Get a little pep in your step and a little slide in your glide. This roasters shop is taking you nation wide. Giving you that jolt and lift to start your day off and sending you buzzing off like a busy little bee. Decor is definitely trending, rustic urban with a hipster feel. Plenty of seating with a couple of leather couches and a few lazy boys for one to get cozied up with a body soothing cup of java or tea. Breakfast is also served if you want a little more than just pastries or a sugar craving. The atmosphere is upbeat but also work friendly. I ordered the vanilla bean latte which I thought was pretty darn delish! Not too sweet and just the right amount of love poured in. The baristas were decent and efficient throughout the rush hour. Complimentary WiFi keeps this spot up and poppn. That's my take on this uptown coffee spot. Peace... read more

Picked up some pastries from here. One was a vegan (?) spicy and savory hand pie that was all right, but the one that will have me coming back again and again is the kouign-amann. It's stored sugar-side down, unfortunately, which makes out lose its crunch, but it's still delicious...far better than any other one I've found in the area (not that there are a lot). read more

I love the Spanish Latte. Looking forward to trying their other drinks and burritos. Chilaquiles burrito? Steak burrito? Breakfast to dinner menu items!!! Ambiance is nice. Mid-day, quiet and nice place to study. Dog friendly! Service is nice. There's also a kiosk to place your order, too. Located in Uptown Whittier, nice area with other stores to shop and explore. Public parking spaces nearby or (free) street parking. read more

It was about $8.59 without tip to add vanilla syrup & foam to the top. I opted for a 12oz just to give it a try. Undoubtedly, the matcha had a strong fish flavor even with the sweetener so I ended up tossing it. However, I see several other people walk out the same thing so I would recommend simply giving it a try. Overall not a bad place, they have good seating and a calm ambiance. I would recommend coming in if you have some time to spare, the wait time widely varies. I always just assume it will take at least 20 minutes to get my drink if I'm planning to make the trip. (not always the case) the workers are friendly and efficient. read more

I've been here twice. Pastries are super good! I would highly suggest trying them. The drinks have all been equally as good as well. I got the Spanish latte and then sea salt latte. You can order via person or by iPad kiosk. They let you customize everything! Ambiance is superb here. If you're looking for kind of an Australian chill vibe, this is a good spot. Service is kind of hit or miss. The first time I came here, the two guys who were helping me were super nice and really brought great energy to the space. The second time I came here, those two guys weren't around and service felt kind of lacking tbh but overall was fine. Overall, great space to chill and lots of cool shops and unique stores to check out nearby. Also parking is completely free and easy to find. read more

Have been coming to Lift for a couple of years now at least twice a month only for their burritos. Their burritos are great. Their staff has always been on top of things even though it may take them a while to make drinks or burritos. After the tragic event with their food truck explosion things have changed for the worse unfortunately. The place looks very lackluster and the staff has changed somewhat. Today I was unlucky to have a terrible experience where a customer arrives at the store after I placed an order for a burrito and places a large order of burritos. After 20 minutes of waiting I am approached by a staff member to tell me they no longer have burritos. A lot of actions could have been taken to remedy or even prevent this situation but after coming here for so long I can't help but feel like clients are not valued here. Whittier is growing with more businesses that will value each client. read more

Cute coffee shop in downtown Whittier that my brother recommended me to check out. There were some drinks on the menu that I didn't recognize and the barista was super patient and sweet to explain it all to me. I went with the iced honey latte, which was delicious! I loved the actual taste of honey, and the coffee was good. I needed to do some work so I was able to use their WiFi which was very reliable and there were lots of seating options. The natural lighting was really nice and I loved how spacious the whole coffee shop was. Parking is super easy, there's lots of 1-2 hour street parking around. It was also the weekday so maybe that's why parking was easy, so not sure on weekends. Overall, loved it and I'll definitely be back! read more

If you like funko pops, the supreme box logo, edgar haircuts, and fortnite this place is for you. Which is why my 12 year old nephew loves this place. If I want a 6$ cortado now, I go to Local Fixture. This place is ran by a person with low moral standards and the loss of Rise Kitchen has also been a loss of several loyal customers. read more

Great pastries and amazing customer service. The savory cheese filled croissants are a bomb. The almond croissants too.

Such a cute coffee shop with so many small businesses inside where you can shop at while waiting g for your coffee.

