The service was great but the food was not what others rave about. We had crab dip that didn't even had crabs in it, they should've sent a plate old Bay and salt (OH THEY DID). The blackend chicken with Cajun sauce just insulted Cajun food. The steam shrimp was mushy and loaded with Old Bay. The burger was plain with no flavor. I used to say that Libs was the best restaurant in the area. Alas, the last few visits (in last 6 months) have left a lot to be desired. The food used to be fantastic, but our most recent meals have been a bit on the bland side. The service has also seemed to be as slow as molasses. The issue seems to be on the kitchen side of the restaurant. Taken together, I wonder if they've had a lot of turnover in the kitchen based on the food inconsistencies and how long it takes for the food to arrive. The servers seem to be doing the best they can and the managers seem to be running around to put out fires as fast as possible. A year ago they were just walking around to make sure everything was amazing as always. Hopefully they can return to former glory, but we aren't in a rush to go back at this point. read more

First time to Lib's Grille. The 2 star was due to value to quality meal. We had the two crabs cakes that were about as average as you can get. The chicken with bacon was very dry and nothing to remember. Atmosphere is lively and service was great. I'm pretty sure we won't be trying this a second time as there are many more restaurants to choose from in the area. I would say try it for a good stocked bar and decent appetizers. Feedback from management was much appreciated. We would have addressed the concern that evening but we always feel the food should be prepared to a good standard prior to arriving at our table. Just would not recommend the Lobster Mac an Cheese it's barely any cheese and more like buttery noodles with lobster chunks and *sprinkles* of shredded cheese. I have been here twice. The food is so good!!! I love the atmosphere as well. So tonight my husband ordered a chicken sandwich that he didn't really care for. The manager (Nick) came over and personally apologized and he also explained that he spoke with the chef. I was looking for a new place to try for my husband's birthday. This place was great!!! We each got a drink. I got a mule but with peach alcohol and it was delicious! We then got fried oysters and their homemade pretzels with beer cheese. The oysters were fried well- not too breaded or greasy. The pretzels were soooo yummy! I've never had beer cheese before and it was good, not my favorite thing ever but a good pair with the pretzels. For dinner my husband had the ribeye and I had the short rib risotto. For dessert we had pumpkin cheesecake and chocolate cheesecake. Nothing was a disappointment. It was all delicious! I liked the atmosphere in the restaurant too. The lights were dimmed and the bar was separated from the dining area by a glass wall. The restrooms had these cute encouraging and positive notes for you to take. My first time here, my daughter took me. She said I would love it. This place is an extension of Liberatore's, which is a full-service Italian restaurant. The food was delicious, prices were comparable for the quality of food. The restaurant itself was not very big but I was told that part of it was quartered off to host a party. But still by looking at that it still looked quite small. We went at brunch, I wasn't expecting brunch but a lot of things on the brunch menu also you could consider lunch. I got a hamburger that I asked to be medium well. it came in my opinion well done but it was very flavorful. you can get pretty much anything you want on a burger just ask. Instead of french fries I got asparagus grilled Al Dente just the way I like it. The salad comes with any type of meat, chicken, seafood or fish with a roll on the side. dressing seem to be homemade. Now for the deviled eggs. The crab top deviled eggs. Oh my God! You get 3 for $5. If I had known they were as good as they were I would have ordered three orders. We are frequent customers of Libs Grill. The food is always delicious and the staff is very friendly.

