3 tiny tiny carnitas street tacos $11.55.

I will never go back. Taco Tuesday is supposed to be a day where you get a deal on tacos. That is not this place. I bought 9 street tacos for a grand total of $40.92. These things are barely enough for a kids meal. It is typical tactic, charge more and give you less. Save your money chose another restaurant that gives you more bang for your buck.

Looking at this place from the outside you would think it is a fast food Mexican restaurant similar to Filbertos. However, this place is anything but. The ambiance inside is very quiet and quaint and they have a full sit down service. It's nothing like a fast food place at all! The service is very friendly and prompt. They always come by to check on you. The stand out however is the food! So good and prices are reasonable for what you get. They serve complimentary chips with bean dip and there is a salsa bar where you can get whatever salsas you want. For main meals I got a grilled chicken burrito with rice filling and my husband got the 3 small chimichangas enchilada style with shredded beef inside. Everything was so delicious. We will definitely be back!

We finally found a place on this side of town that serves a good Mexican breakfast! We happened upon this place by chance while I was waiting for new tires to be put on my truck at a nearby tire shop. It's bright and clean inside and the server was very friendly and helpful. Lots of options to choose from. My BF got the breakfast tacos with chorizo. It came with beans and breakfast potatoes that are nice sized chucks cooked with peppers and onions. I chose the build your own plate which lets you pick 4 options. I selected the cheese enchilada, 2 eggs, beans and corn & green chili tamale. The tamale was my favorite. Nice sweet masa with a green chili that provided a good flavor without too much heat which is how I like it for breakfast. The beans could have used a little more salt but that's just my preference. I really hope this place succeeds because they seem to take a lot of pride in their food.

This Vegetarian omelette was perfect in every way!

This location is decent with a sit down dine in experience. I had the tamales plate and it was good. The service was acceptable.

Tried this place on a whim and glad we did! Greeted as soon as we walked in the door, served chips with beans (delicious as they put chorizo in them!) upon sitting down. We ordered the Huevos Divorciados and the breakfast burrito with chorizo. Both were wonderful. Our server was delightful and very friendly, restaurant was clean, as were the restrooms. Definitely recommend!

Inside is spacious. Very clean including the bathroom.

Tried Salsa Verde today on Oracle and they had me at Chips and a Bean Dip. They have a salsa bar as well. Fantastic service and our food was YUM!! The best rajas I've had in Tucson so far! Prices are right on pointl. It was nice inside. Spacious and clean. Their menu has a little bit of everything. Don't go there hungry, they have displays with pictures of their food. You'll want EVERYTHING!!

Unfortunately, Guadalajara is one of these places. What I like: This restaurant can accommodate well over 100 diners without sacrificing service. Food only took 20 minutes during a dinner rush. I appreciate a well-oiled machine. I will admit, the salsa gimmick is charming. What needs work: Just because there's tableside salsa does not mean it's good. I have never seen anyone use so much cilantro! The drinks are mid--the jalapeno margarita uses the mildest peppers in the universe, and surprise! It's somehow also loaded with cilantro. I excitedly went for the biggest, most famous burrito on the menu and it just has too many ingredients (beans, rice, bacon, shrimp, carne asada) to work. They were too ambitious with this one. My bad. I can see this as a really fun place to take a large group from out of town. I bet if you come from the Midwest (it is full of snowbirds from the Midwest), this is mind-blowingly good. By Arizona standards, however, there are just too many old-timey places that simply do everything better.

You walk in and it's alive. Busy, a little loud, full of energy, and it smells incredible before you even sit down. The food delivers in a big way. I went with a mix just to cover some ground. The carne seca plate stood out right away, deep, rich flavor without being heavy. I also tried a chimichanga that came out perfectly crisp, packed with filling, and somehow not greasy. That's a fine line and they nailed it. The enchiladas were exactly what you want too, saucy, flavorful, and clearly made with care rather than rushed out of the kitchen. Everything felt intentional, from the seasoning to the portions. You're not leaving hungry, that's for sure. Service kept pace with the chaos in the best way. Friendly, efficient, and they didn't miss a beat even with the place packed. It felt like controlled motion, not disorder. The atmosphere is part of the experience. It's not quiet or polished, and it shouldn't be. It feels real. Families, locals, people who clearly come back again and again. That kind of place. If you're visiting Tucson, this is a must. No question. It's the kind of spot that defines a trip, not just fills a meal.

The entire restaurant was packed with energy, music, and people enjoying the celebration, but it still managed to keep that classic Tucson charm and authentic Sonoran feel that has made El Charro such an iconic spot for over 100 years. The ambience downtown was fantastic, especially with the historic setting and the excitement throughout the evening. Cinco de Mayo brought an extra level of energy to the restaurant, with a lively crowd, great music, and a fun atmosphere that made the night feel like a true celebration. Even with how busy it was, the staff worked hard to keep things moving and remained friendly throughout the night. The food was excellent and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and you can tell why El Charro has become such a Tucson staple over the years. The carne seca continues to stand out as one of the signature dishes in the city, and the traditional Sonoran-style flavors really make the experience unique. The margaritas and drinks were also a highlight and paired perfectly with the festive Cinco de Mayo atmosphere. Between the food, drinks, music, and the energy of downtown Tucson, it felt like one of the best places in the city to celebrate the holiday. Overall, El Charro Cafe delivered a memorable Cinco de Mayo experience with great food, a lively atmosphere, and the kind of Tucson history and culture that keeps people coming back year after year.

Honestly, I wish I could give Yaquesita a little more, maybe half a star more, because this place definitely has potential. Their flavors are good, but compared to similar restaurants the menu feels a bit overpriced. For a party of three we ended up paying around $100, which felt like a bit much for what we got. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only about 3-4 tables inside, but the patio is a decent size and has a cute vibe. It's actually a nice option on cooler days if you don't mind sitting outside. Some items were better than others. The wet-style burrito was delicious and definitely a highlight. The quesabirrias were good, however the birria felt more like fancier shredded beef. It was missing that rich, spicy, slightly acidic, earthy flavor that usually sets birria apart from barbacoa or traditional shredded beef dishes. The bowl was just okay and had lots of lettuce. It felt more like a salad with a bit of meat, rice, and beans. Honestly, Chipotle does bowls better, and that says a lot considering the price. The nachos were good, but I've had better. Seis Kitchen has amazing nachos to share. That said, it's definitely a place I'd come back to mainly out of convenience, not because one particular item on the menu won my heart. I really do hope they continue refining the menu because the flavors are there and this place could easily become a standout spot. Personally I just think at the total price of my ticket other restaurants should not even have room in my mind during my meal.
