I have been in LOVE with my parent's dining room set since I was a child. Many wonderful holiday memories revolved over setting the dining room for formal meals. Recently, my mother decided to downsize and move closer to me - she gifted me the fabled dining room. Whilst still in love with the furniture, the fabric she chose didn't work for our house. I found MC Interiors & Fabrics online as still relatively new to our home. Their reviews were fantastic. Not only are their prices reasonable, their workmanship is PHENOMENAL and done quite quickly. I have a huge sofa and only sit in one place on it, called the cuddler. Over the years, the cuddles cushion and back pillow wore down a lot. I used fillers and boards from Amazon and finally decided to get new cushions. MC Interiors had great reviews on YELP so I contacted them. What a fabulous company! It took around 10 days and my sofa has a new life! That includes my life too! I love how it feels sitting in my place again! The staff there was very polite and knowledgeable about what I needed. Because I'm such a newbie to anything reasonably sophisticated (like home decor, upholstery, interior design and the like), I worried that I'd feel out of place in my work with this kind of company. My father gave me two mid century modern side chairs that he had owned since the 70s. The look of them was great but he hadn't taken care of them - he had kept them in the garage for years and water damage weakened their structure and there were tears in the cushion vinyl. They needed reupholstering, refinishing, and repair. Kevin at MC Interiors made all that easy and did a great job. MC has tons of different fabrics to choose from and they work with someone who refinished furniture so we didn't need to try to coordinate with two vendors (which seemed to be an issue with other places we looked). I took two lounge chairs to MC Interiors: one was reupholstered, one got a slipcover. The reupholstery job went well, but unfortunately the handling of the slipcover negated that. The slipcover was very ill-fitting and sloppy. The maker allowed no fabric to tuck in, so that it cannot stay in place. Seams that should be hidden are visible. The back of the cover is too short and the front is too long, making it look like it's on wrong. There are unnecessary pleats in the front, which appears to be just poor planning as though the corner seams were closed before the fabric was tightened. It's just very loose all around. I was assured that this chair would look as good as reupholstered, and it is nothing of the sort. I lived with the chair for 2 weeks before saying anything to Kevin; I really wanted to give it a shot. But it's a mess. The attached photos show the chair after about 1 hour of use. We fully retuck it about 5 times a day. Kevin was so helpful in the planning for the chairs that I really thought that bringing this poor work to his attention would be addressed in a reasonable way. It was not. Though he agreed that reupholstery would be the better solution than attempting to fix the slipcover (at additional expense to both of us), in one email he seemed to be scoffing at the idea that he'd refund any piece of it rather than spend more: "You've purchased a service, not a product and the service already has been rendered." My last email was simply ignored. A very unfortunate resolution to what could have been a pretty easy fix. read more

Another Excellent Experience! Kevin J- @ M C Interiors and his staff re-upholstered six dining chairs in 2 days. The old fabric had been destroyed by a flood from the second floor of our home. I brought them in a Tuesday and picked them up Thursday. Wonderful craftsmanship. This company knows how to make customers very satisfied with the end product. I had the most amazing and pleasant experience with MC Interior. There are so many things I loved about the business. It is family owned and I can see the inside of the lively studio next to the showroom. It was just so exciting. The receptionist, Mark was very helpful and kind for me to give me tips for what fabric to look for. Kevin, the owner and the manager is so great about communicating and giving me a quote so fast on yelp message. He is very friendly and knowledgeable about fabrics and textiles. However what makes them the best is their cost! Among many other upholstery businesses I requested quotes on the same day through Yelp, MC Interior gave me almost the half of price of others. Both labor and my fabric were very affordable. When I visited the shop, I am surprised there are thousands of sample fabrics they carry and choose from. When I picked the fabric from their inventory, there was no extra cost or no waiting time. My seats were upholstered in only one day and I picked them up the next day. Unbelievable! We have a faux leather upholstered coffee table that was badly in need of a refresh. We got estimates from several other places, all ridiculously expensive, then we went to MC. Their quote was far and away the most affordable. The guys that picked up the table were very careful and professional, Kevin kept us in the loop as far as what progress was being made, and the table was brought back to us in a reasonable amount of time. The results were spectacular! The table, which was a time-consuming and, likely, very difficult job, looked even better than when we originally bought it ten years ago. My reupholstered chair turned out ok in the end, but what an ordeal! I picked swatches from the in-stock selection, took them home for my husband to see, brought them back and was told they didn't have the fabric we'd chosen. Twice that happened. So I chose another on the spot. Weeks later I come to pick up, and the chair has a big rip in front. So it had to be redone. when it was finally delivered, it came without the arm-slips I'd ordered. I'm STILL waiting for those, and they say they'll call back but don't so I have to keep calling them. Very expensive, too. I would never go there again. MC Interiors was my first call when researching places to replace the foam in my leather sofa cushions, based on their positive reviews on Yelp. Let me add anther 5-stars to their list! I spoke with Kevin who provided an estimate as I measured the cushions while we were on the phone. I told him I would call him back - had to check out a couple of more places for comparison - and after several unreturned phone calls and prices that were in the ballpark but not as good, I called Kevin and said I'd like to move forward. I dropped off the cushions that afternoon and Kevin was very helpful helping me to decide which firmness to choose which, surprisingly was not that easy! The next morning at 9:00 am - less than 24 hours later- I got a call from MC Interiors saying they were ready for pickup. What a beautiful job done and an altogether pleasurable experience - sitting on my sofa now feels the same as it did when it was new!
