Kids pizza, huge!
Amanda L.

Decent service as far as they were so pleasant but not supper attentive for things like water refills. Cute space and great for families. Food was a hit for the whole family including vanilla ice cream that they so graciously accommodated with a side of chocolate sauce. My tiramisu was forgotten, but, worth the wait when we did get their attention. We will be back for another visit next time!

Lovely ambiance, food and service! Everyone was so nice and accommodating, and the food was fantastic! I had the mushroom po'boy and a salad, and it was wonderful without feeling heavy

Stopped here with a friend for a late lunch this weekend. We arrived around 3:30pm and were the only patrons in the restaurant. They had a good selection of beverages, my friend got some bourbon and I tried a local lager. We each opted for a burger. She opted for a smash burger with bacon, and I opted for the Kennett Square burger. The onion jam on my burger was super yummy, and my burger was juicy, but it needed salt and there were no condiments on any of the tables. It was also a bit pricy at $22 for a mushroom Swiss burger. My friend also enjoyed her burger, but it was pricy at $20 for a cheeseburger with sliced onions. The service was surprisingly slow for an empty restaurant (the waiter and bartender were talking with a friend at the bar). Overall it was a good lunch, but I'm not sure I'd come back the next time I'm in the area.

I really enjoyed eating outdoors at Letty's Tavern. If you are inside then you have a choice of live music on the first floor, mostly modern Nashville style, or a more quiet second floor indoors. However, I chose to be outside twice which is on a terrace overlooking State Street. The food includes both bar standards and creative ideas including several non-meat choices. The bus boy is incredibly hilarious, speaking in different accents and who otherwise appreciates humor. I ordered mushroom soup, mushroom pizza, pear salad, and a few other non-meat dishes and they were all excellent with fresh ingredients and well -chosen spices. I liked it enough to return two weekends in a row.

Disappointing start to finish. Rude hostess. Food mediocre. Service poor. Music way too loud. We will never go back!

Service is really terrible. No eye contact by servers. Very indifferent to their customers. Second time here and is not getting any better.

The food we had was fine. The mussles and frites were good, I would have thought the fries come with the sauce but they didn't. The risotto was slight malt under seasoned. The beet salad was really tasty! This resturant is always thorough when it comes to allergies. They have a hard time with the two server communication aspect. I've been here twice and both times they seemed one beat off from each other. Also for having two servers they don't check on you often enough. That could also be a communication/timing thing. (if you think someone else was there or not) we only ordered one drink because we didn't want to wait after we finished our food to order another. The drinks here are fantastic though. We dined for 2 hours and only was able to order one drink and apps. We probably would have enjoyed more but personally I didn't have to time sit any longer. I would give them one more try but 202 is a pain and this might not be worth the drive with so many comparable options of fine dining in Wilmington.

We really enjoyed this event. We would like to go back and check out the other drinks on the menu as well as the food. Definitely bookmarked this spot for a return visit. My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Thursday afternoon after touring the State House. We each ordered the Monkey Smoke (Penicillin), and she ordered a small plate with avocado and lump crabmeat, which we ordered just in time as the kitchen closed between 3 and 4. The standout of the day for me was the old fashioned, made with plum bitters. One of the best old fashioneds I've ever had. The servers were all very friendly and quick. We will definitely come back the next time we're in town, and definitely recommend this to others.

*Indoor Dining Review*…read more We came here for brunch and wasn't expecting anything special, but we were all pleasantly surprised with the restaurant overall, food and service. Restaurant: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 ~Restaurant~ Just walking in the first impression is this place has a lot of history, the first floor looks like a typical bar/restaurant type setup, with a ton of wall arts. There's also an option to sit upstairs with semi-open air (Can be close using garage doors..yes garage doors), which we chose since it was a really nice day. Everything's clean apart from the sticky tables. ...Also the check they give you at the end is in a book (Shown in the picture). Love the idea. ~Service~ Our waitress is very friendly, attentive and helpful. No complains here. ~Food~ What we order: -Breakfast Burrito (Delicious) -Crab Skillet (Very Delicious, highly recommended) -Crab Toast Breakfast (Delicious) -Smokehouse Skillet (Delicious) Overall all of the food we ordered are cooked nicely and seasoned, and the portion is just perfect. I was a little worry with the price of crab dishes (being a bit low to me) that we would get either intimidation crab or not enough if it is real crab. The crabs are real and plentiful. I was just telling my girlfriend how good the food is, and that we should go back for brunch again soon. Since there are a lot of other stores we can walk around and visit afterwards. I look forward to going back again.

Finding your way upstairs adds to the speakeasy-style charm. The reception area alone sets the vibe: playful, stylish, and full of photo-worthy moments before you even sit down. It feels like you've discovered something not everyone knows about. We went with the small plate prix fixe menu (three courses), and each dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and -- most importantly -- delicious. Every course left us wanting just a little more, which is exactly how a tasting-style experience should feel. Nothing felt rushed, and the pacing of the food was on point. Cocktails were also excellent, creative, well-balanced, and fitting for the ambiance. The only hiccup of the night was drink service being a bit slow. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but noticeable. Overall, a great Restaurant Week experience in a space that feels both intimate and fun. I'll absolutely be back to explore the full menu soon.

Little did we know that would be the continual theme as we were only given a choice of one of the 4 appetizers(one being warm olives) , two of the four entrees and ended up receiving what felt like the leftovers. It was truly a disappointing experience. Their manager let us know that because we prepaid there was nothing they could do that night. Just avoid this experience all together and perhaps find a date night somewhere you are able to spend time together rather than hangry.

Hummingbird to Mars is one of those rare places that reminds you why small businesses matter…read more Tucked away like a true speakeasy, it has an atmosphere that immediately pulls you in: low light, intimate corners, and a sense that you've stepped into a place where craft still means something. The bartenders are the heart of the experience. They don't just pour drinks; they create them. There's real skill and artistry behind the bar, and the conversation is as good as the cocktails. You can tell they care about balance, technique, and presentation. The Walk in the Garden gin cocktail is the perfect example: bright, layered flavors, premium ingredients, and that lavender garnish that hits your nose before the first sip. The scent alone sets the stage for the drink. It's thoughtful, elegant, and exactly what a craft cocktail should be. The food holds its own right alongside the drinks. The skillet meatballs come out tender and full of flavor, the kind of dish that disappears faster than you expect. The potato skins are crisp, satisfying, and exactly what you want with a cocktail in hand. And the homemade Baileys cheesecake is the kind of dessert you plan to share but end up guarding with your fork. It's rich without being heavy, with that unmistakable homemade touch. One of the best parts of Hummingbird to Mars is the tapas-style menu. You can eat as much or as little as you want, a couple of small plates with drinks, or a full progression from appetizers to dessert. It gives you the freedom to shape the night however you want, without committing to oversized entrées or predictable bar food. And that's the bigger point: places like this don't happen by accident. They come from creativity, risk-taking, and a commitment to doing things well. If we don't support small businesses that put this level of care into their craft, we'll be left with nothing but the same chains serving the same menus everywhere you go. Hummingbird to Mars is the antidote to that; personal, inventive, and genuinely memorable. From the first sip to the last bite, it's a place that delivers an experience, not just a night out. It's worth supporting, worth returning to, and worth celebrating.
