Lib's Grill is a contemporary, neighborhood New American bar and grill located in the nearby Maple Lawn community of Fulton, MD. Known for its lively gastropub atmosphere, extensive drink lists, and live music, it is a highly-rated spot for both casual dining and special occasions. . Popular Shares: Asian Fried Brussels Sprouts, Deviled Eggs stuffed with crab, and Crab Dip Bread Bowls.Entrées: Handcrafted Roseda Burgers, signature Meatloaf with tomato bacon jam, and premium steaks like a pepper-crusted Sirloin and Cowboy-cut Ribeye.Seafood: Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Sandwiches, Pistachio & Pepita Salmon, and Lobster Mac and Cheese Skillets.Weekend Brunch: Distinct dishes like Nashville Hot Chicken & Waffles, Crispy Rice Benedict, and Apple Pie Pancakes. We ordered STUFFED DATES GO; bacon wrapped shteugoat cheese, chorizo, red pepper harrisa it was reeallly good! The flat bread wasn't as is. Because we ordered gluten free one. Unfortunately gluten free dough is a bit different than the usual. And Argentinian steak was good too. We shared everything and they offer us to divided by 2 plate which was kind. Complementary popcorn was really good We didn't have dessert but they looks have a nice cheese cake board.

We went to Libs for Father's Day. The menu is promising, the atmosphere is great, and they have a great outdoor area. We sat outside, but unfortunates it was as the sun was going down and the way the patio faces puts you in direct sunlight with little shading. I don't fault the restaurant for that. Just something to think about. What I do fault the restaurant for, we waited almost an hour just to place orders. When we told the waitress we were ready, she said she had to grab her iPad for ordering and then we watched her take 2 other tables orders before coming back to us about 20 minutes later. The food was also not quick to come out after that as well. However, once we got the food it was good. My Greek chicken bowl was pretty good. My husband was not a fan of his Argentinian steak. The potatoes on it were undercooked. My kids loved their kids meals though. With all of this, I would go back. I would just know what I'm getting into. My in laws also say the regularly get take out from here and that is always ready on time and carry's home well.

I'm so disappointed. I come here so often. The food and drinks are really good but this place is filthy! Sticky floor and dust on the chairs. I'll be back to check if this review makes a difference because I want to keep coming.

I have been here plenty of times in the past 4 years. It is a favorite spot. Service has always been wonderful, drinks delicious. The staff is excellent at communicating and giving recommendations.

I love a good Brunch on Sundays. And Lib's did not disappoint. You have to order the Maryland Crab Soup, Beef Melt with the French Union Soup and the Mimosa Bucket. You will not be disappointed. Sit at the bar for a good time and enjoy some good music and sports.

Had a great experience here! Would totally recommend. FOOD 5/5- I got the Korean fried chicken rice bowl and it was SO yummy! Had half left over to take home! Was great The deviled eggs are a MUST!!!!! They were DELICIOUS DRINK 4/5- a bit light handed and had a lot of coconut milk but loved it overall. Spiked pink drink and pink drink is my favorite Starbucks order! AMBIANCE 5/5- had so much natural light! Was great! SERVICE 5/5- everyone was super attentive. Thank you!

