This is probably the best deli style sandwich I've had in Columbus. Mounds of sliver sliced distinct flavors of meats heaped on an excellent rye bread. Ordering is done at the counter but all the employees were pleasant, helpful, and professional. They weren't busy but it took a bit of time to get my food. But, wonderful takes a bit longer, and is worth it! I gave Lexi's 5 stars. It would have been 4.5 if that had been an option... Downtown Columbus parking is expensive and awful. Not close, easy, or convenient. The restaurant is more fast service industrial decor and vibe than deli ambiance. As an old timer this is a negative. For me Coke is still the real thing and they serve Pepsi products. A negative for me. The single hunk of pickle that came with my massive sandwich was tasty, but more like an inadequate afterthought. For me this was a destination adventure and it's almost certain I'll do it again. But, if you're downtown Columbus exploring and deli sound good, Lexi's doesn't have the ambiance of some German Village places, but, the prices are similar and the food bigger and better! read more

Was trying to find a spot to grab breakfast at 8AM and nowhere in the area seems to be open at that time and stumbled upon this place. Solid spot. Thought it was a sit down restaurant after finding it online, but it's casual, order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Lexi's Special was a good size platter and the eggs over easy came out perfect. Some of the best hash browns I've had. Friend loved her breakfast burrito, which was huge. Plenty of seating. Consider me impressed! I got the NYC breakfast sandwich which features corned beef, scrambled eggs, and Swiss cheese on toasted rye. I was impressed by how much corned beef they packed on the sandwich for $11 in this economy. Corner beef and eggs could have used some salt, but good quantity and pretty fair quality! read more

Breakfast and lunch, right smack downtown, in a nice space. Parking is of course an issue; I parked in the Statehouse garage, got a spot right in the closest corner, at 1 on a weekday. There's a nice patio, plus a good amount of seating inside. Not busy when I went. Bet it gets packed at peak. Lots of good stuff on the menu. I went with a soup and sandwich combo. Egg salad: on rye (or your choice,) with lettuce and tomato (if you want.) Pretty good, the rye balanced the bland eggs. A little celery in the egg salad. Also got chili: pretty big bowl of pretty good ground beef and bean chili. A little heat in there, thick, very tasty. Comes with crackers, and a pickle. Up fast because of what I ordered, brought to your table. Friendly service. Patient with a newbie. Very reasonable prices, especially considering what the rent here must be. We got reg corned beef with provolone on white, jawbreaker Reuben, coleslaw, home fries , cookies and I ordered fried mushrooms but they forgot to pack them. Food tasted good, reminder of Cleveland. The home fries are hard to find in Columbus so to know they came from Cleveland, they were going to put out true home fries. They were a bit heavy on the pepper for me. The cookies were delicious. Slaw was good on the dryer side. The people are very nice there. The atmosphere is quiet when we went. They have an outdoor patio to sit and eat as well as seating inside. Stopped in for breakfast on the go before work. The wait was a bit long, but they seemed to be pretty busy with orders so that's to be expected. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant) it was made to order and tasted pretty good. The restaurant was clean and appeared to be well kept with a business vibe. So I just realized Lexi's feature Danny's Deli sandwiches. They're located in downtown Columbus. Anyway, when I was ordering, the guy told me they're known for the corned beef. I got whatever he recommended, but without sauerkraut. The sandwich was delicious. But it was also $20+ (after tip and tax). I used the mustard sauce that they had in bottles by the trash bins. First time visitor. I've been to Danny's Deli and of course Katzinger's. Just so you know, it is a downtown location, so no parking, short hours, no weekend hours. No deli counter but you can call ahead and talk to catering about bulk orders. With that out of the way, we were in the area and decided to do a drive by. One went in one waited in the car at Lynn/Third streets. No issue. We ordered a straight up corned beef on rye and pastrami on rye. Order at the counter and then they call your name. Corned beef has a third size, I guess it's an extra large. Smooth order and delivery process and it was busy. About 30 people seated and 15 in various stages of order waiting. Ok. The food. CB was 5* and the pastrami was 5+*. Lean meat with just the right amount of fat. Great oversized portion, nice fresh rye bread, and I thought, both a value at $15 each. Order was Packaged with care and included a wrapped pickle 1/4 on the side. Excellent all around. We for sure will be back, since it is a close jump from Bexley. read more

