They were extremely helpful; not just with the heavy lifting, but also with strategic packing of the U-Haul truck (they made it look like a game of Tetris!) and making sure everything was placed exactly where we wanted it in our new home. Been remiss in reviewing them. We've used Sergio's team a half dozen times in the last 5 years: a full house move for us to two different storage units and a new house, a move for our daughter from TH to new house, and moving a storage unit from MoCo to 100 miles away. I see a lot of 1 and 5 star reviews and don't get the 1-star reviews. Sergio has been at every job and was fully engaged the entire time for each. We never had any of the issues I see in the other reviews - he's been communicative, had trustworthy staff, and did what he said he was going to do. Crew has changed over time, but Sergio has remained a constant guiding force - he's efficient and reasonably priced. We've also found him trustworthy - he's had keys to our homes and storage units, and we've never had any issues. I highly recommend LessTask. read more

I will try to make it short as I already wrote another google review. If you hire this company, expect that you may end up getting hassled. Sergio will threaten you to call a police on you if you refuse to release payment code before they finish loading/unloading. You may call their phone number but no one will answer but he sure will flood you with text messages! The helpers may end up walking slow or just sit in their car when they supposed to be helping you. They may complain that you don't have moving tools and you didn't reserve the elevators that you have no control over. And you may end up become an elevator door man. You may need to keep reminding them to be careful with fragile items but then you may see them pilling heavy boxes on the top of your fragile items containing box. Oh, you may also see them sending pictures to their manager every often so that they can stop at the right truck load marker. I may not be a good judge of characters but I don't think they're bad guys but they are shaped to play this game so I'm not blaming the helpers here. I'm criticizing the management and what I actually experienced. I actually released the code and tipped the very movers who decided to stop at 5pm on the dot before completing the promised two hours work. Oh, they actually claimed they arrived at 3pm but didn't see them by the ramp until 3:15 and didn't get out of their car until 3:25p.m. After all, we're all a working progress. I used them for a move. Afterward, over $16,000 dollars of jewelry and cash for missing from my house. The owner could not (or would not) provide the full name of the person assigned to the move, and he was unaware that the person he assigned to the move had someone else do the work. I wish I could give this company zero stars. I'm shocked at all the 5 star reviews, I wonder if reviews are being deleted. Anyway, here's my experience with LessTask. I found LessTask on movinghelp.com via U-Haul. I scheduled a same day unload. Sergio reached out and told me he would have two workers (Ken and Dre) available to unload at 4pm. I was very grateful and appreciative as it was a same day unload. The guys arrived 15 minutes late. No big deal. Again I'm still appreciative that I could find loaders last minute. I showed the guys the truck and told them there was a marble slab desk on the truck and to be extremely careful with it because I didn't want it to accidentally get broken. Ken proceeded to pick the desk up by the marble and it starts coming apart. I tell Ken to pick it up from the legs and again Ken proceeds to pick the desk up by the marble. The desk is now in pieces and with one of the pieces in his hand, he throws the drawer on the ground and says "man I don't have time for this today!" I give him a look and he says, "we will either put the desk back together or replace it but don't act like I don't move furniture everyday all day." Now I'm pissed! I asked Ken if there was a problem because I hadn't said anything to him and I wasn't going to tolerate being talked to like that. He told me not to get caught up in technicalities because even though I didn't physically say anything my expression said a million words. Ken proceeds to say that's why he doesn't like working for BLACK PEOPLE. Ken also said I wasn't his BITCH and he's not going to go back and forth with me. I should have stopped the move then but I didn't. Fast forward, Ken is not working anymore and Dre is moving everything ALONE one small box at a time. Fast forward, my time has expired and Sergio text me to ask if I need additional time. I proceed to tell him what's been happening and his response was Ken and Dre are his best workers and they have never received a complaint before. Soooo am i lying? Sergio told the guys to stop working and to leave. I had to flag the guys down because they were literally pulling off with some of my items mid route (on the ground, in the elevator and in the hallway). Fast forward, I reach out to Sergio on how to resolve this issue. Sergio offered to refund me 30 minutes of work. I told him I didn't like that idea, it wasn't fair to both parties and countered another solution. Sergio then proceeds to tell me he only gets a percentage of what U-Haul and Movinghelp charges and wants to me to cancel the order and pay him directly at a 50% discount. I told Sergio I wasn't comfortable paying him directly and I would pay him through the app. To me Sergio was attempting to save face and to keep movinghelp out of the loop. I reached out to MobingHelp, opened a case and my money has been refunded to me as well as movinghelp is working on a resolve surrounding the entire situation. If you choose to use them, I help your experience was better than mine. AT THIS TIME I CANNT AND DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE USE THIS COMPANY!!! read more

