Ample parking with big outdoor covered patio for this Halal bbq joint. Friendly and casual place. Pluses 1. Brisket was lean, Mac and cheese very cheesy 2. Nice humus texture 3. Free soft serve ice cream Areas to improve 1. Limited menu - no chicken available during lunch on a Saturday. I thought the sausage and turkey were salty. 2. Price point high - $70 for two for lunch and tea Come here if you are close by and very hungry, not sure I would travel to eat bbq here.

Food looked so good but prices did not. We got the $100 sampler platter. They are halal so no pork. Sausage was weird-- kinda dry and the inside fell into pieces. It had cheese in it. The other meats-- chicken, turkey and brisket were good. Overall pretty good experience. They're opening one in sugar land closer to me. Not sure I'll visit it again though as I've had better bbq

Levant BBQ is a halal style Texas BBQ fused with Mediterranean and Levantine flavors. Upon entering you are greeted with a huge open interior with modern spaces and can see the front line of the kitchen where they will prepare a plate of barbecue and sides of your choices. Their jalapeño cheese sausage was honestly the biggest hit for me over the brisket. Also, their sides are good. The seasonings on the barbecue meat in my opinion were a bit underwhelming and didn't give me a strong impression of the flavor profile, however, kept the rating high due to the quality texture.

Tried Levant BBQ (@levantbbq) for the first time recently, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming with a great outdoor setup and super friendly staff that made the experience even better. We ordered the Habibi Feast, which is perfect for sharing and gives you a little bit of everything. It came with brisket, turkey, chicken, and sausage--and every protein was cooked to perfection. The brisket was tender with a beautiful smoke ring, the turkey was juicy, and the chicken had a great flavorful crust. For sides, we went with mac and cheese, creamed corn, potato salad, and fried okra. Honestly, all of them hit--especially the creamy mac and cheese and the fried okra, which had a perfect crunch. We also tried the brisket shawarma, and that was a standout. It's a really cool fusion of Texas BBQ and Mediterranean flavors--smoky, saucy, and packed with flavor in every bite. Overall, this spot brings a unique twist to traditional BBQ with its Mediterranean influence. Great food, great service, and a solid atmosphere--definitely a place I'll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you're in Houston and want something different from your usual BBQ spot.

This is quickly becoming our favorite day date place. The meat is halal and delicious. We didn't have to wait long for our food, because you just go down-the-line and choose what you want. And so that makes it perfect if you don't have much time for a quick date. Everything is already cooked to perfection. We ended up not getting the ribs, because of the weight of them, but we did get the lean brisket and the fatty brisket and the lamb chops. Unfortunately, the fatty brisket tastes delicious and so we have to get more of that next time! We will definitely be getting that over the lean brisket. Lamb chops are usually my favorite thing, but I did not like the smokiness of them. Personally, I wouldn't not get them again. I love that they had refills for their drinks, can I especially like that they had ice cream. I definitely needed something a little sweet after all that savory. All of these things absolutely sealed the deal for me and I can't wait to see them again soon!

First time trying this place with my family while visiting from out of state, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is clean, with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. The service was warm and welcoming, our server Jana was really nice. The food was excellent. We loved the brisket, and the fact that it's halal is a major plus. Overall, a great experience.

We had a great experience at this bbq spot. The brisket melts in your mouth, the Mac n cheese was creamy, and the staff was very kind and hospitable.

Everything we tried was delicious especially the jalapeño cheddar sausage. We also ordered the brisket and chicken. My favorites were the chicken and sausage. The chicken wasn't your typical seasoning either. The sides we had were beans and hummus. The beans were flavorful and the hummus could have been served with a side of pita or chips. That and a little brisket were the only things left over. They also offer self serve soft ice cream. I thought it was very creamy and delicious. Not sure if it's because I hadn't had ice cream in a while or if it was really that good.

