I am a fan. My wife and I had a date here a couple weeks ago. Although the bench seating was slightly uncomfortable, I could barely notice as I was completely consumed my the gaze on my beautiful wife. we had the shrimp appreciate which was very tasty just wished there was more than 3 shrimp! And the brócoli app was our favorite item from the night with the egg yolk in the middle. I believe it was a salad actually. In any event it was delicious. We shared a large portioned fish and chips. I just love this place. We went for the first time last night and everything was perfect. The bar is a bit small... maybe 10 seats? So you should probably get a reservation if you're coming on the weekend. The restaurant portion was spaced out pretty nicely. And of course they have the adorable porch to dine outside. We tried the beignets which were amazing, then my husband had the letty burger and I had the KFC sandwich. First everything was cooked perfectly. The KFC sandwich had sooo much flavor. Stopped in Sunday afternoon for a drink. Bartender introduced me to green chartreuse to sip with my beer, the wife had a properly crafted coffee cocktail. Top notch bar knowledge and service. Kitchen closes for menu change over in the afternoon, a standard for fine dining. Despite a closed kitchen the owner went back and made me the best pizza I've had in kennet square! Finally got a chance to check out Letty's. Had reservations and were promptly seated. Our waitress was knowledgeable on the specials and cocktail list. Not a huge beer selection but they had various styles and a few locals. Had the cheese selection which was excellent. For mains I had the Cubano which was spot on and my wife had the Cavatelli in mushroom ragu which she said was tasty. Staff all around were attentive and we even noticed them bring a child who was sitting outside with his parents a blanket when he was cold. The mushroom pizza was great. The drinks were good, as was our server Kristin - even on the busy mushroom festival Saturday. The mushroom soup was good. We enjoyed the live music. We were disappointed with the cheese board. The amount of cheese and bread were quite small for $21, I wouldn't recommend. They need to rethink the option. read more

We went for dinner based on the recommendations we read here on Yelp. We were very disappointed to say the least. The menu is very limited. The drinks are very expensive ($14). The scallop dinner ($21) came on a plate with THREE scallops and few slices of shaved zucchini. It looked like an appetizer, not a dinner as advertised on the menu. The steak ($30) came with TWO small fingerling potatoes and ONE piece of broccolini and the steak was over cooked. Fish and chips was mediocre and also expensive for what you got. This should have been told to us when we sat down so we would've known this when trying to choose from a very limited menu Ordered an IPA was given a hard cider. Two stars means "could have been better" per Yelp, which is exactly what our experience was. Our party of four was greeted promptly and we were shown to a lovely table in the corner by a window. It was explained to us that only two menus were available and as soon as another table finished with theirs, she's be back with two more. Before ordering, the waitperson came over to let us know that no pizza was available. This wasn't a problem as we were there for Sunday brunch. She then took our drink order, but apologized that they couldn't make a Bloody Mary. Two of the four of us liked their entree selection, but the others of us were disappointed with our "breakfast sandos." On the menu it was described as a "house English muffin, egg, white cheddar, etc." When our sandos arrived they were on a large brioche, which is quite different from an English muffin- much more bread and not easily eaten by some - us included. When we asked why the change, we were told the "menus are old." After some initial confusion as to why we may have not been OK with the change in bread, our plates were returned to the kitchen and brought back a few minutes later with the replacements on English muffins. But by that time the egg, white cheddar, etc. were cold. Oh well. I hope your experience will be better! read more

So my family just got dinner at Letty's Tavern on their opening night and it rocked. We recently moved from West Chester because the college vibe kinda overwhelmed the whole scene but we were missing the restaurants there big time. Most of the restaurants we've been to in Kennett Square so far were on the stuffy side and served food that I haven't eaten since the 80's. Their drinks were garbage too. Letty's restored a historic house and redid the whole inside. Looks great! The servers were attentive and could make credible recommendations on the menu. The food was ridiculously great and had inspired spins on traditional food like an Asian style fried chicken sandwich. The drinks were strong, modern and tasty. The owner's partner was the Pastery chef so we tried the cake and was moist and yummy. My wife and I were dueling with our forks over the last piece. The owner (Jacob) stopped by to all the tables and checked on how folks were doing. Love to see the passion of a new business owner who really cares about his customers. Ballsy for them to open with COVID still killing business left and right. Show this dude some support and enjoy a kick ass meal while you're at it. read more

