Ambiance amazing. My server, Carter went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable and was an absolute JOY! I was more disappointed with booking though. I wanted to get bottle service but didn't know you don't have to book a cabana for that. I wasted money on my cabana and no one during booking was knowledgeable or could communicate clearly with me how I should go about making my visit there the best it could be. Honestly, the vibes and service made up for it. Definitely fun and super lit for a weekend brunch read more

We grabbed a quick lunch today: service was good - the waitress was friendly and attentive. The drinks are a little strong - we got a blackberry mojito and a pina colada. The food was okay - chicken tasted old. We ordered the fried chicken mini sliders, burrata, and the elote salad. The best item we had was the burrata. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because I probably won't be back unless there's an event - the food was expensive and mediocre. Views are excellent - music is a vibe. read more

It's a vibe -- outdoor or slightly cooler 'indoor' seating right on the beach. DJ is keeping the energy upbeat. Food is what you'd expect at a beachside restaurant - sandwich/burgers, fries, salads and drinks. Ahí tuna bowl was decent. Cocktail flight of frozen drinks melted so quickly, the drinks were dripping from the tray when the waitress brought them to our table. Make sure you have Id. They do card at the door, and if you aren't 21, you cannot enter. Luckily our 19 y.o. We were good to go, since they were with us, otherwise, we would not have been allowed inside. read more

How can you go wrong with shore club Chicago? It's on the beach and has tropical decor. Love how it feels here. Good music and friendly service. We had an amazing experience. Food was great. Drinks were perfect. We had the steak tacos, Mykonos board, mojito watermelon salad and lots of drinks. Everything was delicious and filling. Pricey but it's to be expected for the ambience. Check them out. You'll love it !! read more

Had brunch at the Shore Club on First Avenue Beach in Chicago yesterday, and it was delish! My husband had the avocado toast and I had the chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were very good, but they had a little too much sauce for my taste. The atmosphere was fab with a beautiful view of the beach. The service was excellent, and the whole place had a really cute, fun vibe, with some zesty music. I would definitely recommend the Shore Club and will absolutely be back. I bet it's really hopping in the afternoon! read more

Shore Club Chicago - Taco chilchuilles & Avacado toast North Avenue Beach is behind us & looked great! - Lounges Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I came here for pre birthday celebration with some friends and it was a nice time. Right off north Ave beach so we had a nice view. We started out with drinks and ceviche but I don't remember the ceviche being a noteworthy part of my night. For my entree I ordered the steak tacos which was pretty good, no complaints there. We also ordered a flight of margaritas which was quite delicious. I will say the service at the front felt a bit like I was interrupting something like a vent session or something as one of the persons there felt very short with me when I mentioned I wanted to take photos. My waitress however was friendly and played never have I ever with us. I do think this is an ok place to celebrate occasions, I should have mentioned I was celebrating my birthday perhaps that would have lightened the mood with the other staff members. read more

They have excellent drink tasting fests here! I came to Sangria fest and it was so so fun with many different vendors sharing their drinks. Service here is great and they have sun beds you can use to enjoy your time at North Ave. They also have a patio. The space is open and light. Feels like youre in florida especially on hot summer days! Cant wait to be back when im at the beach. read more

ShoreClub was packed! Definitely the beach house restaurant go to for a beach outing with decent food and drinks! Great place for a beach and lunch outing! Located right on Lake Michigan off of North Avenue Beach sits ShoreClub. A great beach house restaurant. Plenty of seating from pub tables to round seating with, private patio reservations surrounding the beach restaurant. The views were astonishing! Sitting that close to a waterfront and enjoying a meal is something therapeutic about it and peaceful that you cannot buy! Hahah!! I promise! We ordered a grilled cheese for the kiddo and steak tacos for myself with a frozen mango margarita and frozen Strawberry daiquiri For my babydoll! Food was decent wouldn't rave about it but it definitely hits the spot! Drinks were strong and tasty! Service was great! Brittany our server was very polite and very suggestive to the menu. The Menu seemed pretty simple with sandwiches, tacos, burgers, noodles and cheese boards that looked appealing! The also had nice drink selections! Shore Club had lots & lots of traffic considering a holiday weekend it was packed! Not uncomfortably but busy rather. Still enjoyed our conversation space and service. Right after, BEACH TIME! Shore Club will be the spotlight for the summer! Check em out! read more

Came here for a wedding after party and the energy was fun, good for a day party. Food and drinks were pretty basic though, nothing memorable. The location is the best part, right on the lake with a great view. Solid for the vibe and the setting, but wouldn't go out of my way for the food or drinks. read more

For the ultimate Chicago beach vibes, this is the place. It's nestled right on North Avenue Beach so it's always hoppin'. They have indoor, outdoor and bar seating along with nice couch setups so you can relax even more. The food is fantastic and their menu has a great variety. The staff is also very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend a reservation on the weekends because they do get busy. read more

