In store people are friendly & helpful. The DM helped me with an issue I had. Online/on phone customer service is the worst! Item is about 25-30lbs, I was told that shipping is free. They charged me $49.95 for shipping because on the phone they said it's over 100lbs (not true at all) generally when you pay over $35 or $100 shipping is free. This was over $600 with free shipping that only cost $49.95. They really need to fix their on phone/online issues. read more

Not thrilled that the Sandhills and Sunset location has decided customer service is optional. We had some questions and turned to them for their expert advice but were instead given subpar service and a condescending tone. We suspect that we have a leak and wanted some advice and help but instead we were told to call a plumber. We have been coming here for the last 3 years and when Philip was there we had no issues. Brian was rude, condescending and not helpful. He didn't even offer or suggest any of the leak detection products that Leslie's sells for the issue we came in for. read more

A few weeks ago I rushed to this Leslie's location. I got there at 6:01, right as it closed. The keys were in the door and the one guy working was on his way out. I run a pool service company - Five Star Pool Maintenance - and had three pools left on my schedule but ran out of chlorine tablets. I was dismayed that the place was closed but the worker, Phillip (who was very tired and worn out) unlocked the door and allowed me to buy a bucket of tabs after closing. I know it sounds trivial but he didn't have to do this because the store was technically closed and he wanted to go home. This place used to be so helpful. Since new management took over, the customer service is lacking. The heavy set Hispanic manager is rude and does not have the knowledge or experience to be running a Leslie's store. I had a few questions that needed to be answered and he just shrugged his shoulders. He never left from behind the counter to explain any products. A female employee, who was very nice, assisted me with that I needed. The store used to display floats and lounge chairs etc. Now, inside is very stark and almost seems as if they're going out of business. Don't waste your time at this Leslie's. read more

I came to this place with a REALLY bad pool water and they explained me everything I was supposed to know about it. 2 weeks after the treatment, I got my pool back in race ! Doesn't matter what store you call. None of these people know anything about customer service or pools. They put you on hold for 10 minutes and say we are a busy store. No apologies then hang up on you. This has to be the worst place in the country to buy anything pool related. Lowe's is more knowledgeable for crying out loud. Go anywhere but here. read more

I saw the other review written today and that got me thinking. Man, I've been going here for something like 9 years now...and every single year their prices seem to get more and more expensive. Ha Ha. Their base prices are ridiculous, I don't buy anything unless it is on sale. This sucks when I need something right away and don't feel like being violated. I wish they'd take the new JC Penny approach. Like any pool store they stock and sell an awful lot of stuff that you just don't need to properly take care of your pool. What really got my attention was their store manager, Louis. I brought a bottle of conditioner up to the counter and he asked me what I was going to do with it. I enplaned that I was going to put it in my pool (duh)! I mean come on, more is better right?! He politely set me straight and actually told me NOT TO BUY IT! Wow, the anti salesman. I was quite surprised, and a little embarrassed at my lack of pool skills. Spend a few hours scouring the internet and you'll learn what you really need for your pool to look nice. I had Leslie's install a new variable speed pump last year. The whole thing was pretty painless (you won't hear me say that often about contractors) and I have seen a small decrease in my energy bill. So crappy prices combined with good service has me at a 3 star review. Guess I'll come back here 'cuase the pool isn't exactly going to take care of itself. read more

Denny and Philip not only explained everything we needed to know, but they recommended products specific to the size of our pool rather than pushing the most expensive items. I am amazed that when an employee, especially a store manager, follows a customer into the parking lot, asking if there was a problem after sending us on a goose chase because he was too lazy to call the store before sending us out to the Desert Inn store. When returning, Joe was confrontational starting "well I guess we had what you needed after all." After completing the transaction, we walked out. He followed us out and into the parking. I had a very bad experience at a store in Las Vegas. The workers at this location are very rude and did not help me when was looking to buy many chemicals to refill my pool. I have used Leslie's for many years for my pool products and needs. As of now i will never go back to any of Leslie's pools stores. I was treated like a piece of crap by employees of Leslie's pools. I have been a customer of this store for 16 years and all the employees are very friendly and very helpful! They help me with all of my purchases and test my pool water. Recently I wanted to learn how to clean my pool filter cartridges. The store manager Joe took a lot of time showing me how to do it on an in-store filter model that was like the one I have. He was very encouraging as I was nervous because I was new to me. He gave me his card and told me to call him with any questions. Once I started, I did call him a couple times with questions and he was so helpful! The project was a success and I feel confident enough to clean it in the future. Very rude at this location. Manager has an attitude . Went to get a part. Sent me to another store. That store did not have it. I went to 3 other stores. When I finally went back to su set store manger gave me attutude saying " I guess we did have what you needed after all.". I said no but i have to make due with what you have he said " i guess you do". He proceeded to follow me out to the parking lot and ask me if I had a problem. I felt threatened. I should have called the cops. Do not go to this store . Very very rude and do not care about customer service. Very poor attitude toward customers. I've been shopping here for years and lately the service has been much better since they hired the young lady. She is extremely helpful and polite, and she is more knowledgeable then the guys whom have helped me over the years. I think the guy who had a bad experience was probably a chauvinistic pig like many other people I've seen in the store talking to the lady. I recommend this place over many of the other stores. And ask to speak to the lady, she knows what she's talking about. read more
