Spruce Goose Blend. They no longer carry almond milk, they have replaced it with OAT milk! I heard goat milk the first time and was really happy! When I realized it was OAT not goat, I was extremely pleased! I have never had oat milk which goes very well with the espresso here. Latte espresso with oat milk please. Thank you. Delicious. read more

Great food and Spanish latte. Will definitely go back and eat there it was chill :) .........

Decent coffee but don't seem well staffed. Was 2nd person in line and had to wait 10 minutes for a latte since the barista was apparently also the cashier (more people came after I ordered). I would only come if you're going to stay a while. read more

So when I first moved from Northeast Los Angeles, one of the first things i started my search for was a coffee shop. I mean, there's a Starbucks less than a mile from my house which does the trick at times but I like the coffee house feel. It's the vibe, the space, the people (sometimes if they're extra hipster it's overkill) and most importantly the coffee. Lift was the first place I tried and it's parked in probably the trendiest looking part of town in Uptown Whittier. Lift takes its name from some type of aviation concept I believe as there is a large airplane piece featured in the back of the Whittier space. This place is huge and it has that rustic modern feel with a large stainless steel looking piece that is the bar separating customers from employees. The vibe is great, music not too loud but not too soft and there are plenty places to sit quietly and drink a cup of coffee and work. The people are friendly and the menu is simply. I ordered a coffee, nothing fancy because if you can't make a good cup of coffee then what are you there for?! Woo. The coffee is good. At first it kicked like it was going to be very strong but actually it turned so smooth like it almost was refreshing! So to sit down on a comfy space and drink a great cup of coffee and you can people watch! Oh. This is my go to coffee house! read more

My favorite coffee shop within the Whittier, Santa Fe Springs, & La Miranda area. I always order an iced vanilla latte with breve. No matter who the barista is, it always taste amazing! You can order over the phone now too! read more

Staff is friendly and space is nice. I tried to like the drinks here...but I've gone 3 times and every time the espresso is burnt. I've ordered several types of drinks, and always burnt. Hopefully baristas can get trained to pull shots for decent espresso drinks. read more

Stopped by here on my way to Ontario after I found them on Yelp. The store had just opened when I stopped by. Pastries weren't set up, no one was there except the barista/cashier. Ordered a Vanilla latte and a Nutella pop tart. Portola Coffee really has spoiled me because no one can come close to them. Thanks for playing though, Lift. I will say the airplane decor was cool but you can tell this place is a hipster place during the day. moving on... read more

First time trying it, I got two drinks the vanilla iced latte and caramel iced latte with cbd in it. It was a great first time experience the barista was on it while it got packed and was getting good drinks out fast. The atmosphere was more trendy and had a LA theme to it. Definitely worth a try. read more

Jillian is the best :) I love this place! The best thing is that they make their syrups in house, good job!

Drinks are super yummy and the vibe is amazing, love it here. The workers are also very attentive and sweet.

Great coffee but very slow service. The barista are nice but don't have a sense of urgency.

Best chai tea! They are so friendly and fast with the order. Definitely will recommend and come here when in town.

It's hard to miss here. I stop by when I'm in the area. Big open space if you want to meet up with friends or coworkers. My go to order is the cappuccino, but I honestly haven't ordered something that I didn't enjoy. Since I'm a glutton I also can't resist their pastries. This place is high quality all around and I recommend you stop by and try it out. Cheers read more

First time customer, cute atmosphere, but I just waited 30 minutes for one drink. The place did not look crowded and I didn't even have to wait in line to order. Perhaps phone orders take precedent? I'm confused and disappointed because the actual drink is good! Bummer-was just not the vibe. read more

Was looking for RIZE KITCHEN but have no idea where it is located. Arrived at Lift coffee due to a review left on RIZE Kitchen page. Either way, Lift coffee Roasters had what I needed. We rarely go to Uptown Whittier but this place is worth the trip. The coffee is really great. I ordered a latte with soy milk. You can taste the difference between this place and Starbucks. The only negative thing is it takes a long time to get your order. I've gone in a few times when I've been the only one there and it's taken about 20 minutes for my order to be ready. There is plenty of room to sit with a friend or a bigger group of people. They also have good customer service. I highly recommend this place! read more

We found Lift Roasters after searching for a small business with great coffee! Staff is friendly, nice and helpful... we have made this a Sunday tradition outing! **Side note to customers and staff of Lift ... I left my purse (cash, wallet, all the good stuff) and someone turned it in and the staff held it for me!!! Thank yo for saving my "life" behind the counter and providing awesome coffee, goodies and service!! read more

Life has the best chai tea lattes (hot or cold) and their breakfast burritos are always on point. It's a cute little shop with a lot to offer and a good spot to get some studying or work done. But just to backtrack a little, NEVER leave there without a burrito. read more

Love this little coffee shop. It's local so I can walk to it, stop and grab a cup, or chill for a bit. Only thing is that a lot of other people like it too so inside seating can be a challenge. I find it nice to grab a cup and then take a walk through uptown or go for a stroll through Central Park with a friend. read more

I love it here! I come on Sunday's morning and the baristas who makes my coffee. Makes it with lots of love! Today the girl ( talk, curvy & peekaboo blonde low lights) who made my Spanish Latte disappointed me. It's wasn't strong enough & way to much oat milk. I honestly feel she concentrating on running her mouth more than making the customers coffee. I stood there watching her do so. For an $8 cup of coffee especially during these times I expect more. read more

I always get an almond milk latte with a dash of rudeness from the one guy with glasses taking orders. I must admit It is the best almond milk latte around so maybe the rudeness is the secret ingredient. I wonder how younger women like their coffee without rudeness because they don't seem to get any. They are missing out though because guy with glasses definitely doesn't give them any disinterested service or short and terse responses so must not be getting as good of a latte as I am! Thanks guy with glasses for the great drinks but you should also serve them to the younger ladies like that! read more

WiFi, coffee, food and study area. What else can you ask for ! Great study/work environment.