Shore club is located right in the middle of North Ave Beach, and is very popular during summers. We had booked the outdoor patio for lunch at around 3pm for a party of 6. Although we arrived early, we got a table on arrival. The weather was fantastic, and hence sitting outdoor was relaxing and we felt like we were in an actual beach city. If it's too sunny, you might feel hot if you sit outside. Loved the music that was playing in the background. In terms of food, we had ordered french fries and a Mezze platter for the table. I personally had a plate of blackened shrimp tacos. I had also ordered a fresh coconut which was refreshing. Others on the table had also called for Margaritas. My favourite was the shrimp taco. The mezze platter had a lot of variety and it was quite filling. Overall a very good experience. read more

Worth Every Star! I can't believe I never knew about North Shore Restaurant on the Beach until now! This place is truly a hidden gem and easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in the Chicago area. We visited for brunch on July 4th with a party of seven to celebrate both a birthday and Independence Day, and from the moment we arrived, everything was outstanding. The location is unbeatable--you're literally dining right on the beach with breathtaking views and a relaxed, vacation-like atmosphere. It feels like you've escaped to a coastal resort without leaving the city. Now for the food...WOW! Every dish was exceptional. The portions were incredibly generous, and the shrimp in the pasta were some of the biggest, most flavorful shrimp I've ever been served. The salmon was cooked perfectly, the French toast was absolutely delicious, and the charcuterie board was beautifully presented and perfect for sharing. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. The service was friendly, attentive, and helped make our celebration even more special. This restaurant has officially earned a spot on our must-visit list whenever we're in Chicago. If you're looking for amazing food, spectacular beach views, and a fun, relaxing atmosphere, don't miss this place. We can't wait to come back! read more

I finally tried Shore Club on a perfect summer day! My friends and I planned a lake plunge and had a reservation for lunch. I really liked the place--it's right by the beach club and has great outdoor seating with couches, chairs, and another section. It's perfect for a casual day with friends, and I even saw bridal parties celebrating bachelorettes! The service was quick, and the song selection was amazing. For drinks, we had the In Love with Coco, an espresso martini, and the Margarita Tree, which was the best, four flavors: mango, blackberry, classic, and strawberry. For food, we ordered fries, a mezze platter, and shrimp tacos. The mezze platter was huge and filling for a party of 4-5. I was really impressed with it. Prices are slightly on the higher side, but it's a perfect spot right by the beach. read more

The worst dining experience of our Chicago stay. Our server was withdrawn and the service went downhill the longer we were there. We had reservations for 10 a.m. on Sunday and it was dead when we got there, yet for some reason our ginormous mezze platter appetizer came out at the same time as our entrees . . . and the entrees were cold. I had the watermelon mojito salad and another person had the housemade tuna salad so at least those were supposed to be cold. But the baked french toast, two orders of beachside benedict and two orders of salsa verde chilaquiles were all cold. We all left disappointed with the entire experience. Yes, the view at Shore Club is pretty, but bad service from the back of the house to the front cannot make up for the debacle we encountered. read more

You're paying for the view and the vibes. The food was good, but the price point for the amount of food was a bit hefty. I got the blackened shrimp tacos (trio set) and didn't think they would be so small. I did have to get a side of fries to fill me up because I wasn't full just yet and the fries itself were about $9. We also ordered the frozen drinks and were a bit bummed because we were expecting them to be so small. For $15, I was under the impression that it would be in a taller and fuller glass. Overall, expect a hike in the price tag for 1. Its location/proximity to the beach 2. Beach club which is separate 3. The ambiance read more

Heavy on the 3 star. It's really cool looking in there. Vibe is cool. Nice lil beach situation and cool to take pics at but the food we had was kinda mid I fear. The tacos tasted like a Philly cheese steak and if that's what I was going for, then cool. But I wanted steak tacos. Chicken sandwiches which had feta needed a sauce. Something either sweet or spicy or a combo to balance the dryness of the fried chicken batter and the feta. Our server was great. I had my shoes off bc that's just me and one of the managers sternly asked me to put them back on and that irritated me but I mean that has nothing to do with my rating lmao just funny to share. Idk guys I'll never have to go back in my life The drinks were cool tho! read more

The place was crazy packed since most people were at the beach last weekend. Luckily, we had a reservation, though it looked like they were accommodating some walk-ins too. We opted for indoor seating--there were a few fans running, but they didn't do much against the heat. The service was solid. We started with frozen cocktails, which were refreshing and decent. For appetizers, we had the burrata with cherry tomatoes--simple but delicious. We followed that with the chicken mezzo platter, which was pretty standard but tasty. We also tried the lobster tacos. They were served cold, as mentioned, but I think I would have preferred them warm--hot lobster would've brought out the flavors more. read more

I came here last summer and while it was nice to enjoy a restaurant right on the shore, the food was not a hit. The drink flight was a fun concept, but not all of the drinks were enjoyable and the flavors did not blend well. The food itself also lacked flavor. Overall I was not a fan. read more

Came here for a day party for the air and water show. The buffet was good and it was unlimited drinks. Definitely worth it. But they charge us extra for a table, there's not enough table to accommodate all the people that bought tickets. Even when we bought a table, we didn't get a waitress or waiter. No one attended to us. It's a cute spot to grab drinks by the pool. Not sure how much things are, food are on their menu. But drink prices seems reasonable. read more

We swung by shore club for a nice summery brunch. We sat outside to enjoy the last few days of warm weather. The ambience is very beach and upscale, loved it. The server was very friendly and fast. We ordered the margarita tree, an espresso martini slushie (yes they exist and yes it was really good), a bunch of other cocktails, the maze platter and some fries. Left 5 minutes after walking in. Security was so friendly, hostess was fine, but the bartender was on a power trip. We noticed that they had coffee drinks and a frozen espresso martini on the menu. The bartender (with an attitude) told us to let him know if we had any questions. We decided to ask if he could make an espresso martini that isn't frozen... out of curiosity and we'd love to order one if that was an option! His response, while smacking his gum, was "no. we're a beach club, we don't specialize in martinis" EWWW! So nasty for literally no reason. Turned around and walked out, got sat at Castaways right away and they were happy to make us a regular espresso martini. This isn't South Beach... we're on Lake Michigan dude. The attitude was so disgusting that we'll never be back. read more

Booked a reservation on OpenTable and it didn't give any explanation to what we would be receiving upon arrival. We apparently bought an experience that came with a bottle of whispering angels and a platter we were under the impression that we booked at the oasis. So don't be confused when booking online. I would call shore club directly because they won't refund you or transfer the credit over to the club side. Which I also tried to do prior to booking and nobody answered lol the host team never checked us in and called us 4x while sitting. The food was blah. Fries were cold. Chicken sandwich tasted like the oil hasn't been changed in a long time. Drinks were not very tasty (likely use cheap mixing) BUT our server (I wish I remembered her name) SHE was lovely!! She will likely read this review and remember us haha thanks girl place is lucky to have ya read more

The indoor seating was a welcome break from the hot weather. The circulating fans really helped. Friendly staff. We ordered way too much food and had to get some to go boxes. Only issue was the bill. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the place, it was cute and had a decent vibe. However, I'm giving it 4 stars because the reservation package I paid for didn't feel like it was worth the cost. I paid around $260 upfront for a table reservation that included rosé and a mezze platter. Those items only totaled about $120 on the menu, so the value just didn't match the price. I was expecting more of an elevated experience--especially since we were celebrating a birthday. I was hoping for some extra touches or "bells and whistles," but it fell short in that regard. What made it more disappointing was seeing others walk in and get the same type of table without booking the experience, just ordering off the menu. That said, the food was good--the mezze platter was good, and the shore sandwich was a highlight and perfect for two people. The tower drinks were a bit too sweet for my taste. I'd definitely come back, but next time I'll skip the reservation package and just dine à la carte. And let's not forget the server- he was incredible! read more

Loved the vibes here. Such a cute spot I can't believe I never noticed it! They have a couple patio areas. One with mostly tables and the other with huge lounge chairs and bean bag Toss. The service was good. You have to have a reservation and show ID. The food was good too! My friend truly enjoyed her meal. I had mini tacos, which were a good size, but it just didn't feel like restaurant food. Still taste good but like my little cousin whipped up some tacos. In there defense I was trying to eat light that day. Maybe if I ordered a regular meal it would've been better. The drinks were delicious. We got the margarita flight. I loved being able to try different flavors and they were pretty strong. Since there were 3 I drank two while waiting and saved one for the meal. Will definitely be back read more

When you don't have many options on the beach, this is not bad. We ordered a few items, but the service was slow given how empty the place was. The worst part was the flies... They kept bugging our legs... The lobster mac & cheese was a 10/10! It's the unanimous best dish of the meal. The toast bread in both sandwich and French toast was too dry. Sweet potato fries were crispy but also hard. Also note there's a 18%-20% service fee added in the final bill. read more

This restaurant is super outdated with their technology. I ordered something on a computer system, it gave me a receipt # and took my name. I even selected print receipt. Well the servers never gave me my order. After waiting a long time, and seeing them give multiple people their orders, eventually I had to break it in to remind them of my tracking # and name. They looked through a trash can, and say they can't find my printed receipt or order #. So that means they have no way of looking up prior orders on their end. So, I left, paying $12.20 on Aug. 23-24. But how could I ask for a refund? If they can't find my actual order, then they would unable to give me a refund either. I think my order # was 235 or so. I think what happened is they accidentally pulled 2 receipts at once, and threw 2 receipts in the trash can together. So, I hope the company upgrades their computer system. read more

Was excited for months to visit shore club on a weekend trip to Chicago. The vip section looks a little different than the photos in ig but may still be worth it if you actually plan to stay for 1/2 a day. The outside staff at the entrance were super welcoming, fun and entertaining. Wish I could say the same for our waitress.