First visit here and found the food selections interesting and enjoyed all we had. If you want a salad but just a bit ask for a half salad which was huge! The lobster roll was excellent and actually tasted like lobster...having had them 2 other places recently where they were just void of flavor. The candied bacon was good as well-3 large pieces. Since we were there during brunch that was the only menu but on that menu they offer "buck a shuck" oysters which were very nice-large and tasty, served on ice with cocktail sauce, lemon wedge and apple cider vinegar. I don't really like Brussel sprouts but theirs were delicious-carmelized with chunks of bacon. We will go back and also try Liberatore's at the other end of the street-the monster burger is just that-Gigantic! read more

I came here twice in one week! Actually three kinda. I dropped in for takeout. I got a salmon club sandwich. The environment was an experience. I loved the abundance of Christmas decorations! It reminded me of a club I saw on Sex in the City. The music was moderately loud and the place was packed. I immediately decided I was coming back. My sandwich was good and my fries were great! Like boardwalk fries. Anyway, I came back Thursday and again packed to capacity which I actually like! I stood at the bar and ordered a Negroni while I waited to be seated. The Negroni was perfect and is now my favorite drink. The Shrimp and Grits were good too. Friday I came and again....packed only this time they had the bar reserved which I thought was the dumbest thing. The bar should always be up for grabs. No exceptions. Visiting from out of town, found Lib's Grill on Yelp and thought we would give it a try. So happy we did! The ambiance was perfect, lively but not too loud with romantic low lighting. We started with the jumbo lump crab dip which was one of the best crab dips I've ever had considering I'm no stranger to crab living on the Chesapeake Bay. After years of great food and service, I have to say that Lib's Grill in Perry Hall has really hit bottom. My husband made a reservation on a Saturday night to take me there for my birthday. It was a bit crowded but not bad, and they had that new covered patio open. However, there was some issue with the AC unit and people from the kitchen kept coming out to look at it and even drained water from the ceiling which I thought was gross but at least no one was sitting near there. Our waiter was new (or seemed to be) so I tried to cut him some slack. We asked about the great pretzel bread and cinnamon spread they use to serve and he told us the menu was all new and he didn't know anything about that. Okay, no big deal, we ordered an appetizer (Honey Ricotta) while we looked over the menu. Appetizer came and we ordered our dinners. Then, our waiter disappeared. As the staff were all concentrating on the broken AC, the tables were ignored. It took over an hour to get our meals and they were COLD! Seriously? We decided to leave and asked to see the manager. So the hostess came over and apologized but they were busy with the AC issue, said our "meal" would be comped and said she would have the manager call us about our experience. Manager never called. Not the best birthday dinner experience. And Lib's Grill has lost 2 customers. Too bad :( read more

My boyfriend and I had brunch at Lib's Grill last weekend and thought it was great! We split the Asian brussel sprouts and we were shocked at how good they were! He had four oysters on the half shell which he said were fantastic and very fresh. I ordered the chicken and waffles and he had the tuna and avocado tostada. My entree was prepared perfectly EXCEPT the chicken literally had no flavor. A shame too because it was cooked just right, which not a lot of restaurants can do, so I was a little disappointed in that. Meanwhile, my boyfriend's portion was just really small. He said it was good and the flavor was on point but it was just a small portion. I didn't drink anything but coffee (which was really good) while my guy had a Bloody Mary that he said was really good. I still recommend the place and would definitely good back! After reading reviews about Lib's, we finally came in to check it out. Delicious food. I've never been to a place that was able to make grits the way I make them at home. They were creamy with just the right amount of cheese. I tried to make a reservation before coming but was only being offered a slot for noon. We took a chance and came over regardless. The staff was able to accommodate us and we were super glad they did. Our server Alicia was friendly and attentive. These are qualities I look for. I had dinner at Lib's Grill on 5/5/16. The wait staff and Nick Liberatore were so welcoming! They all took the time to talk with us, thank us for coming, and truly made us feel welcome. My wife and I went to Lib's for the first time recently for a date night and took advantage of their restaurant week menu. Usually restaurants don't put their best foot forward for the restaurant week menus but we were blown away by the salmon, lobster Mac and cheese, the shrimp and grits, and the Brussel sprouts. Really high quality and pretty inventive for a suburban restaurant. The drinks were pretty well done too. Our server nice, knowledgeable, and prompt and the owner came out to check on us when he heard it was our first time coming there (after a mishap at a neighbor long restaurant which was not very good).