On a cold, weekday evening my foodie companion and I decided to try something new and headed out to try Lib's Grill in Maple Lawn. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, welcoming and not pretentious, a mix of couples, families, and groups of friends enjoying a night out. The restaurant was bustling, the bar area was nearly full and while we did have a reservation, it appeared not to be absolutely necessary. Service was friendly, prompt, and informative. I started with one of their craft cocktails and our server recommended a beer for my friend. The drinks were perfectly refreshing and a good start to our evening. When my friend saw they had oysters, this convinced him we had chosen wisely. We selected a mix of their oyster offerings. They arrived chilled and with just the right amount of condiments making for a tantalizing slurp to start our dinner. For starters, we selected the Brussels Sprouts and the Roasted Beet Carpaccio. The Brussels were perhaps some of the best we've had in quite some time, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The goat cheese on the Beet Carpaccio was very good, but for me, the flavor profile wasn't quite there, it needed a little more acidity. For dinner, my friend selected the Shrimp and Grits, and I chose the Argentinian Steak. While quite good, constructive criticism would be that the vinegar in the chimichurri, smothered an otherwise perfectly cooked, flavorful steak and the rosemary overpowered the roasted potatoes. The grits, while delicious, were almost too creamy rich, but otherwise a delicious blend of sausage and shrimp. For dessert, we shared the Key Lime Pie and the Carrot Cake. The cake was very good, but we weren't fans of the hardened frosting top, and we wished the Key Lime Pie had even more tart, lime flavor. The portions were plentiful, the price point was reasonable, and all plates were wonderfully presented. The friendly neighborhood environment, atmosphere, and service all enhanced our dining experience. Definitely give them a try, we will return and look forward to it.

Recently visited for Brunch. My friend and I sat in the bar area. On this visit I had 6 oysters, which were on a buck a shuck special. Nicely sized, fresh and briny. OJ Crush, boozy and refreshing. And the Crab Cake Hash. Good sized crab cake. Little to no filler. It was served with an over easy egg, spinach and potatoes. The dish was savory and delicious. If there was one thing I had to mention negatively about the dish, it would be the lack of spinach. There seemed to have only been 2 sprigs of spinach. Our bartender was super nice, knowledgable and fast. I'll definitely be back! SYOY!

This was my first time dinning at this restaurant. One reason I choose to dine here was because of the holiday decorations. The restaurant was beautifully decorated which I loved. To my surprise they also had karaoke which was fun and festive to listen to. I ordered something basic, grilled chicken ceasar salad and it was good. The service was quick and friendly. It would be nice if they added mulled wine to the menu.

Janine T.

We had SOOOO much fun with Phil as our server. 10/10 would request him again! He's friendly and personable in a way that really isn't common nowadays. We loved our dining experience! For food, the Asian Brussels sprouts are worth the trip alone. I also loved my beef and burrata pasta.

You have to go to see Shwe!!! She was amazing!!!!!!!! So sweet and kind! Her smile can brighten a WHOLE room! It was such a vibe in there. Very relaxing, great place to meet up just about anyone for brunch, lunch or dinner!!! The food is amazing!!! Everything that I have tried has been good! But, the salmon and crab dip is my absolute favorite!

Clara K.

They offer a wide variety of delicious brunch and lunch options. I've tried the French toast, classic American breakfast, flatbread, Brussels sprouts, and the meatloaf--and everything has been fantastic. The meatloaf, in particular, is outstanding! The service has always been excellent as well. I'll definitely be coming back.

LaTeri M.

Aliyah was amazing that could be the review! The food was pretty ok but we did have to send the steak back because it was not properly cooked. The manager resolved our problem without any issues. I've gone to plenty of live locations so they can be cool to grab lunch with friends or a romantic date.

Lib's is my favorite happy hour spot! The food & drinks are on point! The staff is attentive and detail-oriented! Isabella is a very welcoming and friendly hostess. First, I so appreciated the manager working the night we went to Lib's!! My husband had made a reservation for 7 people the Saturday evening of our guest speaker. The book signing went 1/2 an hour longer than anticipated, so we got the the restaurant late! I felt so bad asking to make a big table for us after missing the reservation by an hour! BUT, the manager and staff very kindly managed our request quicker than I could even anticipate and all so NICE! Everyone was so friendly & accommodating on that packed, busy Saturday night. I was so so impressed! That manager should be promoted and given a raise for how smoothly and how kindly he accommodated the entire last minute shifting of plans! This I will remember and recommend Lib's. However, the food was okay. Fancy presentations but the taste was just okay. We had scallops with butternut squash, crab cakes, hummus, specialty burgers, brie, salads, fries, can't recall what the kids ate. read more

