Such a VERY bad experience with Liberty/Bekins Movers from Dudley to Texas. Very Poorly organized !!! Came 4 hours early on the day of pickup, despite knowing we were not ready. At 830A that morning when they called to say would arrive in 30 min, we told drivers we received call day before they would arrive after 1p and that we needed that time to tie up our loose ends to ensure a well coordinated move for us. Despite the day before telling us after 1P, (and never mentioning the possibility of being early), the day of move they strongly told us we had no other option. Consequently, we had to finish what we had planned to do in that 4hours while they were already moving out stuff, quite a chaotic, unorganized, scurrying about rush to our dismay. We were unable to monitor and supervise what they were doing because we still were packing what we were supposed to have had 4 more hours to pack. In hindsight, I am feeling strongly that THIS may have been their plan. Many items that they packed because they came early and we ourselves hadn't gotten to them yet, were not "gently" packed and they separated items such as leaf blowers from it's bag(bag now missing), water vac from it's hose, (hose now missing), brackets to put together computer stand (brackets now missing) and oh so many, many other items we cannot use because they separated parts. It was our plan to tie together but they were in such a rush pushing us along, they just took them as they were, without allowing us to secure them, not did they bother to do so. If we had been given the promised time, these items would not have been separated and now of no use us. Here's hoping they pay to replace or they find in warehouse where they originally stored our stuff for a week or on the truck that transported stuff to TX., without having to seek litigation, in addition to all this anguish they caused. One worker just carelessly threw things into a top drawer of a bureau in my presence, without disregard for its safety or my feelings, impatient I wasn't moving quickly enough for him. Then these Liberty Movers only put all our furniture and belongings into a storage warehouse, holding onto it for a week before even beginning it on its journey from MA to TX. So couldn't they have given us those 4 HOURS THEY HAD SCHEDULED TO GIVE US ???WE HAD TOLD THEM WE REALLY NEEDED IT AND WOULD MAKE THINGS GO MORE SMOOTHLY FOR US. THEIR REPLY AND I QUOTE "ABSOLUTELY NOT. YOU HAVE NOT OTHER OPTION." AND THE REAL CONSUMER RELATIONS SHOCKER HERE IS WHEN THEY WERE LEAVING EARLY AFTERNOON, WORKER TOLD ME THEY HAD NO ONE ELSE AFTER US TO SERVICE‼ SO IT WASN'T AS THOUGH THEY WERE ON A TIGHT SCHEDULE. ABSOLUTELY NO WILLINGNESS TO WORK WITH THE CUSTOMER.THEIR MOTTO SEEMS TO BE: TAKE THEIR MONEY BUT DON'T WORK WITH THEM. SO FUTURE CONSUMERS, BEWARE‼ I had to mail boxes to TX of items that they never took that day as was planned because they ran out quicker than I could do room checks! So now even a GREATER EXPENSE ‼ Their coming early only to store our stuff in their own warehouse for a week, required us to stay in a motel in MA 2 additional nights b4 our home closed in Dudley,(couldn't give us more time in our home until closing since furniture not going anywhere anyway??? THEY SHOW NO WILLINGNESS WHATSOEVER TO EORK WITH THE CUSTOMER TO HELP MAKE A SMOOTHER TRANSITION‼) and it then required us to stay in a Texas hotel 7 nights awaiting it to reach TX because they couldn't find anyone to bring it. So why the frantic rush to push us out in such a chaotic, frenzied, items' destroying fashion? AGAIN, NO CONSIDERATION WHATSOEVER FOR THE CUSTOMER‼‼ In Addition to their very poor planning for picking up and sending off our furniture, we have been discovering on an ongoing basis, to our dismay, that ITEMS are missing, some that were significant attachments to important equipment and furniture as well as filled totes. They were lost either in the warehouse where they were stored for a week or the items got lost on truck coming to TX which was moving 2 other families. VERY POOR ORGANIZATION , NOT CONSIDERATE OF ITS CUSTOMERS, THE OUT OF STATE BEKINS MOVERS BLAMING THE MA LIBERTY MOVERS ETC.(we had been promised they coordinate well that was not evident! ) I would NEVER RECOMMEND LIBERTY/ BEKINS TO ANYONE MOVING ACROSS NUMEROUS STATES. THEY DON'T HAVE THE ORGANIZATION NOR THE CARING ATTITUDE TO MAKE IT GO SMOOTHLY FOR THE CUSTOMER. WILL BE CALLING THEM TO REPORT THE Missing ITEMS. WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW THEY RESPOND! Hopefully they may right some of their wrongs! When/IF THEY DO, I WILL CERTAINLY GIVE THEM CREDIT FOR DOING SO IN THIS FORUM AS THAT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO!! Wrongsto correct:
