We enjoyed our visit here! We were looking for some halal food and this Turkish spot stood out to us. Ambiance: It's a deli and has some grocery options for you to choose from. There is seating available (4 tables) and you order at the deli counter. The service was great too- they told us ahead of time it may take some time to prepare what we ordered and made sure to bring it out once ready The food was delicious, very pleasant! We had: -Lahmacun: (A Turkish style pizza, flatbread dough topped with ground lamb.) this was so tasty!!! It was so fresh and the lamb was very well seasoned. It comes paired with lettuce, onions, and a lemon which you can add to it. -Kofte Kebab and Chicken Shish kebab platter: we asked if we could order the meats we wanted to eat and the owner said we could mix and match 2. We chose the kofte and chicken kebab an it Came plated with rice, bread, and salad. Everything was so good! The chicken was tender and tasty, and the kofta was also tasty although I may say a bit dry. Still good. The bread was a pleasant experience- it had been grilled a bit an had the flavors of the chicken and kofte on it. The salad was fresh too! Yogurt sauce - incredible Gyro meat - inedible I enjoyed the Mediterranean/Turkish spin on this gyro being on the sesame bread and all, but against my better judgement of the 2 month old gyro meat on the spit I went for it anyway. I'm glad I did only because of their awesome, cucumbery yogurt sauce. The gyro aside, I'd go there solely for the lahmacun, seriously some of the best I've had. I was only let down by the amount of tomato... it wasn't enough for one piece but I ordered two. Plenty of lemon and lettuce as well as cilantro, all very fresh despite what I expected after the gyro. If I go back it will only be for that lahmacun; you should try it! They charged me 40 bux, I was so distressed at the time I didn't really say anything... he came out to my car (and this is where taking the time to check in on yelp saved me from getting screwed) he said I over charged you, please come back in, thank god I found you out here. 2 chicken wraps and kofte kebab sand was my order, I waited 30 mins for the order, he started cooking all at once , kofte was ready 10 minutes before the wraps by the time wraps are done my food was cold At the time grillman was arguing back and forth with the owner and about a kiymali life ,he put the chicken aside of the gril then cut them ...he made sure we get the food cold ..by the time I left to walk to my car which is parked in front of the business, I delivered 2 cold wraps to my wife and kid , they didn't eat it, also kofte sand I got kofte was burnt outside and still raw inside , after $45 spent we dumped the wraps and kofte to the garbage outside of business and left to go to a diner to eat..also you can't judge the ambiance due to dusty products on the shelfs, dust everywhere.. .I do not recommed read more

This place has a little bit of everything. Its one of those places that you pass by unless someone tell you about it. It's a grocery store-Deli. The front has a few tables and a display of goodies at the cash register. ( sorry no pics ) . I ordered the Doner Gyro on pita $7.99, I enjoyed it even though it does appear to have a large amount of onions that sometimes can overpower things. This was well marinated and was mild. I was visiting from out of state and as a former Holtsville-er I had to get my Turkish food fix back in November 2019. This place never disappoints. The Bulgar pilaf, mixed grill, their bread and salad is so flavorful. This is the one place that I always try to stop in at when I am visiting. I have also had their babaganoush which is delicious! It is not fancy by any means. There are a few small tables and chairs and the space is really a small grocery store with a small cooking area. The workers are always very pleasant as well. read more

This place is a Turkish grocery store that serves food. The place is small. There are three tables to sit down and eat. There is not a lot of space. We decided to dine in for lunch. We ordered gyros with a small salad and their brand of bottled water. The cook was so accommodating. The gyros had special sauce and the right amount of spices. They were so tasty. The salad was a basic tossed salad with oil and vinegar. Everything was delicious. It's not a fancy place but the food is good and the staff is pleasant. They sell Turkish groceries. I've been to MANY Turkish joints/delis/fine restaurants. That being said, this one serves SIMPLY THE BEST Turkish cuisine I've eaten anywhere. I will drive from Huntington to enjoy this food. The place looks nondescript, but don't let the deli-like environment discourage you, because the food is wonderful and packed with vibrant authentic flavors. I was the only non-Turkish person there when I had lunch, but that (and the soccer games in Turkish on the TV) added to the authentic vibe. Free hot tea dispensed at entrance is a nice touch. Really not sure who is getting generous portions, but I guess I certainly ordered the wrong thing. I was getting take out and ordered an entrée thinking it would be more food than the pita. It's not, but it is almost double the price. The "entrée" just has some bulgur/rice and a tiny wilted lettuce salad soaked with oily dressing in a container. Normally a vegetable and/or some lettuce, onions, tomato would be found to mix with your plate, none of that was here. I ordered the lamb shish kabab with bulgur. Got half bulgur half white rice and a few pieces of overcooked, under seasoned lamb with some very burned pieces. My husband received his with no bulgur at all and just white rice. On the bright side the pide was good. Do not expect much for your money here if you intend on ordering what I did. Perhaps there are far better options on the menu than what I got, but I was really disappointed by quality and quantity. read more

The rice.. my God the rice is out of this world. I don't know what they do but it's aroma and taste are amazing. Konak is a little gem in the rough in a small strip mall of horseblock road. Wonderful kebabs, I highly recommend the Adana or Betyi if you like it spicy. Get the entree not the sandwich, trust me; the meat is perfectly spiced, and then you get that wonderful rice, fresh Turkish bread and a nice salad. Make sure you get a lahmacun as a starter, drop in the mix of sumac onions, tomato, Parsley, and lemon on top of the crispy flat bread and ground lamb and roll it up for a delicious starter. Cool it off with a tasty yoghurt Aryan mixed with some cool mineral water and you have an amazing meal. read more

Unexpectedly excellent food. It is a market with a side eatery inside (not a formal restaurant). The food is unbelievable as there is constant patronage, thus the food is constantly fresh. Getting gyro/doner is not a guarantee as I was late in this instance and the doner meat was completely gone (done by 5pm evidently). As long as you don't mind the Turkish soccer channel as the only channel on t.v., it is an unexpected gem in strip mall. read more

i discovered Konak based on the 2 yelp reviews before me! I have to agree with both when they say the food is fresh and full of flavour! based on two outings and trying three separate meat dishes (adana, lamb and tavuk) it is by far the best turkish food in the neighborhood. the prices are very cheap, and you get enough food to take home some leftovers. the owners/cooks are extremely friendly and make the small convenience store front feel very familiar, sort of like eating at a friends kitchen. that being said, if the store opened up its space more, or perhaps they are intending to expand into a full fledged restaurant, they would receive my full support and recommendation to everyone in the suffolk county muslim community. read more

No a fancy place, in fact it is quite humble. Today I had a grilled chicken shish with salad fresh baked Turkish bread (pide). Excellent as always. The food here is fresh and different. I usually get grilled lamb shish because the lamb he doesn't have the gamey taste that Americans are used to. The spices they use give an excellent taste. I won't eat lamb anywhere else. Farmingville's best kept secret! Came here here with my wife, we were hungry and cold. Ordered for take out a simple gyro and rice with salad, perfectly cooked and hearty. If they run out of something I wanted, I always take their suggestion on what to order instead & they haven't steered me wrong! One of the staff charged me extra for a drink, lied to my face about it, and pretended to put the receipt in the bag and on top of that, was very rude to a little kid. Sandwiches are 7.00 or 9.00 depending of what kind.. Lahmacun is $3 for 1.. And turkish pie varries from 8.95 to 11.95.. We also have anchovies sometime and other fish.. 12.00 +tax on that.. I rarely give a place 5 stars, but my vegetarian body craves their chicken from three thousand miles away! One of the last time I ate chicken, 4 or 5 years ago, was here. It was juicy, tender, and full of flavour. This place doesn't give you a show with fancy Adverts or cute names for their dishes, as the food does enough of it. Their rice and salad is also good for the veggies who would like to try some Turkish food. as Melissa mentioned, they have halal meat. They are one of the few places in the area that do, and they also have a lil market full of turkish/halal products.
