Such a cute place I'm uptown whittier! I got the strawberry matcha with soy and really enjoyed the foam at the top. Place was clean and spacious with lots of seating, and service was fast despite all the orders that were being placed. Will come back to try more!
Cool music, local art, and a graffiti wall in the bathroom (bring a pen). The breakfast burritos? Legendary. Blue flour tortillas that are chewy, warm, and stuffed to perfection. The steak burrito is fire, the classic with bacon hits every time... and yes, a CHILAQUILES burrito exists and it slaps. The coffee? Chef's kiss. Perfectly roasted, bold but balanced, and their espresso drinks are artisan-level--smooth, rich, and crafted with care. They've got the good ice (IYKYK), so your iced latte game is strong. Pro tip: order ahead--weekend waits get long, but trust me, so worth it.
I'm a huge matcha girly and am always in Whittier so figured why not - I've come here a few times now and although I started to like their specialty drinks, this last time I paid TWENTY FOUR DOLLARS for 2 matchas....I've ordered the exact thing online and it comes out to $14. I asked the worker if it was a mistake because we got the smallest sizes and nothing special but she said their online prices are wrong? So you're telling me a 12oz matcha is $12...I don't even pay anything near that at the top tier matcha spots in LA. I was so close to leaving a stronger review but overcharging customers is not okay :(
I'm the #1 breakfast burrito hater, not because I don't like them but because none of them meet my expectations. The breakfast burritos here are SO good that I will def be driving 30 minutes to have this Chorizo burrito going forward. The coffee is delicious as well, and the staff is super helpful and friendly!
Decided to come try their Strawberry matcha 7/10, cafe de Olla for my love 7/10 & a steak burrito $18 pretty small , didn't taste hash browns, very little steak & plenty off egg,no balance for being called a steak burrito. 7/10& red salsa was mid. Service was a 10/10 coming in greeted instantly! Ambience is smooth!
I can see why the burritos here are so popular. My friend ordered the chorizo burrito and I ordered the vegan burrito. Both of them were so decadent, delicious, and filling.
They are back!!! New hours too. Closed Wednesdays for now. Seems like the community missed this place cause it was packed. We ordered their cold brew and Iced Honey Latte 10/10!
Lift Coffee in Whittier is truly a gem! Every time I come here, I'm reminded why it's one of my favorite spots. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and intention behind everything they do -- from the way the drinks are crafted to how spotless and clean the entire place is. They've consistently maintained a high standard, and it shows. I've tried almost everything on the menu, and not once have I been disappointed. Each item is made with quality and love, and it really comes through in the taste. The Honey Sea Salt Matcha is hands-down my favorite the perfect balance of flavors and incredibly smooth. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out. What really sets Lift apart, though, is the team. The manager and staff are always kind, welcoming, and helpful. You can tell they genuinely care about the customers and creating a positive atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you feel like more than just another order you feel like part of the community. If you're in Whittier, don't miss out on this place. Lift Coffee is the real deal.
A cute coffee shop aesthetic. Baristas are welcoming and sweet. The Honey Graham Latte is a must try. Visit this cute coffee shop post run/workout in the early mornings!
Cute coffee shop with a cozy vibe perfect for chilling with a friend when you've got time to linger . Staff was super friendly. Grabbed a 12oz Cinnamon Sugar LIFT coffee for about $7.50, which was solid, not mind-blowing. The chorizo burrito took forever--25-30 minutes--so I had to canceled, but they refunded me quick. Order ahead next time, folks. Great atmosphere, just need faster service. I'd go back give it another chance.
I love this coffee! Such a cute and casual place with a nice vibe. Everything I've gotten on the menu has been great and they're always so kind and helpful here. I love Lift!
Lift Coffee Roasters in Uptown Whittier is one of my favorite local spots. The atmosphere is warm, modern, and perfect for getting work done or catching up with friends. The breakfast burrito was seriously one of the best I've had--flavorful, filling, and wrapped in their signature blue flour tortilla. Even though I didn't get a photo of it, trust me, it's worth ordering. I did snap a pic of my pistachio croissant and coffee--both were excellent. The croissant had a rich pistachio flavor and perfect flaky texture, and the coffee was smooth and strong, just how I like it. Service was fast and friendly, and everything I tried tasted thoughtfully made. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to.
Iced Matcha Latte with vanilla cold foam. The matcha tastes very authentic flavor! Service was great! It does get busy, so you need to be patient. Friendly staff. The ambience is great! They serve hot/cold foods... pastries, and regular drinks. They have difference coffee flavors. They have an area with clothes for sale. The wall mural is pretty cool very different pictures and wall decor.
pros: - the lavender had a floral taste and bits so maybe it was homemade? - matcha was tasty but could've been more potent - cool mushroom disco - great atmosphere cons: - higher prices than other places ($6 for 12 oz matcha before tip/adjustments) - difficult to find parking - could have used maybe one more matcha scoop or a half ? overall i think it was a nice place to study but def on the pricier side read more

