I am so thankful that I found LTS Mastertech. I have a Lexus LS430 UL (Ultra Luxury) edition, which has an adjustable air suspension. Although this is a cool feature, the air shocks are notorious for going bad. When this occurs, the car will drop nearly to the ground on the side where the shock failed; which is what I experienced recently. Thankfully, I had researched the issue beforehand, so I wasn't shocked (no pun intended) to find the front left side of the car had dropped one morning. Since the cost to replace just one air shock is over $1,500, I started to look into converting the suspension to a standard LS430 spring/shock configuration. I researched several forums and saw that it could be done, but I needed to find a technician that was familiar with the process. I called no fewer than 12 local shops and nobody that I spoke with had done a conversion like this. Then, I stumbled upon LTS Mastertech. After speaking with the owner (Mike), I learned that he had previously worked as a technician for a Lexus dealership and decided to open an independent alternative to dealer service. Not only was he familiar with converting the suspension on my car, he had actually done the process before. Mike suggested installing the Sport suspension, as it would provide better freeway handling. I went with his recommendation and I'm really pleased with the result. For less than the cost of replacing 2 air shocks, we were able to convert the entire system. Now if a shock wears out, it will only cost a few hundred dollars to replace. Mike and his technicians are friendly, knowledgeable and professional, the cutomer waiting area is extremely clean and comfortable (coffee, tv, wifi, AC), and the prices are considerably less than the dealer. Great guy who seems super honest. Kind of weird for a mechanic, but welcome!! Mike used to work for Longo Lexus. He does not profess to know everything about all cars. He specializes in Lexus and Toyotas. He'll take other cars but won't do work he's not sure he can do. He keeps many parts for the Lexus in stock that other places have to special order. His charge for parts are sometimes cheaper than what some of the parts stores will charge. He was super nice. He really seems to care about his workers and just a stand up business man. We serviced our 2010 Corolla at Lex Mastertech today. Yes the shop has 5 yelp stars but I can still say the experience greatly exceeded our expectations. We got the 30K service performed for close to $200 less than what the dealership had quoted us...and that low price was without a coupon. Nice! So the iPhone 5 just came out and guess where that $200 is going :) When I heard the low price I asked and found out that he uses factory parts and factory tools ....how on earth do the dealerships get away with charging what they do??? Secondly, the shop is immaculate. Spotless! I had taken our car to a dealership in Glendale to get some warranty work done last week and atmosphere-wise there is just no comparison. LEX's waiting room has a lux feel to it with fresh leather seats and a high end coffee machine. I don't go to a mechanic to get coffee and relax but it goes a long way in showing a certain pride in ones own business when the owner pays attention to details outside of his own immediate line of work. I tried to change my own spark plugs on my 2008 IS250 but couldn't get to the last 3 under the manifold. Took my car here to finish the job and they did an EXCELLENT job! Not only are they affordable and fast, but really nice. They don't try and sell you things you don't need, and keep you informed while they work on your car. If you believe in reincarnation then you're in luck cause Mike is the Michelangelo of automotive sciences ( no, not the turtle, the artist ). First of all he is outstanding to his customers and so is his staff, the lovely lady in his office was courteous, friendly and you can tell they care for their customers. When my little Prius light up like a Xmas tree mike was the only one that would help me put, as busy as he is he took the time to help me out when others said .....maybe next week.... For that alone I'm hugely grateful since I work at a hospital and I need my little Prius to get around. Yelp to the rescue! I'm so happy I found Mike on Yelp! Now I have a reliable source for all my Rav4 needs! First off, the location is great. Secondly, he treats you like a guest would be treated at someone's home. Greeting you with a great smile and handshake. I needed to get my door fixed because using a key to unlock my door wasn't cutting it anymore! He told me that it was probably the "actuator". He inspected and confirmed that it was common and that he could order the part for me. He also fixed my button for my AC for me because mine was peeling off. Yesterday when I came in to pick up my car I was thrilled to find that everything was working and I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for. He even inspected other things in my car that he thought might need some additional care, but he said everything looked great (he could've told me I needed to fix this and that). Attempting to be a smart customer, before I decided to go with Mike I needed to look around and see what my options were. Some places that were rated highly on yelp for Toyota service quoted me too high or said they would have to charge for an inspection. While some just plain out did not provide me with a good first impression by not even greeting me when I came to their shop. Mike's initial quote ended up being nearly the same as the final. I'm happy I ended up paying the expected price and not getting a surprise bill at the end. Now, I'm looking for various things to fix for my car so that Mike can see what he can do! I sent my son to this location based on high yelp