I am not sure if I got served the same food that all these other influencers on social media are posting because my brisket was salty, my chicken dry, and the sausage even drier that it almost broke my fork. I hate to write negative reviews but I honestly feel like not even the sides made up for the fact that the food was either salty or just dry. The brisket I got was kind of smoky but extremely salty and fatty. I liked that it wasn't totally dry like their chicken and the sausage. The chicken had a lot of smoky flavor but I didn't really taste anything else from the rub. Thankfully it was tender so I was able to enjoy that with the pomegranate sauce from their self-serve condiment bar. The sausage was extremely dry and had no flavor. I didn't know what I was eating. As far as the sides go we got the mac and cheese, the cucumber and dill yogurt, the potato salad, and the coleslaw. The mac and cheese was just ok. The potato salad was probably my favorite thing that I tried along with the yogurt side with the cucumber and dill. The coleslaw had a slightly warm temperature so I am not sure if it was supposed to taste like that or not but it just didn't taste right to me. I would love to go back and give them another chance because everyone was super friendly and were able to answer my questions when I was in line. They did get busy when we were halfway done with our meal and the food looked better and fresher for these folks as they were coming out to sit down.

Everything is 10/10!!! I recommend the habibi platter for a larger group - you get to try a little bit of everything. Our group was large and the staff was very organized and accommodating. They were open on Christmas day. We enjoyed a one meat plate with 2 sides. The sides were fried okra and hummus and sliced moist end brisket....tasty. My wife got her a loaded baked tater with a side of fried okra.

If it wasn't for the service I would've easily given this spot a 2, but they were very friendly and helpful. I decided to give this place a try after hearing that they have good bbq and to be honest it might've been a bad day but it did not exceed my expectations at all. I decided to order their 2 meat plate that comes with 2 sides. I got their moist brisket, sausage, Mac & cheese, saffron rice & 1 baklava. My friend ordered the brisket sandwich along with some cream corn. * moist brisket- not very smoky nor enough bark to call this a good brisket but it wasn't bad. I did like that it was tendered & fatty. 3/5 * sausage- terrible. Extremely dry like it's been in the smoker for days. Probably the worst sausages I've ever had. Even the store ones taste better. It was so bad that I had to toss it in the trash. 0/5 * Mac & Cheese- it was a little too runny for my liking. Not that creamy or cheesy. It also didn't have any flavor. But passable for a cafeteria Mac & Cheese. 2/5 * Saffron rice- simple. Tasted like yellow rice. 1.5/5 * Brisket sandwich- the bread wasn't toasted but it was good in quality. Decent portions of brisket. 3/5 * cream corn- probably the best thing they had to offer. It was creamy but not as sweet since I think they added cheese into the corn. 3.5/5 * baklava- not bad. Crispy and flaky. 3/5 * bbq sauces- both were decent. Tangy & vinegary. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with my experience at this location. The food didn't live up to the hype. The portions were a bit small for the price & didn't match up with the quality. The ambiance is chill & they have a good amount of seating. Will I come back? Not any time soon but I'll give them one more chance.

Nice BBQ, all meat options are halal. It is a station style, order the meet then add sides to your plate. Brisket is good, not perfect. It could have been if it had less fat and more fresh. Sausage is ok, not perfectly fresh neither. Sides are ok, potato salad was very good. Lamb and ribs are separate. Beef ribs were good per my friend. Service is classic, nice welcome. The ambiance is really good, inside and terrace seating options. read more

Wow. Definitely on the higher priced side. We got two feast and a bunch of sides. We were a party of 20. Are outside which was hot but not bad. Flies were definitely a nuisance. Meat was delicious. Brisket was my fav. Loaded fries with cheese garlic sauce and brisket was really good. Mac and cheese, humus, corn, and couscous salad were good. Not a fan of the Cole slaw or potato salad. Service was good. Would definitely go back. read more

Great food, but messy service and really skimpy portions. $24 for two meats but they give you two slices of brisket and a fat thing of chicken. People come to a BBQ for brisket and two slices is just shameful really. The mac and cheese is not very good, and it would be nice to have cones for the soft serve ice cream as well. read more