I ordered a few minutes ago for my lunch. I got the slim Reuben in order of sweet potato fries and a order of fried mushrooms. I will say the Reuben is pretty good except for a little dry. There's no sauce on the sandwich. I paid a total of six dollars For a order of fried mushrooms when they arrived. I was very disappointed because in my order there was only five mushrooms and with my sweet potato fries, they were cold.. which they were $6.50 also. I ordered a side of thousand island to go with my sandwich and whatever they sent me was the most disgusting sauce I have ever put in my mouth. It was very sweet. The Food is very good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired, especially if you're getting it to go. The last three times I've ordered my food to go, it's taken more than 15 minutes to get one sandwich. It's unfortunate that I can't recommend the place, because as I said, the food is very good, but that doesn't excuse an unreasonable wait time during the work day. I had not been back to Lexi's on Third since before the Pandemic, I am amazed that Danny Georges sold his other deli in Columbus to focus on this one named after his daughter Lexi. I had the Roast Beef Melt and Sweet Potato Fries and washed it down with Diet Dr. Pepper. The Roast Beef Melt was very filling and delicious and Sweet Potato Fries clinched the meal. My friends had salads with Grilled Chicken and Greek that looked delicious too. The service was great despite ordering from the counter but they deliver your food to the table. The inside has not changed much and, it is nice outside where you can eat outdoors. I will have to go back to Lexi's for breakfast sometime, and will get Roast Beef Melt again. read more

Wonderful, classic diner food that's served up with a smile. Lexi's is right next to the Marriott Renaissance in Columbus. Rather than eat another big chain hotel breakfast, I called over to Lexi's and ordered a hash brown/scrambled eggs/bacon/toast breakfast. It was ready in under 10 minutes. This was a serious amount of food for a day that promised to be a long one. It was a great way to start the day. Bacon was high-quality and perfectly cooked as were the eggs and potatoes. I will start off with I enjoyed the quality of the food. So I doordashed.. a grilled chicken club.. A half sandwich ( pastrami melt ) with salad ( cobbed) , side of potato salad, and chicken noodle soup. Starting with soup. It had a different type of broth. Kinda strong on celery taste.. the spiral egg noodles. It tasted fresh and very homemade. Kinda hints of lemon zedge, too. Was good. The grilled chicken club was cooked just right. so juicy but not dry. The bun had a nice hint of sweet on it. Mixed well with the chicken. The sandwhich duo.. the pastrami melt was thin and tasted fresh. If I lived closer, I could say that if it was hot, it would be bangin. I asked for white but got rye my only downfall. The cobb salad was a nice portion. Fresh greens. Nice cut size tomatoes. Nicely sliced eggs.. only downfall was they added bacon, and I didn't order with that. Their greek dressing has a big tanggg. I ordered this through ubereats and delivered it to work. I got a corned beef sandwich and matso ball soup. It came with a pickle on the side. I'm already thinking about when I can eat this again! The sandwich was juicy and huge and the bread was very tasty. The soup had two huge balls and the broth was very tasty; not too salty, not too hearty, just light and flavorful. There was onion, carrots and celery bits in the broth as well which was a great touch. I'll be sure to visit their actual deli next time, but I will be back. Well done! read more

Lexi's on Third is better than you think an office building restaurant could be. It's popular with downtown lunchers. The menu is better than expected. It has several vegetarian items. The only bad thing is they're only open for lunch. I had the cauliflower burger. It's about $9 to get it with a beverage and sweet potato fries. The burger was way better than most of the vegetable kind of variety. It came with fresh tasting onions. There's very good spicy brown mustard in squeeze bottles if you need an extra something. It's kind of annoying due to its location. The Chase Building is filled with corporate big shots. It's also only open for lunch hours Monday to Friday. That's similar to many of these downtown restaurants so it just means you have to be lucky enough to not be working when it's open. I wouldn't mind trying Lexi's on Third again. It's cheaper than many other downtown options. The only problem is getting there. read more

Came here for a midday break for lunch and wasn't disappointed in the slightest. I had a burger topped with pastrami and swiss cheese with a side of sweet potato fries, and it was absolutely delicious, plain and simple. Place was slammed and we still didnt wait more than 15-20 mins for our food (as an order for four people). Workers were really nice and composed given the clearly stressful environment of a downtown lunch rush which added to the positive experience. Co-worker got a chicken salad that was loaded with grilled chicken which was impressive since most places skimp in that department, and the portions were well worth the money in my opinion. Large diverse menu, reasonable prices with delicious flavor. Not to mention a nice view and the option to eat in or outside in an enclosed seating area. Frankly, the only way I could've enjoyed this place more is if they'd just given me my meal for free. Lexi's is in one of my go to lunch spots near my office. The food is really affordable, the portions are huge, and everything I've had has been delicious. My favorite thing to order is their French Fries! They're crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside just like I like them! My favorite meal order is the traditional gyro! It's one of the best I've ever had, and I always add the feta! They also have really great salads, and one of my favorite veggie burgers if you're looking for a vegetarian option! The only drawback, and the reason for 4 starts, is if you're going during peak lunch hours you should expect a decent wait for your food. My tip would be to call ahead and order and then just go pick it up, otherwise you'll end up standing around upwards of 10 minutes waiting for your food to come out. If I want to go for lunch, I usually head over around 1pm and the wait is much more manageable. read more