This cafe was the perfect location to work on a Saturday morning. It was industrial aviation style that made you want to stay. The killers and some hardcore playing in the background didn't hurt either. The baristas were knowledgeable and friendly. I'm usually not huge on lattes, but I finished this one completely it was so delicious (with a shot of vanilla). The blueberry lemon scone I also highly recommend! read more

Coffee is good... they just need to put some pep in their step- only go when you have time to spare.

Upon arriving, i was thrilled to come back to the coffee shop i spent years at while earning my education. The atmosphere has completely change and it was like walking through memory lane which was very nice however, i was one of the first customers on a Saturday morning and felt like the new staff member opening up was bothered that i arrived at the opening hour. I tried to ignore it but when i asked questions about recent changes and questions about the coffee, she still made me feel as if i was bothering her. She then mentioned that she has only been working there for two weeks it. In the past i have always received awesome customer service. Whittier is my home and i have always supported the small businesses in my community but seeing how the new staff member ester made me feel, i do not think i will be returning to Lift. read more

I did really like this place. We went early around 6:20-6:30 on a Sunday. There was a really really nice gentlemen working there who helped us decide what to try since it was our first time. I got a hot latte while my other half got the pour over coffee. We shared a pastry but I don't remember was it was called. The drinks were delicious but the pasty was amazing! I want to say it was a cinnamon crunch type pastry. I wish I could remember cause I'd love to get it again. Overall I love the inside look and feel of this café. it has a home like vibe that's very welcoming. Though one of the first things I noticed as we walked towards the counter to order was how open and different the back looked. Its basically an entire view of their kitchen behind the counter. No doors to hide it nor does it fit in with the lobby/seating area. It stands out as a basic industrial kitchen. The menu feels a bit hidden. Its above the counter connected to the ceiling and kind of dark because of all the lighting the kitchen exposes from behind it. We ordered and we sat down on there bar height tables. Then I noticed the bar looking area on the right side of the café. A real bar... with alcohol lol. To be very honest it just feels out of place. Really the décor could go either entirely with a café or entirely with a bar but definitely not both. A couple had came in after us I'm assuming to order food because she didn't walk up to the counter to order like we did, she went to a small host/hostess stand near the door. The man who had helped us had let her know that they were serving food at the moment so they ended up leaving. Now originally I thought this was a café... but looks like its a café, bar, restaurant, and with its own pizza oven. To me its just everywhere. I feel like there trying to too much in one location. My experience with the café, which is what I went for, was great. As for the other 'options', its just not for me when I'm visiting a café on my Sunday morning. read more

Not the greatest of places. Coffee is ok and the service very very slow. You can find better coffee shops in the immediate area.

The door was open and the lights were on three people were there and they turned me away saying they opened at8. serve me because they open at 8. I walked back to my car and drove off I looked at the time it was 758 how stupid they had the means to serve me and they let me walk out Teachable moment. Bad customer service. read more

This place should easily have 5 stars. The baristas are great and, when allowed to actually make good coffee, the place is terrific, and something unique in Whittier. But it would appear that Lift is being held back by decisions made by management. When this spot first opened they offered pour overs. Anyone who has had a pour over will realize that this is the way coffee can and should taste. You'll realize why coffee shops, outside of Starbucks and Coffee Bean, exist. Whittier has never had this. Until Lift. A few weeks after removing them from their original menu pour overs were quickly put back in the menu. Until two weeks ago, when then decision was made to up the price to a laughable $7/ cup of coffee. Now once again, they're off the menu. So is this like a Starbucks Trojan horse? Lift appears to be a boutique coffee shop. The owner has put tons of effort into the aesthetics of this place and it's a great place to meet with friends and work. I'm here pretty consistently and have spread the word to see real friends and colleagues. But if all it offers is drop coffee and a cool, industrial, hip vibe, then what is it? A "coffee roaster" that sells speciality bags of whole bean coffee but doesn't offer the customer the option of enjoying the experience of tasting those beans the way they're meant to be tasted makes no sense what so ever. I encourage the owner to unleash the potential of this place. Let the baristas do their thing. Let the substance match the style. Just don't charge $7 for it. read more

I've went twice within a span of 3 months and both times they messed up my order and gave me something different. I've never done a review because it's not fair to the restaurant(I've worked in fast food) . I know we have bad days but as fairly new customer to receive my order twice wrong within 3 months is not good service. I asked for the types of breads they have and the response I got in return is vegan/gluten free ,nothing else what am I supposed to do with that. read more

This place has a very calm ambiance to it. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the coffee. Plus it's not small or crowded like other coffee shops. It's spacious. My barista was Melanny. I'm now in my office enjoying this latte. read more

Waited over 20 mins and never got our drinks. Also, pretty nuts that they charge you a "service fee" when you place your own order on a tablet and they still ask for a tip on the last screen. Almost $13 for 2 drinks. No thanks. Asked for a refund and left. read more