Easy and free street parking on weekday mornings / afternoons . Yummy iced lattes , they have decaf espresso if you are like me and naturally caffeinated already lol ! Friendly service with a smile , even though it was a little slow . Funky fresh interior decorating and they have a drink case with a wide selection if you come with any non-coffee drinking friends . Cute little outdoor section and located in downtown Whittier with some good eats and shops near by . My decaf latte with almond milk was 7.33 , which I found a bit pricy . It was tasty tho , so you decide if it's worth it to you . They also have a kitchen with food that looked pretty legit . Would come back again :) read more

Great vibes, very welcoming and great service! I was visiting from out of town and found this hidden gem by looking up vegan breakfast options. Although I loved the vegan burrito, I also loved the lavender latte w almond milk from Lift. So good that I went back the next day & with the great suggestion from the gentleman who took my order I got the jasmine unsweetened iced tea!!! Once I took a drink the same kind gentleman at the register asked me how I liked it! Definitely a thumbs up & a must when I go back to the area! read more
Lift is a hidden treasure! The coffee is delicious and they have many variations to offer and can meet dietary restrictions. Love that the owners stayed true to their vibe and style. The community vibes are immaculate and I love the artwork and thrifted items rack. The star for me is the chilaquiles burrito, I know you're probably thinking I am crazy cause that's tortillas in a tortilla, but its so much more complex than that. The flavors are so damn good, after your first bite, you'll fall in love. Definitely a shareable portion, just ask them to cut it in half. Enjoy! read more

love the place I wish the coffee tastes better tho. I got a iced caramel latte. It was good coffee but way too strong for me. The cashier was super nice and gave me a great recommendation of an almond croissant. read more
Stopped by here after a hike at Turnbull Canyon, I desperately needed my morning coffee so we stopped by here. I don't live in Whittier so I'm not familiar with the quality of coffee in the area but to say I was disappointed is an understatement. Coffee is just really bad quality, the service was mediocre as well. The only redeeming quality is the location and convenience factor. I got a latte with a little bit of vanilla and oat milk and it should suffice to say that I could still taste the bitterness of the overly roasted beans. This is all I could bring myself to drink and I opted to drive 30 minutes towards home to get a decent cup of coffee instead. If this coffee does the trick for Whittier residence then so be it but if you know good coffee, save your money and time. read more
Such a cool & vibe-y modern cafe! Operates as a hub-like atmosphere for coffee, food, & merchandise (including plants & artwork) from local businesses. The music is great and there seemed to be ample seating. This is definitely a place you'd wanna sit down for some time hanging with some people, but also a place to get some work done. I got the Purple Rain drink with oatmilk from the coffee side & the spam and egg breakfast sandwich from the cafe side. I think it was a good combo, though since I asked for an extra shot of espresso maybe I should've had it in a bigger cup (I also sometimes like my flavored lattes on the creamier side) so that the coffee didn't overwhelm the ube flavor. The sandwich on hawaiian bread came with a salad, and with the coffee it was a good blend of sweet & savory. The spicy mayo was the right amount of spice, but I felt like it didn't totally complement the sandwich itself. That may just be a personal preference though. Overall a great place that I'd recommend and come back to if I find myself in the area again. One thing I'll note is that parking is a bit rough, it's on a slightly busy street (at least, crowded) so you might have to park and walk a bit. read more

