There are multiple different places to get drinks from which is nice as you can choose how long you would like to wait in a line. Drinks are not unreasonably priced and they were good as well. The ability to sit throughout the area, get up and dance, or just listen to music makes this a great spot to stay entertained for a while. We came when there was an event being put on by Zyn where they were giving out free drinks to nicotine users which was funny because why not get you hooked on nicotine AND alcohol. But seriously, there are typically food trucks and more things going on here but the Zyn trucks took up those spots which was a bit of a letdown but we're assuming that's just a one off event. Between a good band, decent drinks, and a good amount of seating options, this is a good spot to sit down with some friends and just vibe out for the night. We'd give it a recommendation if you're looking for something fun but not too much fun on a night on East 6th.

I'm not a big drinker these days, but one of my favorite things of my visit was my initial cocktail, the salted lime leaf gimlet, which is a must to me. Our first appetizer ended up being the highlight our meal: the savory cannoli filled with bluefin tuna and nduja. Absolutely perfect light but rich bite. Other favorites: the artichoke Caesar salad has great crunch and brined-mess from the artichoke, the caramel whipped butter on the foccacia was insane, the crispy spicy and sweet chicken wings were SO large but so full of flavor, the lamb rags wa athe perfect blend of sweet and savory without being too heavy, and the pumpkin espresso Mille-feuille was just absolutely one of the best things I've had this month. No one checked to make sure our food was safe, no one swept under the table, no one even just said I'm sorry! Here's the best part- I posted a picture in my insta story of the birthday card on the table and tagged the restaurant. They wrote to me a DM and said glad you enjoyed your birthday. Cozy inside, magical patios, delicious food, amazing happy hour prices. I always order the sopecitos de tinga, a cazuelita and a huarache Maria. The sopecitos de tinga are doughy corn cups layered with black beans, small amount of a cole slaw-like thing, savory shredded chicken and topped with crema fresca, queso fresco and avocado. They have several cazuelitas but my favorite are the cochinita pibil (shredded braised pork) and the carne deshebrada (shredded braised brisket). So gooooood!! They come in a clay pot-style so they keep their warmth way after being served. The huarache Maria is simple yet so delicious and mildly spicy. A perfect way to start the meal. Cocktails are great, but I always eat here with an Indio in hand. read more

Went for happy hour as a guest of several Austin friends. Location is a very cozy older style house. Very good ambiance although table are closely spaced so maybe just a little to loud for good conversation but very nice otherwise. Prices are excellent. For drinks I had a rum and horchata drink, this was excellent but maybe a little too sweet for me. A "Vampiro" easily made up for it (a spicy tequila drink). The group shared a number of appetizers which were all outstanding. Personally I really liked huaraches and a quesadilla with huitlacoche which was outstanding. Too bad we got full on appetizers because this place has really good food. Will definitely return next time I am in Austin. read more

I almost don't want to tell you how good the food is here. Seriously, some of the best interior Mexican food you'll ever find, certainly in Austin. This is not Tex-Mex, so don't go there expecting it or you'll be disappointed. If you've open to some trying some new tastes that you may not have enjoyed before, this is your place. Drinks were crazy strong and we only had two each. Thank God we were on bicycles and not too far from home. We sat outside in front, but they have a nice back area as well. Great spot for brunch if you're able to get a table. The bar was open seating, so we grabbed a chair and ordered there. The appetizer we ordered (champiqueso) was delicious. It came out fresh and quick with some great tortillas. Our food came out at different times, which isn't a big deal. It was pretty solid grub. Server told us would be 20-30 minutes wait, we wanted to leave but decided to stay. They offered some available chairs to sit down while waiting but chairs were limited, first come first serve. After 15-20 minutes waiting, server came to sit us down. They served us complimentary tortillas chips with salad sauce on the house. We ordered one veggi beef soup with corn tortillas, another grilled beef with fried eggs and beans and fries, and another cactus salad. They were delicious. The beef in the soup was so juicy and tender, filled with favors from spices. The grilled beef was marinated with exotic spices and grilled to well done. Very juicy and smoky. We got two sparking water with lime slices to finish out meals. Servers were friendly and easy to work with. I would recommend you.

Main was Lenguado Veracruz while tasty, in found it to be a bit saltier than I prefer. Pretty sure dessert was a take on tres leches which I enjoyed and's would get again.

It's not always easy to find flavorful vegetarian tacos, so this place was a pleasant surprise. I loved it so much that I ended up visiting twice during my two-day trip to Austin. I found a parking garage nearby, which was honestly a downside because they didn't validate parking at the restaurant. Or I guess it's a bar, so that's probably why, but it was like $16 for an hour. Since it's a bar, you order your food at the bar and then sit down. My friends and I shared the beets and ricotta with bread, which was really nice and soft. This dish was nothing crazy and wasn't super flavorful, but it was still pretty good. Then the star of the show came out. I got the chicken Caesar salad, and my friends got the wrap with fries. This was honestly probably my favorite Caesar salad I've ever had, period. The dressing had a little bit of a kick to it, it was peppery and just so flavorful, and the kale was perfectly marinated. I don't know, it was just great. The chicken was amazing. It was kind of a lot of dressing, so next time I might get it on the side, but it was still so good. I also tried my friends' wraps, and they were great and huge, so everyone had leftovers for lunch the next day. This might just be a personal thing, but I will say one downside was that I got an awful stomach ache about an hour afterward. I think it's just because kale can be a little harder to digest, mixed with the fact that there was so much dressing. That said, I'll definitely be coming back. They have a lot of fun menu items that I want to try, and their happy hour menu is great. It was also surprisingly empty in there, but I guess that makes sense since we came on a weekday around 5:30.