VERY Disappointed! Incredibly slow service. An hour and 20 minutes after we were seated we were finally served our meals. And that was after we were told they were out of about 1/3 of all of the menu items! And the excuse of "oh, it's a scratch kitchen" doesn't fly! If you can't plan to have enough inventory on hand for Fathers Day you have no business being in the restaurant business! To continue, the wine pours were light and over priced....and they were out of several draft beers. The portion size on the cavatelli was embarrassing small and under cooked. I came here off of a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The cocktail menu was incredible and detailed! You can also tell these guys love Chartreuse. The Short rib was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. You also HAVE to get all the breads *mushroom tops the list though*. We were in town because we were visiting Longwood Gardens. We stopped in afterwards for dinner. I was worried because the people infront of us had reservations and the restaurant seemed busy. I didn't realize that reservations were recommended. The hostess was very nice and said she could move some things around and get us seated. The restaurant vibe was warm and welcoming. I loved the fireplace and Christmas decorations. The menu was kind of small and I wasn't sure if my 10 year old daughter was going to like anything on the menu. We decided to get the duck poutine as a starter. It was so good, my daughter actually really enjoyed it as well. Our waitress told us they could also make a skillet of mac and cheese which was not on the menu. My daughter got that and claimed it was the best restaurant mac and cheese she's ever had. I had the eggplant parm pizza which was a popular dish last night, I saw many tables ordering it. I liked it, but it didn't have any mozzarella cheese on it. There was just a small dusting of Parmesan on top. When I order pizza, I want it to be cheesy so that could have been a little better. My husband ordered a burger. It was a little pricey but it was very good quality beef and cooked to a perfect medium rare. The pickles looked homemade and it was on a nice buttery brioche bun. It came with the most delicious and crispy homemade fries. This burger was definitely worth the $20. I also ordered a special holiday cocktail. (Sorry can't think of the name of it) It had vodka and cranberry juice and a lemony flavor to it. It was garnished with fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig. It even had a couple ice cubes with a cranberry frozen inside, nice touch! What a gem! First time to Kennett Square to visit Longwood Gardens and wanted a brunch spot before our tour. Our table wasn't quite ready as they were understaffed that day, so we sat at the bar and ordered a couple of cocktails. I had the ovc 3.0 which had cranberry juice and a sprig of rosemary. Festive and delicious and the bartender was awesome. We were seated and ordered the boba ganoush which was amazing, an eggplant small plate which was also amazing, mushroom soup which was good, and the broccolini Caesar which unfortunately a bit of a miss as it was just too spicy/peppery for us. The hardworking staff were smart, friendly, and doing extremely well especially given they were a little short handed. Overall, a great experience and I would be a regular if I lived nearby. read more

Don't waste your time. Dinner on a Saturday night. Our experience starts with being told a few items aren't even on the shortened menu. The food that did come out was small and not very good. My husband ordered one of the "specials". It seriously looked like buttered pasta. And for $200 I just had hoped for more. The service was awful. I was without a drink most of my dinner. It finally came after we paid and started to put our coats on. Tip: if you go... and get seated at the table in the front window... ask to be moved. Absolutely delicious food and amazing service all around. We came to visit some family from out of town and ordered quite the array of plates, and I simply could not complain about a single one. The chicken wings were deliciously crispy. The fall menu featuring the mushroom ragu was unbelievably yummy with the perfect kick! Nothing beats handmade pasta. Fantastic food and drinks. This is my second time going there and I haven't been disappointed. Servers are friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the white pizza on my first visit which I highly recommend. This time we did the Mother's Day brunch (not sure if they're offering brunch regularly) and got the fancy version of a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich (I think it was called "pigs in zen"?) which was outrageously good.