Hands down this spot has the best matcha! I love their lavender matcha especially. From the artsy decor, to friendly staff and delicious coffee/tea, Lift will easily steal your heart. This has become a regular coffee spot when we are in the Whittier area. Perfectly located on Greenleaf, it's nice to grab a coffee and walk around to check out all the cute shops nearby. The coffee shop also has a nice collection of plants and planters for sale. They also offer a good selection of food and although I've never tried it, I've see several people stop in to eat. I'll definitely have to try the food on a future visit! Their pastries are also always very tempting. read more

Lift has become my regular coffee spot in Uptown. I've been coming here at least once a week for the last two months to work and its really grown on me. The staff is young, very relaxed and genuine with each customer. I don't think they have the best coffee I've ever had, but the pastries that they're paired up with are fresh and extremely tasty. My go-to is a hot vanilla latte and it never fails to satisfy when paired with the almond croissants they always carry in the case. A sleeper they have is the homemade apple pie pop tart. You gotta try it! read more

This is my first time here and I think it will probably be my last. This coffee shop is located in downtown Whittier at the corner of Greenleaf and Bailey Street. There is street parking, but it can get full pretty quick. I noticed the decor is very cute with a modern red brick, open floor concept with a prop plane decor. Here's my major complaint. The employees are poor at communicating that your drink is ready. I waited about 20 mins while foot traffic was slow, walked up to the counter 3 times and didn't see my drink there before the emplyees told me that my drink had been sitting on the counter by the register for over 15 mins. They proceed to ask me to taste my drink to see if it was cold and if so, they could make me another one. Yes, my drink was luke warm and yes, you should probably re-make my open lid drink with other customers huddling around it. Even after the second drink they had made me, ( which they had to ask me to repeat my order), it came out luke warm, very unflavorful and bland. I would have rather went to Starbucks. It's $4.00 for this 12 oz. latte and I'm not going to lose sleep over it. However there are so many better coffee shops in this area to choose from. There were three employees and all of them appeared moving very slow and busy chatting with customers then to make coffee orders. Maybe they were tired today when I walked in I'm not sure. Thanks but no thanks for future visits. read more

