First time ordering, Maryland crab soup and spinach salad, both delicious. Tons of crab in the soup. Will order again.

Welcome to Perry Hall Lib's Grill! This place is such a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. My husband and I have dined here 6 times since they opened. The first time we visited was the night after their opening. We sat in the bar and ordered some of the signitature drinks and snacks. The bourbon brown sugar bacon was to die for and the popcorn was a pleasant surprise (it was seasoned with black pepper, butter, basil, parmesan and truffle oil). The drinks were very good as well. My favorites are the Bacon Bloody Mary (comes with a slice of bacon), the Strawberry Lemonade Crush (which is $5 at happy hour) and the Raspberry Chocolatini. We returned the following night (which was a Friday) for dinner. It was very crowded. And the manager was on top of things and seated everyone that came through the door in a very timely matter. He also visited every table to make sure everything was okay. Our meal that night was exceptional. I had the filet with a fried lobster tail and my husband had the stuffed shrimp and grits. Both were delicious. Our waitress that night was Jess. She was very friendly and helpful with our questions about the menu and even recommended a view things she had tried. The next time we returned was another Friday night. We didn't have a reservation and we were able to snatch a table in the bar. Ryan was our waiter that night and he was very attentive and friendly. I had the Grilled Salmon with was the best that I have ever eaten. It was seasoned with a red pepper vinaigrette that added just the right amount of flavor. My husband got the Baltimore Club (be warned...it's huge) but very good. For dessert Ryan suggested the key lime tart. We took him up on it and were very pleased. It was delicious. We returned for dinner two more times one of them being New Year's Eve. It was very busy as you would guess but everything was perfect with our meal. We had a very relaxing dinner. Jess was our waitress that night as well as Sam. Both were very friendly and attentive. They suggested a few drinks, appetizers and the homemade ice cream for dessert. Lastly, we decided to give brunch a try. We were not disappointed! We started with the chocolate covered bacon. This was so odd but boy was it so good! I ordered a Bacon Bloody Mary that had just the right amount of kick to it. It's so delicious. I love them. For our entrees, I ordered the Homemade French Toast. This was so light and delicious. The nutella was just the right added touch. It was topped with homemade whipped cream and strawberries. My husband got the Crab Benedict. He loved it! So, as you can see, we have visited this place quite alot. We love it here and wish Lib's Grill continued succes. read more

Went to Lib's for an anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint! Our server, Jasmyn B., was great. The cocktails were delicious and the oysters were fresh and tasty. My husband got the Maryland club and I had the bison burger with the beer cheese injection (can you ever go wrong with a syringe full of beer cheese to inject into your burger??). It was pretty packed but service was still great, everyone was attentive and helpful. read more

I went to Lib's Grill for my birthday with a party of four. It was a Tuesday during happy hour and pretty full. My group was warmly greeted and immediately seated by the hostesses. I had the meatloaf with a fried egg on top, my party members ordered salmon and two New York strip steak. The food was banging!!! The waitress was friendly and attentive: Filling glasses, answering questions and checking in. She even comped us (my sister shared the same birthday) two birthday bread puddings with a candles on top. Everyone was well-fed and well pleased. We will return again and again. This was my first time coming to Libs Grill, the ambiance and atmosphere was so inviting. We were pleasantly greeted by Zach as soon as we entered the bar. Had passed by this place on many occasions in the past and finally decided to try it. My aunt and I were pleasantly surprised that we did. The Baltimore Club Sandwich is excellent, with a decent sized crab cake and a fair amount of whole shrimp served with three pieces of toast and the standard BLT fare. Overall, an excellent value in my opinion.The basic crab cake sandwich works and the pork street tacos have a nice flavor to them. Service is good and so is the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. It now has become a regular stop for us when I am visiting the area. read more

You can't beat the buck a shuck oyster deal at happy hour. Everything else is ok to pretty good but nothing to die for. Skip the popcorn and truffle fries because they're just meh but the oyster stew, crab cakes, and kale salad are pretty good. The fish tacos, fried oysters, and cocktails are OK. The pretzel bread they give you is hit or miss--if it's fresh and warm it's delicious but if it's not, it gets tough and dry. read more

We went to Lib's grill a couple of weeks ago after have trouble finding a decent restaurant that was open after 8:30 pm. The food and beverages were excellent and I had some very tasty oysters. Super fast service...superb food. Ordered the chicken sandwich. Soooo yummy. It has apples bacon and honey mustard on top. It was to die for. Losing one star because this a very small establishment. Very tight seating, hard to accommodate if you're a large party. The kicker is the male hostess said we couldn't be seated (even though there were empty tables) because reservations were beginning in 90 minutes...huh? Unheard of. I've had lunch at their restaurant Liberatores, but decided to meet a friend for happy hour. Great bar! The bartenders were great! I tried the candied bacon. It was good but I was expecting something more. It's just 3 strips of bacon on a small plate....not much of an appetizer but it was good. The atmosphere is great. My friend had a burger and he said it was good. The fries were a little soggy. They have a huge selection of beer on tap and lots of spirits to please even the pickiest of pallets. Overall a great place that's in a small shopping center. I'll be back! read more

