Just heard from my guys that they were hassled at this store for requesting a water sample check. Very very very unprofessional. We send our clients to this store and two others all the time when they need to save on some money for parts/specialty chemicals. Especially pool sweep tune ups for cleaner we no longer carry parts for. After today's experience, I don't think I will be doing that anymore. Please, do better. read more

Leslie's corporation tells me water testing is free, store says u need to be buying things(Leslies charges way more than others, way more) So who is running the store Leslies corporation or some managers in individual stores who are posting signs about water testing. Also Leslie's offers price matching but they told me the product has to be a Leslie's product. DUH that doesnt make sense, Chlorine at same percentage as Leslies is over $2 cheaper at Walmart with same 10% ingredient factor , why arent they price matching, Also Walmart offers free same day delivery over $35, so stock up and get it there read more

Valerie, the manager worked really hard to get my pool cover replaced under warranty. It disintegrated after one year and because they're not using the same company she had to go through another company. I give them five stars and I'm very happy. read more

Leslie's - My new awkward pool cover 50 x 25 definitely not a standard cover great job Valerie and team at Store you guys came through - Hot Tub & Pool Near Me - Walnut Creek, California

I have been a customer of Leslie's for over 10 years, and have spent thousands of dollars there, but the inconsistency with the staff advice is mind-blowing, some know everything about pool maintenance but are not around when you need, and you have to deal with the ones that have no clue and make you spend 3x more in products that we don't need or are to be use after other products. It took me 3 visits to the store to finally give me a solution to my pool problem. One more thing they are charging us almost 2 times more than other places are. (for example, Taylor K-1004 - $59,00 and elsewhere $28.00). Please value your customers and you don't need to overcharge us in a market that is already expensive the way it is. read more

My pool was murky, chemistry all out of whack and I was losing my battle with algae. I was dumping chlorine and nothing was working. My problems existed at all levels....hardness, alkalinity, pH, turbidity, and most of all microbial. The kind and expert associates at Leslie helped me systematically isolate the problem, upgrade microbial control and target the real culprit which was ineffective filtration. I have attached an after picture, but no before, as frankly Im embarrassed :-). Special thanks to Valarie for her patience and knowledge and Leslie team of excellent service Pros led by Matt!! Moral, its not want you do....but how you do it! read more

Called a bunch of Leslie's this evening. It's Friday, 18-June. The lady who answered the phone was incredibly helpful! If only the turds at the other stores were half as useful people wouldn't be so upset. read more

Srsmith lists Leslie's as their dealer for ordering handrails. The guy who picked up the phone sounded like he just woke up, was clueless and unhelpful, and started arguing with me. Very rude. I will not shop at this store. read more

Total scammers. Don't buy from here because they gave me wrong info on my water test when I knew exactly what was in my pool but told me totally opposite of what I needed. Either they are flat out liars and cheats or totally incompetent about water testing. Either way, I would never, ever buy anything from these scam artists. If you would have told me the truth about my pool water, I would have bought chemicals from you, but you wanted to try to take advantage of someone who you thought you could scam. Lastly, I bought the chemicals I needed from Walmart, Home Depot, Ebay and Amazon for 1/2 price!!! read more

Came here to get my pump fix. Jennifer is very helpful and knowledgeable with the products. Ended up spending more, but in a delightful way that I'm able to use the pool again. Kudos To Jennifer! read more

Ariel is great - she helped me resolve an issue with our solar cover, and gave me the benefit of the doubt. she had a wonderful, helpful attitude, and she knew what she'd be able to do for us. I enjoy going into the store to talk with her, and I've also had good experiences with the other people who work there. A great store! read more

After my updated post on Yelp, I was contacted by Leslie's District Manager, Karyn's Fedchenko. Her remedy for this situation was to apologize for the poor service and offer me a $50 credit. I declined the credit and expressed my frustration once again that Leslie's continues to send misleading advertisements for spa covers with free shipping. I have received at least three additional emails with this offer since the original email when I discovered the unprofessional advertising practice. Clearly Leslie's is missing the point here. I'm done patronizing their business and a $50 credit is not going to change my mind. The ethical thing for Leslie's to do is to stop putting out advertisements for free shipping on spa covers and then not honoring the offer. If they continue with the advertisement as it appears they intend to do, I sincerely hope people are aware that it is misleading and do not purchase their products. read more

ok. I NEVER write YELP reviews. However, I feel like I just met my new pool friend /expert. The manager , Don, is the best and helped repair my pool sweep. Just really nice folks and customer service like we remember! read more

I was in Leslie's pool supply today and they always have a good amount of chemicals and supplies. They are pretty friendly for the most part, but the big problem they have is that they are always understaffed. Many times I go in there and find people lined up to get helped while their only employee is doing a pool water sample. Thats what happened today. If they are going to offer free pool chemical analysis, then they need to have an extra employee working. Again, the person was very friendly but there was nothing he can do. Cant help 5 people at once and expect everyone to be happy. I will go back, but will always allow extra time because of the short staff they often have. read more

The price of the tile cleaner on the shelf shows $18.99 but when rang up it was $19.99 before tax. When I told the cashier about the price difference, he tells me "It's only a dollar". Really?!! I guess these guys are not taught proper business practice. Needless to say, I asked for my money back and will never return to this store. read more

I used to go the store in Clayton all the time. I dropped in for some items for the pool and the guy behind the counter must have been having a bad day. He didn't really want to spend any extra energy and wasn't helpful. It's too bad, I live 3 blocks away but will now go the store in Clayton. It's pool supplies, so it's about customer service, knowledge and prices. I gave them an extra star since they are so close to me. Piss Poor, really and guess what, I am NOT having a bad day. read more

