Pretty decent spot. I got an iced matcha latte with less ice and the breakfast burrito. The matcha was a bit watery for my tastes so I wouldn't get it again but the breakfast burrito was delicious. They use a special tortilla so the color is blue which was off putting to me when I first got it, but it doesn't take away from the taste. I have to take off one star though because of the service. When you order at the kiosk, you are forced to put in your phone number. Because you have to put it in, the very reasonable explanation is that they will text you when your order is ready. I sat outside with my friend because there was no room inside and we waited for a while before we went in to check on our order since we didn't get a text. My drink was ready and sitting at the counter so I picked it up and returned to my seat. We wait longer and then my friend got impatient and walked in to see her drink was ready. I do the same shortly after her to check on my burrito and turns out it was also just sitting on the counter cold. Why do you force customers to input their phone numbers if you're not even going to have an efficient system to let them know their order is ready? The girl I asked had a bit of an attitude when I asked for her to check on my orders too as if I was greatly inconveniencing her. It's not really my fault the cafe can't figure out an alert system. Nice little coffee shop in Uptown Whittier with delicious breakfast burritos! I was warned ahead of time by a friend that the breakfast burritos can take a while to make, so it's best to order ahead on SnackPass app. I appreciated the advice because we still had to wait 5 min after we arrived, but we didn't mind because that meant they were hot and fresh. Both the prime steak and chilaquiles burritos were great! The prime steak packed a lot of flavor. My husband didn't care for the smash brown potato and thought it was too big, but I really liked the added crispy texture to the burrito. In general I'm not a fan of chilaquiles but this was good chilaquiles in the burrito. I also got an ube latte. I could hardly taste the ube, but I wonder if that's my fault because I opted to get it half sweet, however as far as a latte goes, it was the perfect mix of bitter and sweet and the espresso flavor was great. I will say, skip the pastries. We also had a kouign amann, everything croissant, and pistachio criossant. I'm not sure if they make it in house but there was something off with the pastry dough. This review is based on my recent experience with my girlfriend. Me: Ube Latte 1/5 - I judged the coffee based on the aesthetic appeal of this place. From the Yelp Images / and in person, it gave off such a "hip" vibe to it so I was quite disappointed that their drinks did not match up. My latte fell flat. I did not get a hint of Ube in it whatsoever. The guava croissant on the other hand was delish. Gf: Honey Oat Latte 1.5/5 - This latte was described as a the perfect cereal coffee, but it tasted quite bland to me. It needed more honey, more flavor, more milk. The coffee was strong which can be someone else's cup of coffee, but not mine. I had also tried Sonny's, but that was lacking flavor as well so it makes me think that their specialty coffees are just lacking in flavor overall, not just my drink in particular. Love the feel of this place right when you walk in. Has a hipster retro feel to it. They have self ordering machines or you can walk up to the counter. I went with the mocha iced coffee and a chilaquiles burrito. The drink was very well made not too sweet just the right amount of mocha and it has crushed ice which I enjoy. The burrito came in a blue flour tortilla. Couldn't tell you what it was made from I didn't see it until I got to my destination and ate it. I'm *thankful* that this place was open on Thanksgiving morning for us last minute errand runners out and about! We had a great experience here. The staff was really friendly despite having to work a holiday for a few hours.
