Our party of 7 was seated right away for lunch. The restaurant isn't huge, but it's decorated nicely and is comfortable. I'm glad to know it's there, as I didn't realize it before. I ordered the chicken topopo with a few special requests to meet some dietary needs, which they were happy to do. Our server was friendly and efficient. The bill comes to you with the credit card pricing, but you get a little discount if you pay in cash.

The food here is delicious! We were here for lunch and the portions were generous, fresh, and authentic. The service was friendly and accommodating as I had to handle a few calls before ordering. A must try!

Leos is the best Mexican food in central tucson, and equal or better to any graduation in south forth avenue! The meats are quality, they're not fatty. There's no gristle there's no fat. The sauces are all homemade they're superb. They have typical sonoran mexican food, which is what I was raised on in scottsdale. I started going to Leo's about 30 years ago. I was driving by and noticed a Mexican sign there. Leo's, I went in and I've tried it and yeah, I was just amazed. So I started bringing people in, and I've been going that long. Leos became my husband's favorite restaurant. And then my mother's favorite restaurant, we had her ninetieth birthday there and all her others as well. And most of my birthdays were spent at leo's. The staff is friendly and the place is clean and bright. It's not overpriced.I don't like and say, is it's excellent!! And I know what i'm talking about, i've written a cookbook, and i've lived in Az for years, sixty years! Jane beecher

The service is just like being served by your kind grandmother. They truly care about everyone that walks in the door. The food is absolutely incredible and the amount they give you for the price is unbeatable. Would choose this over any Mexican restaurant in the area. They obviously do not advertise to write a review other wise they would be #1

Combo plate with significant portions for the price. Enchalada sauce, muah! Pour it on, please.

Unfortunately, Guadalajara is one of these places. What I like: This restaurant can accommodate well over 100 diners without sacrificing service. Food only took 20 minutes during a dinner rush. I appreciate a well-oiled machine. I will admit, the salsa gimmick is charming. What needs work: Just because there's tableside salsa does not mean it's good. I have never seen anyone use so much cilantro! The drinks are mid--the jalapeno margarita uses the mildest peppers in the universe, and surprise! It's somehow also loaded with cilantro. I excitedly went for the biggest, most famous burrito on the menu and it just has too many ingredients (beans, rice, bacon, shrimp, carne asada) to work. They were too ambitious with this one. My bad. I can see this as a really fun place to take a large group from out of town. I bet if you come from the Midwest (it is full of snowbirds from the Midwest), this is mind-blowingly good. By Arizona standards, however, there are just too many old-timey places that simply do everything better.

The entire restaurant was packed with energy, music, and people enjoying the celebration, but it still managed to keep that classic Tucson charm and authentic Sonoran feel that has made El Charro such an iconic spot for over 100 years. The ambience downtown was fantastic, especially with the historic setting and the excitement throughout the evening. Cinco de Mayo brought an extra level of energy to the restaurant, with a lively crowd, great music, and a fun atmosphere that made the night feel like a true celebration. Even with how busy it was, the staff worked hard to keep things moving and remained friendly throughout the night. The food was excellent and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and you can tell why El Charro has become such a Tucson staple over the years. The carne seca continues to stand out as one of the signature dishes in the city, and the traditional Sonoran-style flavors really make the experience unique. The margaritas and drinks were also a highlight and paired perfectly with the festive Cinco de Mayo atmosphere. Between the food, drinks, music, and the energy of downtown Tucson, it felt like one of the best places in the city to celebrate the holiday. Overall, El Charro Cafe delivered a memorable Cinco de Mayo experience with great food, a lively atmosphere, and the kind of Tucson history and culture that keeps people coming back year after year.

Spacious patio area, with cool lights, umbrellas, and many tables. If you have a choice and it isn't too hot, sit outside. The food is stellar! The rest of the table (3 more) ordered the green chicken enchiladas. They didn't need to rave about it: their plates were completely clean at the end of the meal! We ordered Tamarindo and Horchata drinks between us, and frankly, the Tamarindo is some of the best I've ever had anywhere. Service can be a little slow, especially if they're busy. Their back patio looks super cute for warmer nights and the food was great. Little bit of a wait but the friendly servers got us sat as soon as possible at 7pm Saturday. Salsa and chips were tasty, the carne asada was excellent. The corn tortillas are thick and perfectly charred. The green enchiladas were good too. The sauce was thicker than usual, but that's probably the Native fusion instead of being just Mexican enchiladas. So glad we stopped in, we ate every bite. Honestly, I wish I could give Yaquesita a little more, maybe half a star more, because this place definitely has potential. Their flavors are good, but compared to similar restaurants the menu feels a bit overpriced. For a party of three we ended up paying around $100, which felt like a bit much for what we got. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only about 3-4 tables inside, but the patio is a decent size and has a cute vibe. It's actually a nice option on cooler days if you don't mind sitting outside. Some items were better than others. The wet-style burrito was delicious and definitely a highlight. The quesabirrias were good, however the birria felt more like fancier shredded beef. It was missing that rich, spicy, slightly acidic, earthy flavor that usually sets birria apart from barbacoa or traditional shredded beef dishes. The bowl was just okay and had lots of lettuce. It felt more like a salad with a bit of meat, rice, and beans. Honestly, Chipotle does bowls better, and that says a lot considering the price. The nachos were good, but I've had better. Seis Kitchen has amazing nachos to share. That said, it's definitely a place I'd come back to mainly out of convenience, not because one particular item on the menu won my heart. I really do hope they continue refining the menu because the flavors are there and this place could easily become a standout spot. Personally I just think at the total price of my ticket other restaurants should not even have room in my mind during my meal. If you're in the area and looking for a safe bet where everyone will probably find something they like, it's worth giving them a try.