I've been coming in for the past month and it's a nice store. Jennifer is usually the one that helps me when i come in. She always gives great advice and is very helpful. My only problem is that there are alot of people in the store and there is only one person working. I'm not sure if this is because of the time I come into the store, but I do come in on the weekends and it's pretty busy. read more

My usual guys have a scheduling problem regarding repairs, so I thought I would try out Leslie's. Big mistake. I need a new pump apparently says the repairman who comes to my house. Ok so install one I say. Not so fast. I have to take in the order sheet to the local store, have them order it and then what happens then I have no idea because nobody can tell me. Meanwhile I have already waited two weeks for THIS appointment, and my pool is now green as grass. Last time I will ever shop here. read more

I would like to give thanks to Ariel and team as others did on the YELP reviews. This store has just been remodeled and is a show case. It has many new items and very easy to find. I came in and bought the new POLARIS P38 pool sweep. This item is made for Leslie's Pool stores and to thanks Ariel for her professionalism and product knowledge to help select it. The staff was really helpful in assisting me in helping me find what I needed I need a new filter cartridge and I wasn't sure what size I needed but they asked me for some dimensions and once I gave them the information required we were able to narrow it down to the right cartridge and I left the store with what I needed to get my pool up and running, five stars for sure :) read more

I've gone to this Leslie's for a number of years. Over the last year, however, I've noticed that every time I've been in there I have been pressured to buy more than I came in for. I had begun to feel that staff was being incentivized to up-sell. This week I went in with a question about pool staining. I described the problem to the clerk & he proposed a slew of chemicals to buy. When I pointed out that one of the products he recommended was for a vinyl pool & mine is a plaster pool, he pulled that one back with an "oh, yeah. You won't need that". I wish I had followed my instincts & walked out of the store right then, but I didn't. I bought two products for a total of $70 & was not told that they have started a "no returns on chemicals" policy. Although this was printed on the receipt, the clerk did not tell me that I would not be able to return the chemicals, nor was there a sign anywhere indicating such. After doing some research I decided not to use the products I had just purchased. When I tried to return them (4 days after purchase & unopened) I was told of the no returns policy. I find this to be ridiculous since I made the purchase based on an employee's recommendation & was not advised that I would not be able to return the products; I was returning the items within 4 days of purchase; and they were essentially new, unused & unopened. Needless to say, I won't go back. read more

Folks, all the things found at pool stores can be bought for half the price, (or even less), on Amazon. Leslie's is a total ripoff!

These guys seems more interested in hanging out in the back of the store than helping customers. I've also special ordered some products and had to call several times a just to find out they forgot to order it. I will try not to return. read more

Updating my review- I went back later in the week and told the store manager Ariel what had happened. She apologized and said that she would discuss this with the employee. She also said that she would have replaced the item if she were there, so I'm adding one more star due to the fact that she attempted to make amends. read more

love this Leslie's!!! the guys who work here are very nice and knowledgeable. I recommend all of my friends to shop here.

One of the best pool stores around. This is one of my favorite pool stores I've ever used. I drive 8 miles out of my way to buy at this store vs. their competitors. Reasonable pricing and knowledgeable sales people. Ariel, the store manager is the best! She's extremely knowledgeable about water chemistry balancing and pool equipment and is very patient explaining things to naive customers like myself. I highly recommend this store and make sure you ask for Ariel! read more

Just went in the other day to purchase a small item for my pool and I was met with misery. This is not my first encounter with the same unfriendly woman but she was definitely snappier than the last time, I guess it must be because during my last visit she didn't even respond to my question! Ariel the store manager is always friendly and nice, but I can't say much about that short haired brunette lady. I asked her the first time about where to leave my pool sample and she didn't even acknowledge my presence. I asked a question on my next visit and she was so rude and short with her response that it took me by surprise. I just wanted to get out of there. She really needs to get another job because she is clearly unhappy. She really will drive customers away with her nasty and rude attitude, her facial expression is not better either. Honestly, I rather drive further out than have to step back into the store, I don't want to walk back into misery again! read more

Why would I ever write a review on a pool supply store. I'm continually blown away by how they can stay in business. The staff is always very professional (likewise in Pleasant Hill, not so much elsewhere) their prices are fair and their service the strong point. I was in the Walnut Creek store for a bunch of obscure little parts. That girl behind the counter really knew her stuff. Thanks!

I've been in this store a couple times and each time I haven't left disappointed. Great job to the manager Ariel and her team for always pointing me in the right direction when I have a problem with my pool. The manager is definitely experienced and knowledgeable in the product she sells. I came here the other day originally in a bad mood because of the poor treatment I received from the Concord Store. However, She made me feel like a client rather than a customer which definitely impressed me. Definitely made me feel important as soon as I walked into the store. She definitely redeemed the company's image for me and I will definitely go out of my way and return here again. read more

I was looking for a Pool guy to come service my pool every week and my neighbors told me about Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies. I went to the website and found this location to be closer to my house. I walked in and they immediately acknowledged me, they were really friendly and, they know so much about pools that I couldn't believe. The manager was outstanding when I asked him a question he knew exactly what I was talking about. He handed me a water bottle and said that they do free water tests. After we talked for some time about my pool and how much I can save money by doing it my self, he gave me his card and told me I can call the store anytime if I need help with my pool equipment or anything. I am definitely recommending Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies especially this location anyways read more
