Great place to take guests when they are from out of town. Very quaint and in a historic area with so much charm. Food took awhile, bench's and seats are hard, so bring your own padding if you have a bad back like me, and it may get kind of noisy by the bar, but worth the discomfort. Everything was great, my favorite entree was the mushroom burger. But you must try the Coconut pudding dessert, gluten free and amazing, I would come just for that, though $8 is kinda steep. Nice menu. Parking can be a challenge but there is additional free parking across the street. Outside seating area but not sure you can be served there. Climb upstairs or take their elevator to the main dining area. The first floor was closed. Make reservations, limited seating for groups, we had 5 and didnt want to chance it on a Sunday morning brunch. You can order from the reg menu as well as brunch Mimosas were half priced.

Loved this place back on 2018,still love the place! Service has been great, even tho it's not busy on a Friday night (shocking). Drinks were, unexpected but still good.

We went to Liberty Bar on a Sunday for their brunch and I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the food. The service was great but the food tasted cold. I did let the server know and he offered to remake the meal but at that point I was kind of over the French toast so he took it off my bill. My sisters chilaquiles looked delicious. My mom stated her food tasted cold also. I'm not sure if it just happened to be that way but I will say the service and atmosphere was great was just hoping for better food.

Ambiance : wonderful! Service: reluctant to serve us at 10ish, not supper friendly and came around every so often but not often enough. Food: calamari was so tough and didn't taste good. It was stringy and stretchy- it was terrible The goat cheese was great, didn't come with enough bread. Meatballs were good. Coffee was gross Pizza was no that great either I hate when people in the service industry get upset when you come in 2 hours before closing. You could tell they didn't want to serve us. I use to like the Liberty bar- I won't be coming back here. It's pricy for strange food options at night. They have a night menu that you have to stick too and it was no good. I won't be back here. They have gone so far down hill. The service use to be great too Not anymore. I don't like feeling like I'm a bother. That's what I felt like with my friends the moment we walked in. Maybe they will shut down and someone else will take that building over. Someone who gives a darn about their restaurant and how it's run at night.

A converted convent has found a new life spreading the word of great food to the people. Low lit with international and local decor pepper the historic building. You may sit in a pew or belly up to the bar. It is an interesting commentary on today's landscape, culinary harmonization, and religious dichotomy. Service was friendly, albeit a bit slow. Everything we ate and drank was worth the wait. Go hungry. Get the bread and then get some more. Drink all the drinks. We enjoyed the Romeo and Echo. The shrimp tacos plate was licked clean. The handmade pasta received raves of "literally the best I've ever, ever had in my life" from my SIL, and the potroast juices were sopped up with all the scraps of bread by the others at the table. The beef and lamb burgers were both enjoyed, but the lamb received the edge. The Beirut Flashback was just that- a Vaseline memory of tastebuds past. The hummus, garlic and chickpeas stole the show with the pita. We rolled out very full and wanting more. I'd love to go back and sit on the patio. (Fair warning, dining is up a flight of stairs)

Always enjoy dining in here! The ambiance is elegant yet casual, and the service is always fantastic. Happy hour drinks are $8 and well worth too! Tried the chicken achiote, and it was SO moist and soft! One of the best pieces of chicken I've ever had, and seasoned well too. The rice and sautéed cabbages and onion were to die for!!

Came in on a Thursday and it is 1/2 off margaritas all day which was legit. We shared a chicken salad sandwich and they split it into two plates which was totally appreciated. Service was on point and happy hour is 3-5pm.

I haven't been to Liberty Bar since they moved to this location many years ago. The restaurant is located in a former convent, so it definitely has a unique atmosphere. Whether you are out for a casual meal with friends, or looking for a unique date night, this is the place for you. We had the falafel pita and the grilled portobello sandwich. The falafel pita, was just so-so. The falafel was a bit dry and was kind of on the bland side. However, the hummus and tabbouleh were both delicious. The portobello sandwich was amazing, and my mouth is watering now as I write this! The mushroom was grilled to perfection, and the toppings were all fresh and flavorful. The sauerkraut added a nice tangy touch, and the gruyere cheese was melted perfectly. I also had the potato salad, which was also great. It was creamy and flavorful, and it was the perfect side dish for the sandwich. Good food, great atmosphere, and great service.

Had lunch, ordered some specials. Not many guests, mostly people sitting at the bar. Service was extremely slow unfortunately, when we finally got orders in and food, the steak had an odd "freezer burn" taste like it was old. Had to send it back. They did take it off the bill, but charged for the sides it came with. Lol! First time for everything.

I like that this place has its own parking lot; always a plus when downtown. The interior is unique with a good blend of old and stylish furnishings. Good vibe inside with appropriate noise levels for conversing. Service is great! You're warmly greeted upon entering and we had no wait time. They have happy hour from 3 to 6 daily! On Thursday they have 1/2 price margaritas. The menu is extensive for any picky eater. There's so much to choose from. I finally settled on the handmade fettuccine with olive oil, thyme, and garlic. It was delicious! Very light and flavorful. We had ordered the calamari. It was rather bland; not what I would have expected for $17. Everything else was good and that made up for it. I want to come back and try their salmon encilantrado

What a cute spot! I've passed by this pink house on the corner several times, but never got around to trying it until recently. For some reason, I always assumed they just had drinks but they are a full-blown restaurant and bar. And the menu is extensive! We started with the meatball appetizer, and... these were maybe some of the best meatballs I've had. It was served in tomato sauce with toast and it was gone within minutes. The homemade fettuccine caught my eye, and I tried the Alfredo sauce and added shrimp. It was tasty and the shrimp were nice and big as well. For us, the drinks were a little hit or miss. We had a couple of beers on draft which were fine, but they weren't very cold. A friend ordered a Moscow mule and it was served in a glass and not a copper mug. However, I tried a cocktail called the Tango, and it was really good! It was a grapefruit & rosemary drink with tequila and aperol. Next time I come, I'd like to catch the happy hour and try some more appetizers on the menu as well.

Happy Hours is 5-6 and 10-Midnight every operating day. (Thursday- Monday)

    What is the parking situation?

We have spaces in the parking lot outside of the restaurant as well as a full lot across the street on S. Alamo. There is street parking in the neighborhood, as well.

Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, which is why I'm giving 3 stars. I ordered the veal Schnitzel with mushroom gravy (Jägerschnitzel) and red cabbage. The red cabbage was also very undercooked and completely lacked flavor. Overall, I personally did not find the food authentic or representative of true German cooking. What truly saved this experience was the outstanding customer service. Our server, Joseph, was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind throughout the meal. I also greatly appreciated Mr. Adam, the kitchen manager, who personally came out to discuss my concerns. He handled the constructive criticism with professionalism and openness, and I truly respected the fact that he listened carefully and considered my feedback regarding the sauce.