This is one place worth trying! Although jam packed on a friday night, the service was informative and prompt. The vibe relaxed and welcoming. Live acoustic music with staff that seemed more family than co- workers. The drinks were artful and tasted just as good as they sounded on the menu. Now on to the food for a moment..OH MY! This place has come so far since my first visit. For starters we had Natty Boh steamed shrimp. They were fresh, huge, and cooked perfectly. I am a spicy girl, so I added some extra horse radish to my home made cocktail sauce, and they were perfect. It is so hard to find real horse radish, well look no further! For our main courses we had ribeye and filet mignon. His ribeye was served with asparagus and baked potato stuffed with crab meat and cheese. I don't think he said one work besides "mmmm" while he shoveled in his dish. With my filet came mash potatoes, asparagus, and a side of lobster mac. I do not know what else to say besides food ecstasy! My steak was cooked perfect medium with the most amazing peppercorn sauce ever. The whipped mashed potatoes had the perfect amount of garlic flavor and my asparagus were cooked but not overdone. The generous portion of lobster mac and cheese had a perfect Al Dente noodle with what I would call more of a cream sauce. The sauce was something I'm pretty sure I dreamed about last night. The lobster meat did not stop coming either. Down to every last bite there was huge chunks of Lobster Claw. Although I had been full for 10 minutes I just could not stop eating! It really was that good! Usually after an extremely Full Belly I just want to take my happy self home and go right to bed, but Tonya, Andrew, and crew make it hard to leave! We ended up getting another round and staying late night. It was worth every bit of it. I can't wait to go back. I don't know if I'm more pumped about seeing Tonya or trying a dessert, but we will surely find out! Highly recommend! read more

Great atmosphere and attentive servers. I made a reservation here last Friday night for a party of 3. However upon coming in, the restaurant was not crazy like I had expected so I probably did not need that reservation (about 6 pm). The food was okay. We got the seafood flatbread and it was delicious up until the last bite when I bit into a crab shell. I got the lobster roll which was delicious and my two friends got the lobster Mac and Cheese. Personally none of us were super impressed with the lobster Mac and Cheese which also had a few small shells in them. The desserts were fantastic, we had a creme brûlée, coconut cake and brownie sundae which all came out warm and delicious. Overall I would go again, but I would probably avoid much of the seafood. read more

Even the sauce struggled to bring flavor to the meal. Our server was friendly and relatively attentive but did not look well put together. I know that sounds rude but I do not expect to see my server's belly peaking out under a shirt while I'm ordering. Also, the tables were a little too close together, which meant our server had to stand a little awkwardly close. From the delicious sandwich I had the first time I visited which is no longer on the menu, to the cold dishes we got during our previous visit, to the bland grilled chicken, I think we should give up. Today, I decided to take my parents out for brunch. Lib's Grill is a restaurant that I frequent, especially for brunch and I keep coming back because of the consistent quality of both the food and the service. On this particular visit, we were fortunate to be served by Danielle, who provided us with excellent care throughout our dining experience. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel truly valued as repeat guests. To start our brunch experience, we ordered mimosas. While my parents opted for the traditional mimosas, I decided to try something different and went for the pineapple variation. I must say, the beverages were absolutely on point. The mimosas were perfectly balanced, and the coffee was hot and not too strong. When it comes to brunch, Lib's Grill always offers an enticing selection of options on their menu. This time, we decided to try a variety of dishes. I ordered the Mexican Chorizo Scramble, which consisted of scrambled eggs, Spanish chorizo, avocado, pico de gallo, shredded cheddar cheese, crispy tortilla strips, and soft flour tortillas. The combination of flavors was simply delightful, and each bite was delicious. My parents opted for the B.E.C. Omelet Sandwich, which featured bacon, egg, cheddar cheese, and a toasted brioche bun, accompanied by tater tots. The omelet sandwich was a perfect blend of savory ingredients, and the toasted bun added a nice crunch to every bite. The tater tots were crispy and seasoned to perfection. We couldn't resist trying the Fried Chicken & Waffles, which came with sunny side up eggs and hot sauce. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired beautifully with the fluffy waffles. The combination of the runny egg yolks and the tangy hot sauce elevated the dish. One of the things I love about Lib's Grill is that it always feels like home. Whether you're there to watch a sporting event or simply enjoy great conversation with company, the ambiance is warm and inviting. The friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and comfy food make it a place worth returning to time and time again. In conclusion, if you're looking for a restaurant that offers exceptional food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Lib's Grill is the place to go. Once again, it did not disappoint. read more

Went to eat here with a group of friends that live locally. I'm from Fairfax,Va. We were seated rather quickly and our waitress arrived promptly to take our drink order. Her name was Sierra, and she was extremely knowledgeable of the menu! She made wonderful suggestions on which items to order, as well as which drinks paired well with our order. I'm a service professional, so, I'm rather critical of the service I receive when I'm out and about. Sierra should be a trainer for this establishment! She was always checking in with us to see if we needed anything, our plates were cleared quickly, and our glasses always full. It was around 6pm when we arrived, and the restaurant was getting a nice crowd. Sierra still managed to keep tabs on our group, with a smile on her face. Our food was delicious! For the appetizers, we enjoied the pork street tacos, parmesan truffle fries, and crab dip. Our entrees were the Lobster mac and cheese, Pan roasted chicken, Honeygo rib eye, Bacon and Bleu flat iron Steak, Peppercorn and Bourbon filet, and Maryland crab cakes. All were amazing! With wonderful food, and knowledgeable service with a smile, this general service manager, gives Lib's Grill 5 stars! read more

From the moment I stepped through the doors, it was immediately clear that this establishment operates on an entirely different level. The cuisine was nothing short of exceptional--elevated in both flavor and presentation, rivaling even the most renowned culinary institutions. Every dish was a harmonious blend of creativity and precision, truly exemplifying top-tier gastronomy. What impressed me even more, however, was the service. It transcended the standard of hospitality, offering a level of attentiveness and professionalism that felt both effortless and sincere. The staff anticipated needs before they were expressed, creating an experience that was as seamless as it was memorable. Husband and I have been wanting to try the new location, as we loved Lib's in Perry Hall, and this one is only 10 min away from us. Our server was very nice, casual cool ambience, but the food wasn't that great. Candied bacon was over the top sweet, deviled eggs were a little tasteless, Brussels sprouts were mush and our entrees were really disappointing. He decided on the special - 6 oz braised tenderloin that ended up being mostly inedible because of how fatty it was. I ordered the salmon with rice. The salmon was over-cooked and dry and it came with about a tablespoon of flavorless rice and topped with a handful of arugula. Maybe it was our selection of food? Maybe it was because of how packed it was? Either way, it didn't live up to our expectations of the original Libs. read more

Oops! I was there a week ago & forgot to review! We treated our friend to a belated birthday lunch,…read moreand it was lovely. Initially slow to get going because we asked our server for a few extra minutes to peruse the menu (we MAY have been chatting too much!). Then it almost felt like they forgot us. But once we ordered, the service was great the rest of the time. We drank a lot of water, and the server brought a bottle so we could help ourselves. Nice touch. I had an excellent panini and chose the mixed greens instead of fries as my side. I had never heard of "cistecca" before, so I looked it up. Fun aside: both of my searches returned only Italian language responses! Anyway, it's a made-up word for a Philly cheesesteak. And it was delicious. Lots of beef steak strips, gooey, melty provolone, and boom-boom sauce. I took half of it home because it was very filling. The greens were meh. Not enough dressing and just very basic. I guess it's a lunch special but it doesn't appear on the online ordering menu. It was $18, very reasonable although I consider that only for the panini as the greens were probably about $1.00 worth. Wish I had gotten fries. One friend and I each had a decaf and it was the only surprising price: $8 for a very small cup! We were seated in a corner, which helped us to hear each other better. Parking is ample and free. It's on the end of a strip mall, easy to spot.

