The worst experience I've ever had with an auto repair shop! While the 2 women were pleasant Jon was having a very bad day and apparently that was due to his ex-wife, the government, me and I believe Progressive. Those were all the people that he was loudly discussing while I was in there. Here was my experience 1. 7:39 my son called and asked would we be able to have the car diagnosed today (check engine light). He said he spoke to Jon who said yes. 2. I arrived at 10:37 to leave my car and I asked the woman at the counter would it be ready by 2:30. She very confidently said yes they could complete the diagnostic but probably not the repair. 3. At 3:08 I called because I had not heard anything and was told he was looking at it now and would call soon. 4. At 4:07 I could no longer wait so I went in. I was told he was "working on it" and asked if I needed the car today. I said yes I need it now. After a few minutes I realized no one was moving so I asked what was happening. Jon said he's working on it. I said I can bring it back but I have to go. He jumped up and said he would bring the car out of the garage. This is where it gets interesting! He brings my car out and they say I have to pay their diagnostic fee. I said not without the diagnostics! Seems reasonable right? So I ask what's the issue with my car. They don't know yet. Jon then says I hate people that don't want to pay. I say I'm more than willing to pay if I know the issue. He then hands me my keys and tells me to never come back. Well that won't be a problem. If you're able to avoid Jon this might be a good spot. I will never know and recommend avoiding them! read more

Brought my car in for oil change, replace one headlight, diagnose whirring noise from engine when I accelerate and check/replace struts. They called to tell me that the engine noise was just the hood lift rubbing against a belt. Easy fix. So I give them the green light to replace the struts, costing me about $1100 in total. When I drive off the lot, the car is still making that whirring noise. I called them, and they were very apologetic and willing to check the car out again. After a few days of being frustrated on what to do, I decided to take it back for them to diagnose the engine noise again. They call to tell me that I need to replace my transmission, with a cost of about $3400. I told them not to do any work and that I would pick up the car as-is. I am frustrated because I do not understand how they could have "fixed" the noise and not realize that it was still making the noise. I fear that if they had taken my request more seriously, they would have test-driven the car and heard the noise. Hell, if they just turned the car on while it was in the shop and revved the engine, they would have heard the noise from the busted transmission! But I don't think they did that. And this is significant because, based on them telling me it was an easy fix re: the noise, I OK'd them to replace my struts. If I had known that the transmission needed to be replaced, I never would have wasted $1100 to replace the struts. My car is a 2015 with 144k miles; the cost of a new transmission is more than the car is worth. I honestly don't know whether I'm being unreasonable or whether I legit have a basis to be angry with them, but at the end of the day, I now need to buy a new car and the car that I am trading-in has four-day-old brand new struts. A complete waste of my money. read more

Taking my car to a car shop is always a nerve racking thing for me because I never know about price and if they did a great job. I choose Leo's based on their reviews and am so happy I did! When I called Leo answered the phone and I talked to him about my car needs (tire rotation, oil change, and new front brake pads). He forwarded me to the office manager who asked me about my car details then gave me a worst case scenario price quote which actually wasn't bad (under $300). I didn't need to make an appointment so I dropped it off Wednesday morning and they ended up doing everything by 2pm that day! They called me before they did any work giving me the price which was less than I was quoted! Woohoo! Everyone I spoke to was very nice and they did a great job (now my car doesn't make a noise when I brake and my service light went off) 10/10 would defiantly come here again! read more

I have taken 2 of my cars here on multiple occasions for both small repairs (headlight replacement, oil change) to larger ones (had to replace my alternator on one occasion). These guys are awesome. I broke down on 695 going towards York Pa and I was on the left side of the highway. My car got towed to them and they had it in their shop for one day and I have power steering again. Now your thinking back in my day we didn't have power steering what's the big fuss?? Well the belts that go along with everything else kind of broke down and he truck started to overheat. I have used Lee's about 3 times over the last year for issues and every time they have been great. For a small shop they have great staff and they will always try to work with you to fit in with their scheduled appointments. Even if I have to leave my car, I don't mind because I know they are going to do good work. Now that I am out of my dealer warranty, they are starting to be my go to spot for car service. read more

I got a flat tire and I walked in without an appointment and was out within 35 minutes. I was greeted by Leo and he was super nice and I could tell how much he cared about my problem. I had a great experience at Leo's Auto and would highly recommend. The service is quick, professional, and affordable. A light came on in my car indicating low tire pressure so I brought my car in to Leo's with the intention of leaving it there for a couple hours and going back to work (my work is walking distance). Leo diagnosed the problem - a nail in one of my tires - in less than 5 minutes. He patched my tire for about $15. When all is said an done, he had me in and out in less than 15 minutes. Wow. This place is the epitome of a dishonest shop. My vehicle broke down and since it is a little "different" than most, I called around trying to find a shop that was willing to work on it. Leo's was the first to say yes, so went with them. Having done minor repairs on cars myself, but this being beyond my "expertise", I knew something was not right when they said it would be 300 plus just to take the transfer case out to inspect it, and then another 4 to 8 hours to fix it. When he said that the entire transfer case looked like it needed replacing, I knew right away that this was not a shop to trust my vehicle with. I found another mechanic ASAP and went to have it towed to that shop, and even though they had said they'd inspect it for free, they held my vehicle hostage until I paid 75 bucks just to get it out!!! I took it to an auto shop in Timonium, and they just called. All it needed was some fluid (can't help but wonder if Leo's emptied it...) and maybe a small part repair but that it wasn't "necessary". My suspicions about Leo's were 100% confirmed and my suggestion is to stay FAR away from this shop!! I have never written a review before but I am compelled to do so today to save others from being ripped off by such an unethical shop!! read more

EXPERT, PROMP SERVICE AT A REASONABLE PRICE I have been a loyal customer of Leo's for over 12 years. When my 1992 Nissan Sentra was on deaths door step Leo and his pit crew rebuilt the entire car and have serviced it ever since. On one occasion I took my car to get inspected at another shop and they said I needed $1600 worth of work to pass the inspection. I was suspicious, so I took it over to Leo's who checked it and got it to their inspection guy who said the issues the other shop pointed out were totally minor or non-existent. Check your receipt! Leo's Auto did work on my boyfriend's car (it seems to have been done well, in fairness) but tried to overcharge me twice. Mark, a mechanic and the guy behind the counter, charged my credit card for more than was written on the receipt. I noticed immediately and complained; Mark said his finger had slipped (impossible, since he had to write the amount as well as punch it in) and gave me cash to make it up. A minute later, I realized that he had given me less cash than I was owed, and went back in to get the rest. Neither Mark nor Leo, the owner, who was there for the whole thing, was even embarrassed by the incident. Mark gave a perfunctory apology each time I caught him. I have a 16 year old car that I want to drive as long as possible. My old mechanic is good but he is very inconvenient for me. You need an appointment, you need to leave the car all day, etc. I really wanted a good, honest, inexpensive mechanic close to where I llve and work. I had tried three in the past and had been unhappy with the experience. I decided to give Leo's a try. I called to make an appointment and Mark said I didn't need one, just come in. When I got there before opening time they were already up and running and very busy. Mark was very friendly and said they would call me with an estimate. I figured they'd be a while because they were so busy but he called me in about 20 minutes with an estimate and said it would be ready in 2 hours. He called about 90 minutes later and let me know the car was ready. AND, they checked out a tire that concerned me for no extra charge. They took it off and checked for leaks and punctures.