Service was very warm and friendly. Their lamb leg fell off the bone, the brisket was really good and the right balance of meat and fat, and the japapeno sausage was the dark horse for me, and a fave. You can get toum and hummus on the side and the fried okra was perfectly crisply cooked. The barboussa drinks was a dose of nostalgia for me too. Great open space, with shaded patio seating outside. Review: (5/5) At first, I wasn't sure about stopping at Levant BBQ, but I'm so glad I did. The moment I walked in, the smell of BBQ hit me--smoky sausage, brisket, and all the right flavors in the air. That alone let me know I made the right choice. The food did not disappoint. The meat was cooked to perfection--tender, juicy, and literally falling off the bone. Every bite was packed with flavor. On top of that, the staff was incredibly kind. I ended up being a dollar or two short on my tab, and instead of making a big deal about it, they still gave me my food and drink without hesitation. Overall the staff was friendly, but too many were focused on their phones and not on the customers. The brisket was tasty, but I paid $27 dollars for 2 small slices of brisket and about 1/4 pound of beef sausage. There is no way they should sell you a 2 meat plate and only give you two about 7" long slices of brisket. The place has a large outdoor space that seems inviting for nice weather days, but even good ambiance can't make up for being served such small portions. read more

I came here on grand opening day to get some takeout! I got the loaded baked potato with brisket, and I also picked up a brisket plate with Mac and cheese, creamed corn, and fried okra for my brother. We both really enjoyed the food! Tried this place for the first time with a group of 8 of us. They were super accommodating to our large group and reserved a table for us. The moist brisket and beef rib were SOO tender. I walked a mile from my hotel to try out Levant and I will say this: I will walk a mile again. The team here should be really proud of themselves for coming up with halal barbecue because this is a cuisine that is lacking generally and they do a wonderful job here. The brisket was moist and tender and hit the.spot (and I have had some top quality brisket all over the country). The sides were fresh and had great flavor to them. More than anything they put their soul into the service here and what they produce and that is a testament to how much they desire to offer quality. The ambiance and setting is great and there's plenty of seating to go about. Keep it up guys! Will definitely be back! read more

Wow! I was impressed with the selection of BBQ, and the taste of everything I ordered. I'm looking forward to trying all the different sausage options to compare. I got the wet brisket and jalapeño sausage. Both were amazing. Smoke Master just said he had won Top 10 at Houston Rodeo and I can see why. Sides all looked great, I got the Baked Beans, amazing, little heat. And the cream corn, so much flavor. Table next to use said the Mac n Cheese was wonderful also. Food was not good from the things I selected. Brisket was dry and not tasty, jalapeño cheese beef sausage left a lot to be desired and also dry. One thing that was unforgivable being a Mediterranean restaurant was how bad and sour the hummus tasted. I get the allure that it's a halal bbq spot and there's not that many around but don't just stand on that to make crappy overpriced bbq. Service was good though so that's why I'm giving an extra star. Also just noted that this seems like an influencer hyped restaurant. Shame influencers have destroyed the Houston food scene. read more

The brisker was devine! It was so soft and everyone in the establishment was so friendly and greeted is with such infectious happiness!! I should have asked but the Pit master I assume, was excellent on the board and gave us heaping servings. Again the brisket I'd like butter. Just tender juicy and delicious. I encourage everyone to visit! I'll definitely be back. Go early because beef ribs always go fast!! Thank you for making our first visit one that will definitely bring us back!! The restaurant is very clean and they bust the tables as soon as the guest leave, I love a clean restaurant with a great patio and beautiful interior!!! Well worth a visit!!! read more

Unfortunately, four member from our party of nine got food poisoning after eating dinner at Levant Saturday night. The bbq was good but unfortunately the tomato salad and side salad that all 4 of us ate had us all vomiting for 24hrs. Please be careful with the sides when eating there. read more

