I called up JT Auto as soon as my check engine light came on and I was connected with Lisa, who is an absolute gem! She was able to get me an appointment for the next day and walked me through the whole process. I had to come back more than once in between my meetings, and Lisa was very considerate and informed me that because they were experiencing a delay, she could stay open a little late so I could pick up my vehicle. The first time I checked in, she informed me that the wrong part was sent over, but Lisa expertly navigated calling the right folks to ensure that I got the right part! When picking up my car, JT was able to answer all my questions and recommended some helpful service tips that may save me from some grief in the future. The second time I went in was for routine maintenance and the whole JT Auto team was able to get me in and out ASAP! I can say with confidence that JT Auto is my go-to location for all my car needs. Thanks to the whole team for providing efficient, reliable service!

I keep coming back despite moving to a different neighborhood because it's the **only** place I've worked with in Baltimore that seems honest and competent. Clark regularly charges literally hundreds less compared to other shops that have given me estimates. They are friendly and practical. They have never tried to upsell me. As a woman, I am so grateful to have a place to take my car where I don't have to worry about being financially taken advantage of because of sexist assumptions that women don't understand cars. This place is simply a GEM. I recommend it highly!

The key fob was difficult for me, but they handled the issue with no problem and with flying colors. I have been recommending him just a few hours after he completed his work. They are amazing, you won't be disappointed at all. No surprises with the prices or services. He did not try to upsell me or anything.

Those were all the people that he was loudly discussing while I was in there. Here was my experience 1. 7:39 my son called and asked would we be able to have the car diagnosed today (check engine light). He said he spoke to Jon who said yes. 2. I arrived at 10:37 to leave my car and I asked the woman at the counter would it be ready by 2:30. She very confidently said yes they could complete the diagnostic but probably not the repair. 3. At 3:08 I called because I had not heard anything and was told he was looking at it now and would call soon. 4. At 4:07 I could no longer wait so I went in. I was told he was "working on it" and asked if I needed the car today. I said yes I need it now. After a few minutes I realized no one was moving so I asked what was happening. Jon said he's working on it. I said I can bring it back but I have to go. He jumped up and said he would bring the car out of the garage. This is where it gets interesting! He brings my car out and they say I have to pay their diagnostic fee. I said not without the diagnostics! Seems reasonable right? So I ask what's the issue with my car. They don't know yet. Jon then says I hate people that don't want to pay. I say I'm more than willing to pay if I know the issue. He then hands me my keys and tells me to never come back. Well that won't be a problem. If you're able to avoid Jon this might be a good spot. I will never know and recommend avoiding them!

So far, so good! I…read moremoved and needed a real mechanic for my Honda Civic. Valvoline is good for oil changes, but... This place was a recommendation so of course I came to Yelp for verification. The reviews were good so here were are. I agree, this is one of those old fashioned, honest, garages. It's in an odd spot though, and from the outside you probably wouldn't guess it's a service station. But once you step inside you'll be awed. However, there's no place to chill and wait so you'll need a ride or just plan to leave and come back. I wanted a 'tune up'. My Honda is a commuter car and for 3-years old, she has some miles on her. I just wanted piece of mind. He said for first time visits he likes to do a good once over. I thought that meant I'd be paying for some things I hadn't planned on. BUT, to my surprise he relayed the car was in good shape. He changed the oil, put on new wipers, and gave me a run-down of what's to come. I'm a fan of honest service. I'll be back!

When I asked if someone could take a look at my truck, I was told, "No, I'm not going to lay on wet pavement." I understood that the ground was wet, but the way it was said came across as rude and dismissive. When I politely asked him to repeat the estimate, he responded, "I just told you an around-about estimate," in a condescending tone. I explained that I was simply trying to do business and didn't appreciate the way I was being spoken to. His response was to tell me that I could leave. I left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I can't say why I was treated that way, but the interaction left me questioning whether bias may have played a role. Regardless of the reason, no customer should be treated with that level of disrespect. I took my business elsewhere and would not recommend this shop based on my experience.