I have never been more surprised by a restaurant. I got this food DoorDash to me while I was at work. Figured a deli sandwich sounded good for today. When I pulled back the wrapper to find a sandwich, the size of a football I was pleasantly surprised. I was also nervous that with that much meat on the sandwich, it would overpower everything else. But it was so perfectly balanced. Everything was delicious. I am super lazy and order through Uber Eats an embarrassing amount. So I've never actually stepped foot in Lexi's, but I love this place. Of all the places that participate in delivery, Lexi's is quite possibly the best. Every time I order, it's perfect. The food is cooked well and packaged well to travel. It arrives still warm, and the delivery bag is always thoughtfully prepared -- with all the plastic ware, napkins, seasonings, sauces, and condiments you need. Every. Single. Time. I tend to order breakfast, but all the meals are delicious deli/short-order goodness. The price is totally reasonable, you get a lot of food, and it's fast fast fast. I decided to try a local place for breakfast rather than having the breakfast at the Renaissance Columbus downtown so was happy to find Lexi's on Third next door. At around 8 a.m. there were two other patrons that were eating in. Upon entering there were no signs or anything so I walked up to the counter to be ignored by the snooty little thing behind the counter. Anyway their breakfast menu has all names like Lexi's special and Trifecta without any explanations of the dishes so I had to ask the person behind the counter for explanation even though he was not interested in talking to me. Anyway I went with the trifecta ($6) which is basically either pancakes or French toast, two eggs and choice of meat. I went with pancakes, scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. I also got a large coffee ($1.75) to wash everything down. After ordering you can grab a seat and the person taking your order will bring your food out when it is ready. In the meantime you can help yourself to coffee from a serving station on the side. It took more than 10 minutes for the food to be prepared. Time that was spent sipping on one of the worst coffee's that I've had in a long time. You would be better off getting coffee from a 7-11 rather than drinking this piss. Thankfully I had already had my first coffee of the day from Starbucks across the road so I slowly sipped on this to kill time while waiting for the food. After an excruciatingly long wait the food arrived. In one word it was pathetic. I will remember this as one of the worst breakfasts that I've eaten anywhere in the country. Even small local places make decent French toast and scrambled eggs which won't win any competitions but will leave you satisfied so I'm surprised how these guys could mess up a simple breakfast. The French toast was dry bread that was completely burnt on the side that had been dipped in the beaten eggs. It was gross. The scrambled eggs were tasteless. There was no seasoning, no heavy cream nothing and worst of all they were undercooked. Lastly the turkey sausage seemed to be straight out of a pre-packaged frozen sausage slab that was hurriedly thawed and then grilled till it was hard and dry as a rock. I think the Chef that prepared my breakfast needs to go back to culinary school and get his basics right. I am really surprised at the sky high ratings for Lexi's on Third because the food and service certainly does not live up to it. Sadly another place where ratings do not reflect reality. I'm sure the benchmark set by the pathetic breakfast at Lexis on Third will be hard for another place to beat and in my eyes will be worst breakfast I've had for a long time to come. read more

This was a nice little gem to stumble into! I have been wanting to try this place for quite some time now, and fortunately had some time to kill one day. I've heard GREAT things about LUNCH, but it was breakfast time and I was craving some BREAKFAST foods. I ended up getting "LEXI'S SPECIAL": Two eggs, bacon, sausage, gyro or ham, home fries, toast...did you see that...let's check again...GYRO (meat)! I was stoked! I always wanted to come here because I hear people say they are going for lunch. I got a chance during a caucus meeting that was catered and the food was delicious. However, upon returning for lunch with coworkers we noticed that the menu was meh... Stuff you can find at any place around downtown. Nothing really special. Food isn't nasty but nothing to write home about either. As with anything downtown, parking can be difficult during the day. It's gonna suck when too many people figure out that this place is really good and I have to struggle to get a lunch order in. The food is really fresh and well prepared. The service is friendly and patient but the nature of business district lunch rush makes you feel just that, rushed, when you're in line at least. They have a large patio and a spacious inside seating area so I have never had a problem finding a seat. I find that they are very well priced. The cheeseburger is only 5 dollars. Fries are well priced and they make GREAT fries. I mean really well cooked compared to most and they give you plenty of them. I recommend the Cajun fries. My favorite meal is the pick 2.