ratings. These guys are thieves. My son took his ES350 for initial service and oil change. It was a recently purchased car. After asking the car a recently purchased car and then said there was a problem and oil he was quoted $2500. This place is going to keep me from letting my car break down and die. I've completely given up on both nearby dealerships. (After an experience with a rude rep at Wondries and two experiences where the actual maintenance of my car at Toyota of Pasadena was subpar I just couldn't go back to either place.) Just got my car serviced here and had a great experience. So glad to have found somewhere where I can take my car! I was recommended to this place when my Toyota Tundra blew it's 12 year old radiator. I talked to Mike on the phone and he was very informative and offered multiple options. I elected to have the radiator replaced and while the radiator was out, the timing belt service also. Pretty much have to agree with Ed P. on this one. This indeed is THE spot! There is no need to take your car to a dealer EVER again....not with the prices these guys charge. Really unbelieveable that this kind of place exists in this economy. I went to A & A Tire first to get an alignment done and the one lady was arguing with one of the guys there, then I asked the guy 'can I get an alignment done', he said 'After lunch.' I said ok. Was driving back home and saw this sign for 'Lexus, Toyota, Scion, Hybrid' and thought 'let me check this place out.' The rest as they say is history. But first, let's talk about customer service. My first visit there, Mike was out test driving a car, so I waited in the office. When Mike came back, the first thing he did was shake my hand. I didn't even tell him my problem or what I wanted, nor did I even promise to use them. I was just requesting an estimate. But that shake of the hand just after saying hello spoke volumes. A little while later, Armando came in and did the same thing. I'm telling you, these guys not only know how to run a car shop, this is the way ANY business should be run and how customers should be dealt with. So friendly and professional, words really can't describe it. Now on to the business aspect of things. These guys came from the Lexus dealership so they know Lexi (kinda cool word huh?)Toyota & Scion, but deal with all Japanese makes and then some. They use factory parts, are ASE certified, and they really know their stuff. Now the best part of course....is price. I was quoted a price of $140 for alignment and some other services that my car needed. I thought 'ok...dealer will be about the same' I went to pick up my car, and my final bill was.....$50?! Couldn't believe it......fell onto the floor. Mind you, each car & each situation is different, but I was shocked. After this service, I needed new tires for my car. Mike tried to find me a good deal but couldn't (everyone should go through tirerack.com for tires!)BUT he did offer me mounting & balancing much cheaper than America's Tire, Big O Tire, Just Tires, etc. so again they got my services. (America's Tire was very rude by the way....they would say anything to make a sale). Anyhow, these guys are great, and will never visit the dealer again as long as these guys are around. Diagnosis was fast, and he fixed the problem on my SUV RX350 in less than 5 hrs. The team is nice, professional, certified and well trained. They go the extra mile to make customers happy. Don't take your vehicle anywhere else! I've owned a Toyota before (Camry) and previously had taken that vehicle to the Toyota Dealership in Pasadena for service. I wish I knew about Mike and his shop prior. My oil changes with Toyota were close to $200 (robbery). I would have saved so much money if I would have taken my vehicles to LEX prior. The customer service alone is worth it! I now own a Lexus and was referred to Mike from the neighboring shop, as my husband previously had taken his BMW there. My Lexus needed a 40,000 mile tune up and some adjustments to sensors, etc. The 40,000 mile check which included synthetic oil, plus a new A/C filter was $200. I took my vehicle in at 9:30am and received a phone call around 4pm that my vehicle was ready. Mike (the owner) was friendly and extremely knowledgable. He made it a point to come in and introduce himself to myself along with anyone else in the waiting room. The gal (wish I remembered her name) at the front desk was very friendly as well! Mike is very knowledgeable and professional about Lexus/Toyota cars. He's also very honest about pricing. He tries his best to just solve THE problem, other that talking you into unnecessary part replacements as do lots of dishonest shops. My LS 400, an old vehicle, couldn't ignite, turned out it was the CEU. Mike not only successfully identified it, had it fixed, but also waived some of the labor charge because it took longer than expected to be drivable. Before the CEU issue, the speedometer/odometer/oil gauge meter failed to work. The dealer at Longo asked for thousands, but you know what, Mike fixed it for just a few hundreds plus lifetime warranty. What else can you ask for in such a time when usually at auto repairs you could only expect a rip-off for a plain job instead of being really really helped? It's a gift to know Mike if you happen to have a Lexus/Toyota car because your car(s) can totally rely on him and won't worry if the cost goes as sky-high. read more

The owner as well as the staff is very friendly. Provide ride to drop off or pick up. Sane more than 100 compare to dealer onregular maintainance. I would actually give out a five start except that later i found the tires pressure is off by 4 psi from left to right. If they can't get the simple things right out make me wonder what other things the mechanics are not paying attention to.