Disappointing is an understatement!…read more I've been to this restaurant several times in the past and have always known it for having really good service and food, which is why today's experience was especially disappointing. First, I was surprised to learn that although pizza is on the menu, they weren't offering it because the wood-fired pizza operator wasn't working today. I understand that staffing issues happen, but it was still frustrating to arrive expecting to be able to order something that's prominently featured on the menu and then find out it wasn't available. What made it even more frustrating is that as we were leaving, we were told they had actually found the operator to make the pizzas. We approached the them and they said, "oh just come back later. " Very dismissive and rude given we spent almost $500 for food we really didn't want. Unfortunately, the service didn't make up for it either. It was mediocre at best and noticeably below the level of service I've experienced here in the past. Overall, the experience felt like a significant decline from what I've come to expect from this restaurant. At this point, I don't think I'll be back.

We were looking for a place to have have a…read morequick dinner because we had a last minute babysitter so we were excited to go out for an uninterrupted meal. We do frequent Maple Lawn, but I guess we are creature of habits because we've never looked at Galliano. First thing I did was take a peek at the cocktail, then the food menu and saw that the drink prices were comparable for the area and found one or two entrees that caught my eye. We called to make a reservation at 9:30p, although they said it wasn't necessary. It was an impromptu Saturday night and we got there right after the dinner rush so it was perfect. We sat outside, there was was beautiful, and the patio was clean. Our server Joe was phenomenal and incredibly personable. I ordered the Fettuccine Mediterraneo and my husband got the beef tenderloin (pics included). (Not pictured: Meat Lover pizza which was also very good.) The beef tenderloin It was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious and the scallops and shrimp were massive and so fresh. Keep in mind while these two menu items were pricey, the portion size is large and I had enough leftover pasta for lunch and dinner the next day and my husband had his leftovers for dinner on Sunday. We also ordered the espresso martini, Italian margarita, bourbon bramble aaaaand one other one but can't remember the name. We also had a nice chat with the young man named Chase who was clearing the tables and tidying up. I think it's important that you recognize and acknowledge when you have wonderful service, especially for young people who are just starting out with their jobs. (I'm sure he was so over us telling him how proud we were of him!) We definitely were not planning on spending that much money on ourselves for dinner, but hey--toddler parents need to be spoiled every now and again... it was absolutely worth it and we do not regret it. The only thing we regret is that we didn't try this place sooner! Thank you, Joe, Chase, the wonderful chefs, bartender, and a back of house staff. We can't wait to come back and try a new items! One thing of note: the restaurant is on the first floor of an office building and the restrooms are shared with the offices. My stall did not have toilet paper and neither did the one next to me, but thank goodness someone came in and was able to give me some from another stall. I take away nothing from the restaurant because of that.

Take out is quite easy with food awaiting at the greeting desk. The crab dip is unique and quite delish. Served with garlic knots, the crab dip is baked together in a cast iron skillet and finished with melted parmesan. I've had several dishes which are delightful. The Cajun Chicken & Shrimp Pasta is a wonderful combo of blackened chicken and shrimp, pasta and Nawlins cream sauce. For more NOLA yummies, the Louisiana Red Jambalaya is sautéed chicken and shrimp with Andouille sausage and jasmine rice. The Shrimp and Grits envelope andouille sausage, smoked bacon, blistered cherry tomatoes, and sherry cream for a comforting Louisiana dish. The Mushroom Rissoto is portobello, shiitake, and cremini mushrooms tossed with truffle oil, topped with crispy fried shallots and grated parmesan. Lastly, I can recommend the Southern Chicken Piccata which is topped with lemon butter, cherry tomatoes, garlic and capers. Roasted potatoes and arugula salad are on the side. For desert, the cookie sundae is nothing more than a big chocolate chip cookie, with vanilla ice cream and a chocolate-caramel sauce. But simple things are the best. Perfect for splitting. Give 'em a try and you'll be back again and again and again!
