Lox bagel on an onion - A partially eaten bagel sandwich contains cream cheese, slices of tomato, onion, capers, and bacon. The person holding it is wearing a beige or light-colored long-sleeve garment. The background includes a metal table surface, a napkin, and crumpled paper with some remaining crumbs and food remnants.

Fast and good! Loved the bagel quality. Only wish is that they gave more lox but for $12, can't complain

A person with glasses is positioned behind a glass display case containing various baked goods, likely bagels and pastries, at Levy's Bagels & Co in Alameda, CA. Above, two chalkboard menus list bagel flavors, sandwiches, and other offerings. The setting appears to be a casual bagel shop with a warm interior lighting and a clean environment.

Ordered the SOHO to go after a morning run. It hit the spot, sandwich came with a decent portion of meat , side of pickle. Would come back again if in the area. Service was quick, order was taken right as I walked in. Plenty of parking , casual vibes.

The image shows a glass refrigerator with multiple shelves holding bottled beverages such as Naked smoothies and Simply Orange juice, along with pre-packaged salads labeled with ingredients like green onion, garlic herb, and strawberry. The refrigerator is situated indoors, with reflections on the glass and some items visible on the side shelves.

It was like, 11am or something when I went in and it was still kinda busy. 2-3 people in front of me. Some staying to eat inside, some eating outside since it was a beautiful day. I don't remember which bagel I wanted, but they said it wouldn't be ready for 10-12 minutes. Seeing as there was an abundance of bagels already ready. I chose a French toast bagel. Because, why not. It was ready in like 5 minutes or something. I honestly didn't eat it until many many hours later. I got busy and forgot about it. It was still good, but I'm sure it would have been much better fresh out of the toaster. I guess I'll have to come back to verify that/try another type of bagel/whatever bagel it was that I wanted to try in the first place lol

The owners are very nice - my favorite is their white fish spread. Try them out they are the best bagel place alameda hands down. Also their lox schmear.

As a native NYer, Levy's comes "hella" close. The lox sandwich hits! Get you one! Also the Black and whites are authentic!

Ask the Community - Levy's Bagels

Do they have a separate toaster for their gluten free bagels? Or do they just toast them with the regular ones?

Unfortunately they toast them with the regular ones.

What is on the vegetarian sandwich?

Is this the same Levy's that used to be in San Ramon? I know David had sold the business and name to someone else, then all of the sudden... it disappeared!

Yes. They learned the proper way to make the bagels when they took it over and have been popular ever since. Coming from Minnesota and accustomed to perfect Jewish bagels, these come extremely close to the yummy chewiness I've come to expect from… Read more

My favorite thus far is probably the jalapeño cheese bagel with garlic herb cream cheese and egg (it's scrambled egg).

I often bring family and friends, and everyone in the place knows me by name. I've tried most of the coffee and matcha drinks and they are all excellent. But one drink showed up as a special a few months ago and quickly became the #1 go-to drink for both my wife and myself: the Orange Creamsicle Latte. We get it iced and made with oat milk and it is indescribably delicious. I came in earlier this week and was disappointed to learn that the Orange Creamsicle was considered a seasonal special and is gone. Lou, if you're reading this, please bring it back and make it part of the regular menu. Especially since summer's a-comin' and orange is a great summertime flavor!

The space is very modern, lots of light through the windows, tall ceilings! I'd love a place like this closer to home! Fast casual set up - order at the counter. Super easy! They have great menu items. We ordered the egg salad toast with chili crisp. The egg salad was rich but not much - was it made with kewpie mayo? The market salad with apple slices, Gouda cheese and candied pecans those with sherry vinaigrette was perfect for me! My extra treat was the pandan latte. It's slightly sweet with some jasmine and coconut notes. So delicious! Can't wait to come back!
