is called you are walked to another conference room with cloth dividers that spit up the different tests you go to. When you walk through you see and hear people getting their tests and listening to the medical questions and answers given. Very Uncomfortable because of obvious privacy concerns. This is a an annual medical physical with the exception you are doing it in front of a bunch of strangers doing theirs. Ick I tried several times to reach the CEO David Bruggeman to relay this experience and his assistant said that he has received my messages and would call back. Well 4 calls 4 messages i guess this isn't on his radar, so I am putting this experience on your radar. If your privacy is of value to you DO NOT DO THIS SERVICE.

I had an appointment 1/17/17 at 10:30 am. I checked in at 10:35. The receptionist said that the appointment was at 10.15 and I was 30 minutes late. We went back and forth and I told her the voicemail said 10.30. She said there might be an 11 and another receptionist chimed in and said if she doesn't come between 10.45 and 11 you can have that appointment. I waited and went to the desk, it was 11.02 and someone walked in and checked in. I asked if I can still have the 11, she said that the appointment came and I can't. I asked why her previous statement did not apply and she remarked I didn't even have an appointment. Overall this was a very unnerving and unprofessional experience. If someone in their office makes an error they should own up to it instead of deflecting accountability. Hopefully Illinois Masonic will yield better experiences in the future.

BE SURE, however, to ask reception before you go back for your scan AND tell your technician you want the CD of your images ready when you leave the session. For some strange reason, this facility doesn't actually get that to the doctor who ordered your MRI. I've never heard of that.

I went here to get MRIs done on 3/31/17 and despite both me and my orthopaedic surgeon's office calling non-stop, e-mailing, contacting the office manger, regional rep, etc., I still have not gotten, nor has my doctor gotten, the report regarding my MRI's. I have contacted the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (https://www.idfpr.com/Admin/DPR/Complaint.asp) and I am in the process of contacting any/all relevant regulatory authorities in regard to this inadequate facility. I suggest that others do the same. This place should be shut down in my opinion. I will never go here again. In filling out the complaint form, I filed it against the business/facility (you enter the business name in the "Last name/business name section on the online form) and then select "Medical corporation under "profession." Here is what I wrote: This facility will not communicate with patient/customers post MRI. I have been contacting them via telephone and e-mail since my visit on March 31, 2017, to obtain the reports from a knee and hip MRI and have been unable to obtain them. If you view their ratings/comments on YELP (Advanced Medical Imaging Center) you will see that this is a systemic/ongoing problem and issue for this facility. My doctor's office was also UNABLE to obtain the MRIs/reports in order to review them with me at the time of my appointment 4/18/2017. This is medically dangerous and breaches the standard of care in that the date of my injury was 3/8/17 and I have no idea what the results of the MRI are due to the lack of care and customer service provided by this facility/health care corporation and its staff.

I advise anyone who does get a bill from Souma Diagnostics to look on your insurance portal where you can view claims for the dates specified in your bill (it won't register as Souma Diagnostics, it may come up as a doctor's name instead). Your insurer should indicate what insurance covered and what, if anything, is left for you to pay for each service. It should also specify that you shouldn't be charged over a certain amount for each service. In my case, I was over-billed almost $300 (with the signature "PAST DUE" stamp on my statement). That December 2018 statement was actually the first bill I received from Souma for services provided from November 2017 until March of 2018. I tried calling the number of the billing vendor (no answer). I called Souma directly and told them I couldn't get ahold of their billing service. Souma called the billing service and told me they had no trouble getting through so I hung up with Souma and called the vendor, who, surprise! actually answered. I explained some discrepancies in my bill according to the information on my insurance website. They did not disagree with me and I ended up paying what I was meant to pay instead of the inflated amount my statement showed. Don't let a shoddy billing service ruin your day! Contact Souma directly and tell them if they want to receive payment for services rendered, they need to find a more competent vendor to generate accurate statements.

Per my insurance company, I actually owe this amount of money but have called the billing department multiple times to pay and never get a call back. I must say, the ultrasound technicians are great; however, they don't deal with the money aspect of the company.