Lift is such a cute spot to grab coffee, study or catch up with friends. The ambience is friendly with the colorful decor and plants to liven the place up. Customer service is great along with their drinks! I ordered a seasonal drink: Pumpkin spice Latte and it was very delicious. The menu also offers other seasonal drinks, pastries and their original menu. read more

LFTD - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Whittier, California

We came here on a Saturday morning. There were two kiosks for self-ordering and one open register to order with a barista. We went for the kiosk cuz there was no line. & I did my usual Yelp check in as we were ordering. To my surprise, there was a $1 discount for checking in. Yay! But there was no code or anything so I wasn't sure how to apply it to our kiosk order. So we asked a barista behind the counter, and she told us to go to the open register and not to use the kiosk. So we cancelled our order on the kiosk and went to the register. The barista was the same one who told us to go there.. we presented our Yelp check in, and she had trouble finding a button to apply it on her end. She asked another barista, who then said "oh, that was from the old owner.. we don't do that anymore." Soo that was pretty frustrating. We canceled our kiosk order to go to the register (there was now a line forming behind us), and they wouldn't even honor our discount, so we lost our original place in line just to pay the same price. Not to mention that they were severely understaffed, so it took us over 20 minutes to get our drinks. I got a half sweet Spanish latte, and he got a cappuccino. My drink was still way too sweet, but he enjoyed his. Overall, meh experience. Would definitely try another coffee place if we're in the area next time. read more

Beautiful inside atmosphere, enough tables and seating for a quick stop or for those studying. They have self serve water and a grab n go cooler. Cold brew tasted clean, no acidic or pungent after taste and they also serve kava house made syrup. If you're into cbd they have a lot to offer whether in your drink or in the bottled/canned drinks. They also have bakery items, waffle, crepes, etc. read more

This family owned coffee shop offers the best lattes in Uptown. I love the vibe and friendliness of the employees.

All I can say is, "Their Burrito's!" It's One of the best or the best breakfast burrito I've ever had!! The line is usually out the door. Don't be a typical Californian and be patient! They do take time to come out, but they are worth the wait!! read more

The two baristas with mustaches are... amazing lol. They're not pretentious nor are they creepy. If you're looking for some good coffee in the area, this is the place. Coffee was not great. Not worth it. I feel like the coffee is really cheap and too much sugar you cannot enjoy the actual flavor. It also gave me the worst headache after. read more

With the coffee being decent at best, this review comes from a recent risk Lift decided to take and failed. As a frequent customer, you'd notice that not to long ago they took on a kitchen and started preparing breakfast inside the location itself for consumers to have a choice on whether they wanted to purchase actual food instead of a stale bakery treats from their window. I was ready to forget Lift altogether considering there's a hundred other coffee places in uptown and Lift is definitely not worth the price; I then found myself trying out the breakfast kitchen and was completely impressed. I soon found myself and family going at least once to two times a week just to stop in. This recent visit, I noticed unfamiliar faces and told that they were "trying something new." Figured I'd try something too. Awful. Quality isn't the same, ingredients are subpar, and the wait has doubled. I went back again today and still see the change has been made permanent and the manager was now preparing half @$$ breakfast burritos. I'm sure the business decision came from the wrong place, a place to try and save you guys money; but I really hope the risk you took sticking with a in house kitchen rather than the actual good one that was bringing you business shows that your over priced coffee and loud atmosphere is not enough. Disappointing. read more

Delicious coffee! I love that they offer a short latte; I'm sure you can order it at most coffee shops but I appreciate that it's listed on their menu. It's a latte with 8 oz of milk, aka less milk and more espresso flavor. They have several milk alternatives, including oat and hemp. My short latte with oat milk was amazing. It was the perfect balance of coffee and milk. When we arrived at 10am on a Sunday, there was a lone ham and cheese croissant in the pastry case. I was hoping for more pastry options, and the case is rather small, but I guess I'll have to hop on over earlier on my next visit to snag a treat. They do have several containers and flavors of Modern Oats. We bought the Coconut Almond and Dark Chocolate Cherry ones. Our barista asked whether we'd like it with hot water or steamed milk, and we went the oat milk route, which I'd HIGHLY recommend! I'm not typically an oatmeal fan but there was something about the large oatmeal flakes and the add-ins of coconut shreds and slivered almonds that blended so beautifully with the creamy oat milk. The chocolate chunks melted in the steamed milk and made for a sweet breakfast treat. I would most definitely recommend either flavor as your breakfast go-to here. There are only four tables for outdoor seating; indoors they have a large, industrial-style space that seems like the perfect place to hang out, once COVID restrictions lighten up. They have the classic, high-quality coffee shop feel: minimalistic, unique lighting, wood and white furniture, with a sprinkling of pretty plants. This store is located in such a cute downtown. Grab a cup of coffee and walk the tree-lined streets, or snag a bag of beans to enjoy at home. read more

