We made a reservation online ahead of time and thank goodness we did because they were turning away walk-in's at the door. I started with a regular margarita with tajin on the rim. The margarita was very good! I was shocked when I didn't see an Aperol spritz on the menu because their menu online had one so it looks like they do rotate the hot girl menus. We both got individual Caesar salads and a bowl of truffle fries to share. The truffle fries came with a mayonnaise dip which made them to die for! The salad was very good as well. For my entrée, I ordered with spicy vodka pasta and added grilled chicken as an up charge. The pasta was not spicy. The entire dish was delicious and I'd definitely recommend ordering. THE PIZZA IS FANTASTIC!! We visited Chicago with our kids and were on a search for tavern style pizza. We couldn't get a table at the place we wanted to try. My husband found this spot via yelp and I'm so glad he did! The ambiance has more of a chic night out with friends or good spot to meet for a drink. READ THE BILL AND ADD IT UP Food was good, drinks were good, and service was decent, but the billing situation was shady. There were three of us, each ordering the $30 girls' dinner, which included an entrée and a drink. The menu stated you could add any cocktail for $15, and we specifically confirmed with our waiter before ordering that this applied to the Pornstar Martinis. Had we been told there would be an additional charge, we would not have ordered them. When the bill came, the numbers didn't add up. There was an extra $9 charge NOWHERE on the itemized receipt. When we confronted the waiter, he admitted they added it because the martinis contained more alcohol than a standard martini. We were never told about an upcharge, despite explicitly clarifying the price beforehand. Only after we called it out did they remove the $9 and discount one of our drinks. Adding undisclosed charges and only removing them when customers catch the discrepancy is unacceptable. It makes you wonder how often this happens to people who don't check their receipts. Double-check your bill! Makes it even more uncomfortable that they're advertising this as a girl dinner. Last night we came here for my friends Birthday. We had an amazing time and will absolutely be adding this establishment to our frequent flyer list of restaurants for date night or with friends. It's a bit dark but that was just to my liking, the music was melodic, and the service was exceptional! However, the food leaves much to be desired. We got the calamari and the tuna tartare and it's probably the only time I've ever ordered those two items at a restaurant and didn't finish them. The calamari was grainy? Came by with a friend for a nightcap. It was not too busy and we were able to grab seats up at the bar. Drinks were presented in a very unique way, almost like a miniature art exhibit. The spicy rigatoni was not very flavorful, let alone spicy and it came out colder than I prefer. The main issue was that one of my girlfriends found a pretty large bug is her drink. Just gross. We arrived at 7:13pm, we go in and the hostess tells us our table isn't ready and that she'll text when it is. We head back outside for another 15 minutes, no text. At about 7:35pm we head back inside to ask again, and they tell us it will be another 10 mins. (Remember reservation time was for 7:15). Then they offer us 5 seats at the bar, we just awkwardly sat there because obviously we were there for girl dinner and didn't want this to count as our one drink. I however needed a martini asap so ordered that for full price. We wait another 15 minutes at the bar. At around 7:55pm the hostess (maybe manager) came to get us to bring us to our table. She mentioned once about comped drinks (never came) and another about free dessert (which did come!) She took our drink order as we were sitting down, after about 10 more minutes (8:05) our actual server comes over only to realize the other woman had gotten our drinks and he just walked away. The food itself was okay but nothing to write home about and the service was below average once seated. Also random- we asked for boxes at one point, I had gotten a small personal sized pizza. I asked the server for a box and I kid you not he brought a XL pizza box. We couldn't help but laugh because common sense should've told you that was ridiculous, given the size of the pizza in front of me but damn was it funny.
