The food is amazing and always fresh. The drinks are good and cheap you should stop by.

I've been to the Boston restaurant bar and grill a number of times and have some mixed emotions…read moreabout this place. My go to nights were weekdays because they have a great bartender that goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable and have exactly what you want. Outside of her the drinks are ok. I had the pizza it's pretty good, the Haitian meals give you the best value, it's loaded with sides although they're hit or miss and the downfall of this place is that they're always out of something. It's usually pretty slow with traffic and the waitstaff at times you have to look for them (especially when you're ready to leave lol). This place has great potential but I would say it's hit or miss most of the time.

This Hyde Park Haitian-fusion bistro is a newcomer on the rise. A casual vibe with strong flavors…read moreand an extraordinary ROI, there is much to enjoy right now before it becomes a hot-spot. In particular, the "Grassfed Burger" currently on the menu deserves to be considered among the best burgers in Boston, and is hands-down the best I've ever had in this city under $20. BRB&G (had they only the foresight to be Boston Restaurant Bar Grill & Ribeye!!) is a tasty and affordable delight with an easygoing but hardworking staff who make every effort to handle challenges and treat old and new customers with respect and a level of culinary skill that shows definite signs of significant current delights and future opportunities. I look forward to coming back.

It is not easy to gain access to this place…read more I arrived here at noon on a sunday, eager to start a UYE day drinking campaign. The door was locked, and the windows were opaque. I wasn't sure if the bar was abandoned, closed, or if they were just unwilling to accept my business. Moments later, what could only be a "regular" sullenly unlocked and opened the door for me. I asked "are you open?" and got an affirmative grunt in response. Master McGrath's is actually quite spacious and clean; the bar has about 15 seats, and is well-lined with small flat-screen TVs, the better to see the Sox beat the snot out of the O's. They have an internet jukebox, and a popcorn machine for free snacking. I knew right away that I was in a bar frequented almost exclusively by regulars; the surprisingly cute female bartender was eager to prepare drinks for the customers walking *in from the back door* before they sat down. I received a fairly standard silent-treatment half hour, followed by a cautious inclusion in some casual conversation. Being a gregarious individual, I soon was laughing and chatting with the regulars, and even had one of them buy me a drink, a favor I returned later. I was not able to get a Jameson - the man who bought me the drink explained that "if there's a bottle of Jameson, I'll drink it all." Of course, I didn't know if he was a manager, owner, or regular customer, but he is apparently important enough to the management that in an Irish pub, they don't stock Jameson. The buffalo fingers are top feckin' shelf. Definitely worth ordering. Hyde Park is a neighborhood that could use some more folks making the trip down to see. Lisa, the bartender, is cute and friendly, and will chat you up about shark week. All in all, not a bad way to spend three hours on a Sunday afternoon.

Food was alright, nothing to memorable. Our server was going home halfway through our meal and tried multiple times to close our tab. I get she wants to get her tip but it was an unpleasant experience as a guest. We were obviously here for the game like everyone else and was not planning to leave in the second quarter. Waitress kept coming back every 5 to 10 min to try and clear our plates. After the third of fourth time I just told her to take it away so they don't keep bothering us. Unfortunately that was my lasting impression after she closed the tab and went home. We could have stuck around longer to order more drinks but vibe was already ruined and it was a terrible game. Not to mention one of the TV stopped working and speakers were cutting in and out the whole time.

Not Bad - was hoping it was better…read more Went here on a Saturday night and it was dead, which was good because we could sit down right away but bad because we didn't want to stick around for drinks afterwards at the bar. I wouldn't suggest ordering a salad, it was basic iceberg lettuce with some shredded cheese and lumpy balsamic dressing. The quahog appetizer was actually really good and I would order that again. I ordered the turkey tips, they were good but not amazing. My wife ordered the Alfredo cheese bread and the sauce was a gloopy tasteless mess. My jack and diet was strong so that was a nice surprise. Overall, this is one of those places that locals will tell you it's great because they have eating the same 6 out of 10 dishes for 15 years. The service was good and they are nice people but it's nothing to write home about. If we were local we'd probably frequent, but driving 45 minutes we probably won't make it back here, if that tells you anything. Thanks
