Nice surprise ending to our meal.
Tom L.

Showed up to a completely empty restaurant last night just before 6pm. The menu looked massive so we decided to grab a table. We were sat right away and some warm bread delivered super quick. It was not the normal Naan I was expecting but so good. I ordered up the sampler platter (5 items $24) and was shocked to see they had no Domas (stuffed grape leaves) available despite one of the options from the menu. That is a staple for me. My buddy also tried to order two different chicken dishes and the waiter had to ask if they can prepare and they said no so the waiter made a suggestion and that is what he ordered. Pretty simple chicken dish with rice, onions and shredded picked beets. The pieces of chicken were massive and super flavorful ($21). I also ordered the falafel (4pcs on hummus $9). So much food so we both had leftovers to box up. Our server was nice to drop off tea and finally a small piece of baklava to share. It was incredible. So, all in all an odd start in a quiet restaurant but the food was delicious and our service was top notch.

Food and service is absolutely excellent! The casual ambiance is great for families and date night. The menu is large and has options for everyone. Limited outdoor seating but a larger dining room. They also have take out options as well.

Really enjoyed my meal here! I had never tried lahmacun before which was a flavorful thin crispy flatbread smeared with minced spiced meat and vegetables... the gyro-doner was perfectly barbecued and included a very generous portion of meat! Ordered via meal delivery service so I can't speak to the restaurants vibes but the meal arrived nicely packaged.

First time here and the waiter for some reasons didn't get our other order right so we have to wait a little longer for that. The food is good and the restaurant is clean. I love their bread there, so soft and fluffy.

There is seating available (4 tables) and you order at the deli counter. The service was great too- they told us ahead of time it may take some time to prepare what we ordered and made sure to bring it out once ready The food was delicious, very pleasant! We had: -Lahmacun: (A Turkish style pizza, flatbread dough topped with ground lamb.) this was so tasty!!! It was so fresh and the lamb was very well seasoned. It comes paired with lettuce, onions, and a lemon which you can add to it. -Kofte Kebab and Chicken Shish kebab platter: we asked if we could order the meats we wanted to eat and the owner said we could mix and match 2. We chose the kofte and chicken kebab an it Came plated with rice, bread, and salad. Everything was so good! The chicken was tender and tasty, and the kofta was also tasty although I may say a bit dry. Still good. The bread was a pleasant experience- it had been grilled a bit an had the flavors of the chicken and kofte on it. The salad was fresh too! Overall good experience- definitely check it out if you're in the mood for Turkish food!

I ordered the lamb chops while my husband had the chicken shawarma, and both plates came with rice, vegetables, and a fresh salad with a homemade dressing that was incredibly tasty and unlike anything we've had before. The drinks were homemade too - we had the lemonade and iced tea - and the presentation of everything was beautiful, right down to the mint sprigs in the glasses that added such a nice touch. We were served by the owner, Elias, who was warm, personable, and provided impeccable service the entire time. Even though we didn't order dessert, he surprised us with baklava on the house - delicate flaky layers topped with honey and pistachios that were absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a relaxing place to enjoy great Lebanese food, Beit Zaytoon is definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is comfortable, welcoming, and not cramped at all.

What a great addition to the neighborhood! Authentic Lebanese Cuisine in the middle of Hempstead!…read more We started off with their complimentary olives & pickeled radishes; refreshing and a great palate cleanser. Then we were served Pita bread; not the soft & fluffy kind but more of a thin pita pocket type. This pita went so well with the spreads! Here is our menu (shared by 3ppl): ~ Baba Ghannouj ($10): outstanding. The smokey flavors were mouth watering. Recommended! ~ Fattoush Salad ($15): very good; fresh veggies with a fresh herb dressing. Another great palate cleanser ~ Samboussek Jibneh (feta cheese dumpling) ($12/4pcs): loved these! The dumplings are deep fried but weren't greasy at all. This was a treat! ~ Lahme Meshwi (grilled filet mignon cubes w.rice & veg) ($40): I thought this dish was a tad bit overpriced but great nonetheless. The filet mignon was so tender and prepared perfectly. The rice and grilled veggies were good also. ~ Kaftan Kebab (grilled minced lamb kebabs w.rice & veg) ($25): the kebabs were very flavorful but could have used a sauce. I ate some with the Baba Ghannouj and it was wonderful. The assorted grilled Vegs were great. Note that they do not serve tap water; must purchase bottled water. Beit Zaytoon is located in a small strip mall, so there is plenty of parking available! Recommended, and I would definitely return to explore other menu items!

Oh I hate it when a great place fails completely. This was one of our favorite Mediterranean…read moreplaces. Always fresh and delicious. Once or twice a month we would get take out or delivery. Not any more. We ordered our food for delivery. We ordered it at 3 for a 5:30 (ish) drop off. It arrived at 5:45 (not a problem at all). 3 major issues. 1) ALL of the hot food was ice cold. I mean refrigerated cold. Bread products hard as a rock and completely cold. This meant taking most items apart as they had hot and cold components, microwaving what is supposed to be got and the reassembling. I am guessing they filled the order at 3 and handed it to the delivery driver at 5:30 right out of the refrigerator. 2) An entire meal was missing. We didn't even have that many items. No one counts? No one checks? 3) One of the 2 desserts was burnt to the point of being inedible. The other was made completely correct. Of the 7 items in our order only 2 were good. One of the desserts and the cold appetizer (which was actually a little bit warmer than our "hot" food). Uber Eats gave me a full refund with no pushback, especially after the picture they asked for of the burned dessert. There are quite a few other places with an almost identical menu and similar (former) quality in my area. I will just go to them from now on. Sad. This was our go to.

The two times I've been in, they've brought out samples of thier menu items to try. I've ordered various things on the menu: hummus, lebneh, falafel wraps, falafel platters, baked kibbe platters, the green bean side, etc. All have been amongst the best Lebanese food I've tried. I want to expand and try more things, like the chicken and beef kafta. If you have questions just ask. Certain platters come with different items. Some rice, some salad, etc. Thier pita is fresh and delicious, and comes in different sizes. They have a decent sized dining area for dine-in, and the take-out area is right as you walk in the side door. Here you will also find a grocery area with Lebanese essentials. The selection is sizable, and offers items you won't find in a regular grocery store. I stocked up on spices, and coffee. Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous. I will return every opportunity I get.