Love this place! When guest come in from out of town this is our favorite place to take them. They have great deals on oysters, we frequently snag some for $1. We've never had a dish we didn't enjoy. It gets pretty crowded during happy our. Their huge selection of whiskey probably has something to do with that. read more

This was the perfect place for a date night. It was a Friday night so I was afraid the dinning area would be too loud. Instead the atmosphere was just right. Let me start with I made reservations earlier that day for 7:15. We ran into traffic and thought we would need to find another place. Lib's staff called me to assure me they would hold my table. That was the start of their impeccable service. The host greeted us as we arrived and seated us quickly. The waitress was very attentive and guided us through the menu. It was our first time there and it was a treat. The oysters were excellent. The drinks were made fresh with out a bunch of mix added. The scallops and steak was simply amazing. Loved my first visit to Libs. We called ahead and got reservations, we were seated after a quick drink at the bar. For appetizers we had the empanadas and a dozen clams. For entrees we had the meatloaf (with a fried egg on top), shepherds pie, pork chop and the fourth person in our party had the mini crab cake appetizer as an entree. All the food was outstanding. The wine list is good and if you like raw oysters, the selection is incredible. We will definitely be going back. read more

I've visited many times over the years and today's experience was lackluster at best. Our server was prompt and attentive, though I ordered a grapefruit crush and he made a vodka and soda with a muddled grapefruit slice, rather than grapefruit juice. We ordered the poutine and it was good shredded beef in aujus (not gravy) and no cheese or seasoning to speak of. We ordered a dozen oysters and they were tasty, though not thoroughly shucked and were 33$! Two drinks (one not so good) an average appetizer, overpriced oysters for 65$! Not impressed. read more

My boyfriend and I planned on getting dinner and a movie and found Lib's on yelp. We walked in to a packed full restaurant on a Friday night without a reservation and they managed to get us seated immediately! Our service was average (I forget the servers name but she was a heavy set Greek woman). The server clearly has been in the industry for a long time but the service was a little out of pace. Besides that, the food was fantastic; from the bread and sweet butter that was provided, to the bread and beer cheese, to the Asian Brussel sprouts, to the short rib rigatoni, to the seafood flatbread, to the bread pudding with salted caramel ice cream. The apple spice Tito's cocktail and the white cosmo were equally as wonderful! We will certainly dine here again when we're in the area! read more

I usually go here for brunch and they bring you the best free donut hole appetizers. Our waiter this past time was awesome! Checked on us but wasn't overwhelming but also came by a good amount of times, he really paid attention to his tables. Had breakfast tacos and they came with tots, everything was amazing. Neat place with friendly, hospitable staff. I caught happy hour @ the bar, I got the empanadas and a veggie dip. The empanadas were just "ok" hh 4 for $7 not a bad deal- but it was mostly chopped meat with lots of melted cheese and no vegetables. Hey, that might be your thing but not a true empanada. Should have been called a meat/cheese pocket. The veggie dip was huge and had a huge portion of mix vegetables for dipping. a steal @$4. The dip was definitely the star of my short, limited visit. I also got two Moscow mules which actually came in a traditional copper cup. Kudos for the detail!! 3 stars because I have yet to try the oysters and steak. Came at an amazing time... HAPPY HOUR! And boy was it happy. The $1 oysters contained 4 different oysters and the additional varieties were also excellent at $2.25 each. Look to the chalkboard to see what's available and if Ryan is around you know you're in good hands! They come out cleanly opened, almost all of the oyster liquor remained intact, and sand free. We found this on our travels. Entered through the back door and it was a maze of chairs, a table with rolls of silverware. Immediately thought of fire hazard. The waitress was nice and attentive. The cheeses bread balls they delivered to us were beyond dry and hard. My chicken sandwich was ok but the fries were cold and soggy. My husbands burger was ordered midsummer and it was very well done. His fries were the same as mine. Next time we stop in the area on our way home will find another place for dinner read more

Libs Grill was amazing! I had only been for lunch and happy hour pre-covid. I took my wife for dinner and it was fantastic! We then returned on Sunday night with my two sons so they could have the same experience. The GM stopped by our table just as he did the night before. He remembered me and my wifes names! Great place to come with friends for drinks, but as a vegetarian, there is rarely anything for me to eat, which has me convince my friends we should go somewhere else most of the time. Too bad there isn't something on the menu for veggie eaters to have besides salad. If there was, I wouldn't veto this place as often when my group of friends suggest we go to Libs. Even non vegetarians like veggie foods once in awhile! read more
