She was also dressed in a mid drift shirt which her belly and belly button ring were exposed and at the table I caught her twiddling her long dangling belly button ring in nervousness multiple times. That's super gross We both order our food and the real confusing thing about this place is, in the middle of the restaurant there seems to be a self serve 'bar' kind of thing filled with jelly and hot sauces etc.. My friend needed a jelly and a butter for her toast so I just walked up and grabbed it. Within seconds some girl approached me and asked me what I was doing. I apologized and told her I assumed this was self serve because it LOOKS self serve. She told me it wasn't, I told her what I needed and I sat down. Confusing layout. I had ordered a matcha drink and it was good. I finished it. The server came by and asked if I liked it because she had made it herself and I said yes! And she goes 'wait? You don't like it? What's wrong with it? And then proceeded to explained how she changes the way she makes it so the matcha doesn't sink to the bottom. I drank it.,, it was good. I don't need a play by play. This is unprofessional as an interaction. I was uncomfortable. Ok girl. I just told you it was good. We're fine. Thank you. The food was FINE. You can tell the omelettes were made in some sort of mold and not on a grill by a person by hand, so seeing as empty as the restaurant was I was confused why it took so long to get 2 basic omelettes. My order was missing my hash browns but whatever. The food was good. I could have made this at home. In all honesty the service and the professionalism of the staff needs to be reevaluated. Avocado is also an option in lieu of a protein. I see no reason why one would not give The Nosh Cafe a try.

Every other week we were coming in to get a big fresh salad made for her and a wrap with bacon for me. Both were so filling and delicious and we loved our pattern. The last time we visited, however, they completely changed their menus - getting rid of all of their big salads and their wraps and sandwiches. Everything is a pizza now. Totally different vibe and we will likely not be back except to check and see if they have re-added the items which we were accustomed to. We have been to several Scheels and eaten in their Ginna's as well. We were saddened to hear that the menu changes were across all of their stores. We are hoping it is a temporary or seasonal change. If not, we will still shop at Scheels, but we will take our food dollars elsewhere.

This is the old location of Mariposa Cafe, which was there until the big fire in the Memorial Union in 2007. The food used local ingredients, and Engrained used a number of sustainability practices. When you arrive to Engrained, you first get a table (inside or outside) or booth (inside) by receiving a number. You then went to a display area that used to have actual meals on display. Now, you can see the menus and also images of each dish on a screen. You then head to a register where you can place the actual order and pay with cash, credit card, or Maroon & Gold dollars. That is where you give them your table/booth number. You then head to your table and on the way, you pick up any drink you wish (sodas, flavored waters, agua frescas) and then some truffle and sea salt popcorn (which recently replaced chips). Then, when your order is ready, someone will bring it to your table. Voila! Nice and systematic process. On my most recent visit yesterday, my friend and I each ordered an Engrained Burger, which includes a 6 oz local grass fed brisket burger with house made burger sauce, lettuce, tomato, shaved onion, American cheese, house pickle, bacon, and toasted brioche. The burger contains egg, soy, diary, and wheat with a dairy free option or gluten friendly option available. The dishes came with waffle fries. I tried my burger without the burger sauce and tomato. I also asked for some ketchup and mustard on the side. The burger was delicious! The fries were a nice complement to the burger. Other items on the menu included soup, salads, grill items, entrees (including tacos, pasta, salmon, and chickpeas), pizza, and dessert. I've had a number of these items over the years, and I'm generally very pleased. This is THE place on-campus to go for students, staff, and faculty right in the Memorial Union. I enjoy catching up with my staff colleagues here. The staff are great, and the food is always delicious! I look forward to returning again soon.

During less hot parts of the year, I would recommend sitting outside. There is a great view of the campus and any events that are occurring. I have came here numerous times and my all time favorite meal is the Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza, it is a good size for two or if you want to take leftovers. The menu does change atleast once a semester, so there is new things to try. The pricing is pretty affordable for the Tempe area. Only thing that I would not recommend here is the free chips. They are overcooked, powdery, and not worth it even though they are free.