We have found a BBQ place that have the best beef ribs. We are from California Newport Beach so it's super hard when we move to Houston searching for BBQ beef ribs . I believe we have found it. Excellent food and the service was impeccable even though our order got mixed up and it was fix within minutes. Restaurant was very clean. Absolutely coming back. read more

I gave this place a try. This place is not as bad as all these bad reviews. It's not the BEST tasting bbq in Houston but it's not nasty. It's different if you're looking for a different style of bbq. It's Mediterranean spices and was seasoned well to me. Yea I can pass on the Mac n cheese, it was bland to me but nothing salt & pepper can't fix & the potato salad was just okay. I'd still eat here if I was in the area and had a taste for different tasting bbq. It's a nice spot overall read more

Guys come here! The food was absolutely phenomenal, I am cut tor words to describe the bliss I felt eating , their brisket, ribs, and sweet potatos. Not only the food was great , their custome service was great , they gave us complmentary ice cream and they provided to our needs perfectly. I highly recommend coming here to eat some Texas style brisket. if had to make one complaint , is that it had no television to watch sport games, like American foot ball, but it doesnt really matter anyways. read more

This BBQ place had great reviews so we decided to check it out. We will 100% eat here again. This is a Mediterranean place so no pork. Don't let that detour you. I am not a brisket fan normally but this was amazing. I got the two meat plate with brisket and dark meat chicken. They were some of the best BBQ I have ever had. The potato salad and Cole slaw were good. One of the best additions was the garlic sauce. So yummy! Small wait and staff were super nice. The restaurant is also very nice inside. read more

I can tell you this restaurant is clean neat you definitely won't find any hair in the food and the taste of the barbecue is really good It's not an overwhelming recipe. I don't really review BBQ because I might be Texan but BBQ just really is not my thing. I've been out of the country for a few weeks and when I returned I noticed this place finally opened and it was slam packed EVERYDAY. So I gave in and decided to grab some to go. Yall this brisket blew my mind! Out of the limited times I've had BBQ I can confidently say Levant has changed my mind on BBQ! The brisket literally falls apart and it has the perfect amount of fat. My family and I tried out Levant today and we're pleasantly surprised by how good all the meat was. We got the Levant Feast which includes brisket, beef rib, turkey, chicken, and sausage. Unfortunately they didn't have sausage on the day we went, but the rest of the meat was so good we didn't mind. The brisket was the star of the show. Up until now, Pinkerton's has been my favorite place to get brisket but Levant has officially replaced them. The beef ribs are better than the ones at Pinkerton. The sides were decent, but nothing to write hime about. We tried the okra, potato salad, beans, cole slaw, and the garden salad. The customer service was great and the free soft serve to finish off the meal was a nice sweet treat. The whole family loved it. Will definitely be back! Side note: The only thing that was a bit strange was that they didn't really have anything for us to eat on and seemed kind of confused when we asked. The food was served on wooden cutting boards but there was nothing for us to actually our individual portions on. We were given the little paper boats that they use for sides when we asked. The lamb neck is unreal--tender, rich, cooked to absolute perfection. As someone who thinks brisket is usually overrated, theirs was spot-on and full of flavor. The beef rib? Insane. Huge, juicy, and melts in your mouth. Everything is halal, no pork on the menu. But the turkey sausage, packed with Mediterranean spices, more than makes up for it--super flavorful and unique. We made the drive from Austin to check out Levant BBQ in Houston, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance struck us -- the interior decor is so charming, with cowboy boot vases and cute little lamps that add a cozy, unique touch. The outdoor seating area is immaculate, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. The BBQ here is top-notch. The brisket is flavorful and tender, and it's amazing to find such high-quality halal BBQ. But what really sets Levant BBQ apart are the sides. So many BBQ places focus just on the meat, but Levant offers fresh, delicious sides like their bean quinoa salad and other vibrant options. The worst barbecue we have ever experienced. If we could have given less than one star to write a review, we would have. The brisket is so grainy and dry even after you add some sauce. Hope you don't come from Texas way you've experienced great barbecue, this is the worst and especially at their high price. We tried it first and will never come back. read more