It was a splendid Saturday morning in Whittier, California. My wife, in her wisdom, pulled me away from work, which, admittedly, I should cease doing on weekends. But, as anyone in real estate would attest, it's a demanding gig. I'm ever so grateful she did. We took our adorable grandchild Ava for a stroll to Uptown Whittier, ending up at a charming coffee shop named Lyft. As I sat there, waiting for our order, I couldn't help but soak in the atmosphere. This place has a certain allure: murals adorning the walls, an array of art pieces, clothing racks with items for sale, and scattered seating amidst what appeared to be wood plank floors. It's an inviting space for people to gather and engage in conversation. And just as I pen these words, our order is announced. Now, let's talk about the coffee. I opted for a 16-ounce iced pumpkin spice latte with oat milk and a double shot for that extra kick. My wife chose the same but without the additional caffeine boost. About 15 minutes passed, and our breakfast burritos were still in the making. The delay, it seems, was due to the two diligent chefs in the kitchen, meticulously preparing these burritos from scratch. Despite the lengthy queue and this establishment being quite the hidden gem, I found myself content to wait. The moment of truth arrived 30 minutes in. The food was definitely worth the wait. The classic breakfast burrito was a revelation. The chefs' dedication to their craft shone through - the scrambled eggs were a delight, fluffy and bursting with flavor. Spread generously over the tortilla, they were accompanied by roasted peppers, bacon, and mozzarella cheese. The tortilla, intriguingly infused with spirulina, was a novel touch for me, resulting in a light, tasty, green-and-brown delight. Unlike typical breakfast burritos that are often potato-heavy, this one struck a perfect balance of meat, savory spices, and those perfectly seasoned eggs. On a scale of one to ten, this burrito easily scores a ten, and the restaurant, a resounding four. I highly recommend you visit this place; it certainly won't disappoint. But, a fair warning: great restaurants with exceptional food sometimes struggle with timely service. Their success is, paradoxically, their Achilles' heel. Be prepared for a wait due to the bustling crowd and the time taken to prepare the food. But believe me, it's entirely worth it. So, if you plan to visit, don't rush. Embrace the wait. Sit back, relax, enjoy your coffee, which arrives promptly within ten minutes, and relish the time spent with companions amidst the café's vibrant ambiance. I relish writing reviews about fantastic dining experiences. Discovering great food isn't always easy, but when I do, I feel compelled to share it with the world. Kudos to Lyft Coffee Shop for delivering an exceptional experience! read more
My favourite coffeehouse in Whitter, this corner joint serves up fine batches of roasted grinds in a cute, airplane themed coffee shop. The mood is casual and generally quiet, a fitting atmosphere to study and get some work done. The latte here is always a solid choice - not too bitter and creamy for a regular caffeine fix. On top of the fuzzy latte art, you'll find a few blends of coffee here, sourced and prepared by the roastery at the store, with some selections from Ethiopia and Colombia. There are plenty of seatings and street parking available, and the friendly and quick service make this woodsy, dark setting an hip and inviting place to stay around. Convenient outlets, free wifi, and excellent caffeination enshrine this as my to-go coffee roaster in Whitter! read more

Great drinks. Aesthetics. Strong WiFi. If you're in Whittier, definitely stop by. It's got everything you need for the perfect morning. Would HIGHLY recommend the Nutella croissant, somehow tastes different than others. There's outlets along the windows/reachable from the large table on the left of the cashier. read more

Always up for trying new coffee places. So, while at my daughter's volleyball tournament, I decided to walk to this coffee. Cool little spot, you can order your coffee at the self serve kiosk. I was a little lost and the barista asked if I needed help. I ended up ordering a flower latte and iced vanilla latte, and pistachio croissant. The drinks were good and the croissant was amazing, only complaint was that it took 30 minutes to get my drinks. I asked the barista if she could check on my order, and apparently the drink order didn't print, so if it wasn't for my questioning, my order would have taken longer. read more

My new favorite coffee shop maybe ever. Very fortunate to try @liftwhittier today. Coffee is perfect (we got iced americanos) and the breakfast burrito...I danced a little (and maybe a tear came out of my eye) because of how good it was. We opted for the chillaquilles breakfast burrito. Omg it was BOMB. Oaxacan cheese was soooo melts. Flavors were so delicious. It was not super dense at all. Every bite was perfect! Would I travel all the way from Phoenix to Whittier again just to have a breakfast burrito here? Yes. Yes I would. read more
Love coming to Uptown Whittier to walk my dog. Finally stumbled upon Lift Coffee Roasters and was not disappointed. Walked in and loved the ambiance. People sitting around, drinking their coffees, eating their treats, reading books and doing homework on their laptops. Typical coffee shop. I went to Lift Coffee two days in a row. Day 1, ordered the Cortado w/Oat Milk & a vegan churro donut which was pretty amazing, recommended. Day 2, ordered a slew of drinks because I had brought my siblings along. We ordered the Honey Latte, the Vanilla Latte, Hot chocolate, blueberry scone & Vegan Pumpkin Donut. All amazing and will surely come back when I am in uptown. read more
