We still are loving Hummus. My last take out order this past weekend still held up! Tzatziki chicken still slaps. Unfortunately, I feel like their other chicken options are on the drier side. Was craving Mediterranean food for lunch and was close by so decided to try Hummus Mediterranean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the portion size was huge! It's like a Chipotle for Mediterranean food so I love that concept and that I can customize my own bowl. I went with a rice bowl that came with a pita on the side. I chose bulgar rice, falafel, tomato's and cucumbers, chickpea salad, sumac onions, fried zucchini, tahini, and classic hummus. I thought the bowl was just okay and a little bland. So now when ordering, the three menu options are rice bowl, salad bowl, or pita sandwich. However, that's the where the simplicity ends. Because one of the beauties of this restaurant, is the vast number of choices available to customize your meal. And to be honest, ordering for the first time can be somewhat daunting. But once you figure out what the heck's going on, you'll love creating a different tasty feast each time you visit. We went near closing time so I am thinking earlier in the day everything would have tasted fresher. The chicken kebab pieces were a bit too dry and overcooked. But all the sides were good. Hummus could have been more of a portion (they put in a tiny cup). I'd recommend the roasted chicken - as it is probably more tender. Nice tables outside. Fast service. My S.O got the tzatziki chicken which was also very good. -Falafel: 3/5, I love falafel, but this was mediocre. Definitely not bad, and better than some other spots I've had, but nothing special either. Overall, this place really hit the spot. For the price and amount of food you get you can't go wrong. My wife and I are eating this now and we love it. I got a salad with gyro meat, she got rice with chicken kebab. Both are delicious and better than a lot of local places. The classic hummus is so fresh and delicious. There is no doubt that it is home made. Next time I need hummus for a party, I'm just ordering it from here. The only disappointing part of our meal is the pita. We ordered 2 sides of pita and unfortunately they are rock hard. It is the only thing keeping me from a 5 star review. I love this place. I introduced this place to my mom and coworkers months ago as a healthy alternative to their usual fast food routine. They love it! I came in around 12:25 And it was packed! I even had to park by the law office, because there was no parking available there. The line was long, but the great thing about this place, is no matter how long the line is, it goes by fast. I could tell they weren't prepared for the volume of people that would come in today for lunch. They kept running out of things, and with only 3 people up front, if someone had to grab something from the back, the line just got longer, because they would be down a server. We got a falafel salad bowl, shrimp salad bowl, and a lamb rice bowl. The shrimp is made to order. So I has to wait a few minuets for that, but it makes sense since cooking a large batch of shrimp that aren't going to be ordered would be a waste. They also ran out of spinach, romaine, and falafel, so I had to wait even longer for those menu items to be prepared and refilled. Overall they were quick and friendly. The only thing is that I wished they were more prepared so things wouldn't run out. But I would come here again, great place! read more

LOVE this place! So good! My first visit was met with a really long line, not the quickest service (lunch rush), BUT with delicious food! You get a lot of bang for your buck! Even though they forgot my hummus during my first visit, everything was so good I didn't mind. It has a very similar concept to chipotle. You pick whether you want rice, salad or sandwich. You pick your protein, You get 3 sides, Pita bread (whole wheat or white) and hummus (with your choice of toppings). You end up being able to have this for 2 meals if you need to! My first visit I had falafel over rice, cucumber and tomatoes, grape leaves and green beans. I was impressed with the falafel (I have been to quite a few greek places looking for good falafel and never found one that came close to this place). All the food is fresh and so tasty! My second visit I got the shrimp (a bit of a wait because they cook it after you order). It was well seasoned and also tasted fresh! The chicken itself was semi flavorful. It could have used more spices. The chicken was dry & over cooked. The salad mix was fresh although the tomatoes weren't ripe hence an aftertaste that lingered. The hot roasted pepper hummus was very nice. The falafel was nicely crisp on the outside & moist inside but was a bit bland. The tahini sauce was watery. Staff was welcoming & friendly. This is an awesome Mediterranean restaurant. It's fast, inexpensive and delicious. The hummus is incredible and does the name of the restaurant justice. My parents went here and ordered to eat in. They called me and said they were enjoying their meal and asked if I would like something. It was too hot but I'm looking forward to sitting outside when it's cooler out. The staff were incredibly kind and patient as they walked us through the process of ordering. This time I chose a salad with a bed of spinach, hummus, sautéed onions, corn, chicken gyro, as well as a side of olive tapenade. I told my boyfriend how good the hummus is and so he also got a topping of hummus on his chicken gyro rice plate along with a side of hummus. We also ordered falafel and it was very good: fresh, hot, with good texture on the outside and inside. I know I've said this but the hummus is so very good. I want to order a larger side of it the next time I come in. I definitely will be back as I see this as a new spot to grab lunch or dinner at. This meal made us happy and sleepy. Maybe it was an off night or a bad day or something else. I ordered a salad with chicken gyro. There wasn't a lot of chicken prepared, and what was served to me was all burned and overcooked! I also got olives in my salad. One of the olives still had pits. I unfortunately but down on it, and now my tooth is hurting. My boyfriend ordered a rice bowl with steak. He said the rice was hard. Couldn't tell if it was overlooked, undercooked, or burned. His steak was cold. There also wasn't a lot of steak prepared. They were out of the garlic dressing and out of the garlic topping for the hummus. As we were paying, they offered to get fresh chicken for a customer that had just walked in. What about us?! I've tried Hummus twice so far! This might be my new go to for a healthy meal. Located in Holbrook, there's a small lot in back of the restaurant. Inside, there are tables but I think most people choose the take out option. The concept is great! It's like a chipotle, Moe's... but for Mediterranean food. Then choose a protein or falafel. Your creation comes with 3 sides, there are about 25 choices. I zero in on the Tabouli Salad as a base on my falafel. It also comes with a side cup of hummus. I chose my hummus topped with chopped olives and wifee selected hers with sun dried tomatoes. (On the menu board I see the spelling "tomatos". I grew up here and worked in Mamma Lombardis when I was in high school. Mamma made sauce with tomatoes) I sit down with my Snapple. I take a bite. Meh. The sauces have no flavor and everything tasted flavorless. I passed by this place twice before stopping in today after work. I was promptly greeted by a young girl behind the counter who asked if I had been here before. I said no, so she explained how the process worked. Like a Chipotle, if I remember correctly since I've only been to a Chipotle once. Just the right size cubes for a good forkful of this great salad combo of my choice. Knock my boots off goodness permeated the roast lamb! I'm going in for a lamb sandwich next time. GET THE LAMB! The Gyro meat was pretty awesome too. But the Lamb was the superstar! The Hummus was flavorful and you could choose your mix ins. Things like roasted garlicky, roasted red peppers, spinach, etc. My only complaints is I didn't get any pita or crackers with my side of Hummus and there are no prices posted.
