Lol I needed some country gear ASAP...because I have a special concert to attend and I need some boots and wanted to find the perfect pair. If you're new to the boot game, trust me it's a process to find the right pair. I was greeted by an amazing young lady who took the time to show me the ropes. This store is HUGE!!!!! I couldn't believe the selection of boots and clothing. Believe it or not, I found two pair and every cowgirl needs a few pairs....right?!!! Luckily for me these boots were a gift because they most certainly are not cheap, but they sure are cute! Now time to break them in with some line dancing! Hahaa

But not so much that it annoyed me. I went in looking for my first quality hat, and she worked very hard to try to find one in the price range that I was looking for in a style that worked for me. Once I made my choice, she was able to shake the hat pretty well to fit what I was looking for. I'll absolutely go back.

There's also home and random items too. They have swim shorts out on the rack. Seems too soon, given how cold it is outside right now. The shoe aisle in the back left of the store reminded me of what I would see at a store. I didn't see a lot of decent quality boots from when I could tell. I walked further and at least found a whole wall socks. They at least had a smart wool socks and they were on sale for $13 a pair. I was able to buy almost $200 worth of socks for both of us. At least our feet will be warm the rest of the cool cold weather until spring returns. Might be good to swap out socks today, it's bitterly cold outside. The checkout area reminds me of a TJ Maxx or Marshalls. It announces when the cashier is free and their number for their counter.

Going downhill fast! Very disappointing trip to Nordstrom yesterday. After purchasing a dress on…read moreclearance from the juniors department, I realized they had left the plastic piece on the dress that can only be removed by the store. The second floor had next to no one available anywhere. I went to the juniors department, where I had purchased the dress, and was met with an associate who was on a personal call, and then very curtly told me that she "could not help" because she was now clocking out after concluding her personal phone call on her cell phone. I had to wait for her to wrap up her personal call before she shared her message of not being able to help with me. She then sent me to the other side of the store and said they were plenty of registers open. Well, not exactly. I did come across a nice associate, who was apparently in training, but she, too could not help me. She left to try to find someone who could help me. Another employee in training explained to me that it was not the employee in training's fault that she couldn't help me. I explained that I understood that and was then met with yet another Nordstrom employee, who appeared confused about my request. He, too, was going to get someone, or he said I could go to Customer Service. I decided to go to Customer Service where I asked if they could remove the plastic piece, and if she could check if there was another size in the dress as the original was slightly too big. While she was explaining to me that it was sold out, she actually opened up a piece of candy in front of me and started eating it. At this point, I said, I just wanted to return the dress altogether. All of this hassle for a one item return. Add to that, the reason I even went back was because they had left the large plastic piece (theft deterrent) on the dress. it was such a lackluster and disappointing visit to the store. I actually prefer Macy's at this point as they have far more help on the floor and they have a better energy in their store. The energy inside of Nordstrom was flat, and no one seemed excited or happy to be performing their job. Very disappointing experience. Based on this experience, I have decided that I am no longer a Nordstrom shopper.

This is the Nordstrom Rack across from Twelve Oaks. It's a decent size store. The store was very…read moreneat and tidy. The Nordstrom Racks back home are a bit messier. They had some pretty nice clothing. What I loved most was their huge shoe section. I saw a pair of sneakers that I really wanted, but there was no room in the suitcase. The hubby purchased some soap to use while we were there. They had a lot of bath items and cosmetics.

It's definitely a location where a lot of stuff is out of order and seems just thrown together, but…read moreon some rare occasions, you'll find some great bargains. The service is great and typically smooth sailing, but can be some issues with sale items not ringing up properly. Wish they would rotate out old items and replace them with others more often.

The store was well-stocked, lots of choices and selection, displays that showed care and pride. Service was friendly and helpful and they had associates within each section. There was a nice feeling browsing and eventually purchasing items. I always have nostalgia shopping here at this location, built in 1977 and this was a Hudson's store. Yes, that magnificence is but a memory. Mall shopping was a destination back then. I would still like to see and feel Macys rise up from some down years. 12 oaks is a beautiful mall and still a wonderful place to visit. I am happy to see Macys rejoining and having renewed energy. The customer service workers were extremely rude and unprofessional, made a big mess without following up on what we picked. The dress was beautiful but the material wasn't the best! My parents came with us to recheck something; nothing else was available. No one deserves to get disrespected or be mistreated like an animal! Everything turned out downhill from this shore!