The place stays full. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They have kiosks to order your drinks and pastries or whatever you are ordering. Staff will help you at the register as well. The coffee is good. I've had the Spanish Latte and it's pretty good. The drip coffee was a little bland for my taste but not bad. Pastries are OUTSTANDING. First time visiting with my sister to get coffee and food to pair with it. We ordered the brown sugar latte which was good, nothing special and a breakfast sandwich to share. 40 minutes later to get one sandwich that was definitely not worth the the wait and $12 for a lousy breakfast sandwich (FYI sandwich contained an egg and bacon jam?). A lot of customers waiting for food orders and the cook looked like it was his first time cooking. Definitely no structure or food handling/management experience since none of them washed their hands once or wore gloves when handling food. Really gross. Definitely would not recommend food. As for coffee, it's mediocre but at least we were able to get our drinks within the first 20 minutes. read more

20 minute wait for a mediocre latte and drip coffee. This is a bit crazy. First and last time I'm visiting Lift Coffee.

Honestly I'm not a big coffee guy. But their customer service alone deserved 5 stars. I always walk in and tell them how caffeinated I want to be and how I want the drink to taste. And they always make it right! (I have no idea what I actually order ) read more

I stopped by here because I needed yet another caffeine boost. Being a career student and med nerd, you need all the caffeine you can get! I found parking along the street, less than a block away. I walked in to this spacious coffee shop. I checked out my options, but decided to stick to the basics in the end: and iced Americano. I made a quick pit stop while I waited for my drink. I found this place to be clean. The staff was friendly, and got my order in a timely manner. I added some honey to my coffee, and sat down to catch up on emails and messages. The vibe here is pretty chill. It was busy when I came here, but I was able to find seating nonetheless. A good place to chat with friends over a cup of joe. read more

Hitting up yet another coffee shop called Lift Coffee Roasters.... located in Uptown Whittier on Greenleaf and Bailey. It's an great coffee shop with some latte art. I usually get my usual called hot mocha.... (with latte art obviously). As I got my drink, I went and sat on the furniture and relax. I started to drink my hot mocha.... it was heavenly good. I've been to Lift only a few times, and each time, I would get a text saying my drink is ready, and then I would pick it up at the front counter. Anyways, I order my drink, sat down at a table, and started on my work. I got a text saying my order is ready. I walk up to the front, and didn't see a drink there. I got a little confused just in case they changed the drink pick up area. So I asked the barista "this is where you pick up the drinks right?" just for some clarification. And she told me "I will call out your name when it's ready" in a rude tone. Like relax!! I'm just confused and wanted to ask you a question! read more

I live down the street and Lift was a daily ritual for me for months. Unfortunately now I'm done. The Supreme rebrand was annoying but I put it in the back of my mind until my last visit. Waiting in line I had the pleasure of hearing the owner lecture his workers for not "creating" more when on the clock. These baristas are slammed during their shift and ALWAYS keep the line moving and make time for regulars. They work hard and don't deserve to have their flow interrupted to listen to their boss give a "hustle mindset" speech about why HE is successful. How are you going to lecture two teenage girls about their work ethic when you're directly responsible for the downturn in quality and guest experience at your own restaurant? Completely turned off, ain't going back read more

The coffee is always tasty, never burnt. The burritos are huge and delicious - the chilaquiles one in particular is my fave - and are such a great local breakfast option. The interior has some cool art, and is lit rather dimly (that being a pro or con is up to you). I miss the really cool gold-painted logo on the windows/door from a while ago. Overall, would recommend. read more

What a great place to come and have coffee. Plenty of seating inside and some seating outside. They have alot of random things to buy as far as snacks, Easter baskets , and some articles of clothing. Wish I didn't have breakfast at home because they have breakfast that look so savory and yummy. I saw something with spam and Hawaiian bread. Cool hang out spot forsure. read more
