However, now the door locks do not work. I called this morning to offer them the chance to remedy it, and instead was told that the door lock actuators must have failed (mind you, that would be a completely separate issue/repair). Well, given that the locks worked fine when I dropped the car off yesterday, now after the master switch replacement they suddenly do not work, it's only logical to assume there must be an issue with that new master switch and/or the installation work. They couldn't accommodate me today, and I'm about to start a new job, so I don't have the ability to bring it in later due to their inconvenient strictly M-F hours. I asked if there were any other options, was thinking maybe a discount or partial refund since I am now stuck with needing yet another repair after their work, but no dice. $480 down the drain. Next time I will go to O'Donnell Honda to have truly affordable repairs, done right the first time, and by a shop that stands by their work.

This place was a recommendation so of course I came to Yelp for verification. The reviews were good so here were are. I agree, this is one of those old fashioned, honest, garages. It's in an odd spot though, and from the outside you probably wouldn't guess it's a service station. But once you step inside you'll be awed. However, there's no place to chill and wait so you'll need a ride or just plan to leave and come back. I wanted a 'tune up'. My Honda is a commuter car and for 3-years old, she has some miles on her. I just wanted piece of mind. He said for first time visits he likes to do a good once over. I thought that meant I'd be paying for some things I hadn't planned on. Glenn spoke to us on the phone to see if there was anything we could diagnose beforehand, and then coordinated towing for us. Glenn did everything to make sure we could get back on the road as soon as possible, and kept us informed every step of the way. He explained the nature of the issue and the necessary repairs in a way that made sense and helped us to get our bearings in the situation. We stayed in the shop for a bit while they were inspecting the vehicle, and every single member of the staff was so friendly and respectful: we were probably offered a water or Gatorade by 3 or 4 different staff members in the time we were there. Glenn managed to get the repairs completed even earlier than we had initially anticipated, so we were back on the road in time not to miss our family. He even provided us notes and pictures of the issue so that we could take them back to the shop which had done previous work on our car and had it covered under warranty. Using the information he provided, we were able to get the repair covered by that warranty. The quality of service Glenn and his team provided is some of the best I have seen in the business, and they do it for a very reasonable price. If you find yourself in a nightmare situation, they're the people for the job.

Those were all the people that he was loudly discussing while I was in there. Here was my experience 1. 7:39 my son called and asked would we be able to have the car diagnosed today (check engine light). He said he spoke to Jon who said yes. 2. I arrived at 10:37 to leave my car and I asked the woman at the counter would it be ready by 2:30. She very confidently said yes they could complete the diagnostic but probably not the repair. 3. At 3:08 I called because I had not heard anything and was told he was looking at it now and would call soon. 4. At 4:07 I could no longer wait so I went in. I was told he was "working on it" and asked if I needed the car today. I said yes I need it now. After a few minutes I realized no one was moving so I asked what was happening. Jon said he's working on it. I said I can bring it back but I have to go. He jumped up and said he would bring the car out of the garage. This is where it gets interesting! He brings my car out and they say I have to pay their diagnostic fee. I said not without the diagnostics! Seems reasonable right? So I ask what's the issue with my car. They don't know yet. Jon then says I hate people that don't want to pay. I say I'm more than willing to pay if I know the issue. He then hands me my keys and tells me to never come back. Well that won't be a problem. If you're able to avoid Jon this might be a good spot. I will never know and recommend avoiding them!