I am reminded to write this review every time I pass by my damaged couch, damaged by the Less Task movers. I am surprised by the 5 star reviews. No way! Three stars is being generous. I found Less Task through the Uhaul movinghelp.com website. Sergio and I had a lengthy conversation about my needs for my upcoming move from Maryland to Florida. We scheduled a day for he and a helper to pack my 15' U-haul. When that day came, Sergio was not there. In his place were two other men who arrived twenty minutes late. My dismay first started when I saw one of the men carry the smallest, lightest box I had, downstairs, without anything else. Since they charge by the hour ($160+ tip for two hours), I knew this was going to be a long day at that rate. I asked the men if they had a dolly (to be able to carry more than one "small" box at a time like all of the previous movers I had hired had done). One of the men said he did not believe in dollies and preferred to hand carry the boxes to strengthen his muscles and get an aerobic workout. (ridiculous) I took pictures of the damaged couch and one man told me to also take pictures of my narrow hallway. I asked that same man to be sure his hands were clean when he carried one of my unframed pictures, to which he very rudely replied, "My hands are clean! If they aren't its from your dirt. I wash my hands after I use the bathroom."I wanted that man out of my house! He did not know how to disassemble my bed frame and damaged both the walls and the ceilings carrying them down the stairs. I'm not going to bother with any more of the details. I found the movers inexperienced and lacking the much needed "puzzle", tight spaces common sense required when successfully moving someone's belongings. We hired these guys for 3 hours to load our truck & they were finished in 2 hours. You would think we would be grateful; however...these guys didn't stack a thing! There were major gaps between items...and they also tossed our heavy metal chairs on top of boxes. We had to unpack 2/3rds of what they did in order to get all our stuff on the truck. Where to begin... Super responsive when I first reached out. Sergio was friendly, and polite. He answered all of my questions and was patient with my concerns. Sergio has helped my family with two internal moves within the past year. The first move was relocating my dad from the 5th floor to the 1st floor. This move involved taking my sister from the 1st floor to the 2nd, but involved two small sets of stairs when crossing the lobby. These guys are fantastic to work with. I found them through uhaul movinghelp and it was fairly a last minute service request. I received a call from Sergio within an hour of requesting the service. He was very polite and prompt. We fixed the time and later I got a text from Sergio with the details of who is shoeing up and when. Until this point it was perfectly timed. The day when the service was requested arrived and I received a call from Steve who was showing up for the moving services. He arrived half an hour earlier than the scheduled time and it was definitely a plus as I wanted to have my stuff moved ASAP. Steve was very polite, prompt, friendly yet professional, quick and careful while handling the stuff. He made sure all my belongings have been moved into my apartment before leaving. My husband and I needed unloading help at our new home in Maryland and we found Lesstask through a vendor website. I requested services at what I would consider near the last minute (on a Thursday night, when we needed help the Saturday morning that followed). Sergio and I communicated by Friday afternoon what our Saturday unloading plan would be; I emailed him or text him the information he needed (overall specs like: address, time frame, how many boxes to expect, etc.) and we were good to go from there. When Saturday rolled around, Sergio was in communication and I did not realize that the vendor website I chose put LessTask in the radius of my unloading location when it was technically outside their perimeter of service. Even with that, Sergio decided to continue working with us and for that I am grateful! My husband met with Sergio and his work partner and my husband shared that they were both rockstars and did an excellent job. Once the Uhaul truck was unloaded, Sergio communicated with me to let me know they were all finished and confirmed the payment code. My husband and I were very happy with the services provided and would totally use them again if a future need arises.
